What products did you use to paint inside of the cowl ??? I see you didn't use seam sealer between the upper and lower cowls are you worried about leaks between and into your car???
I just used a can primer, not ideal but it works. Off camera I used a seam sealer around the perimeter of the cowl, after the paint process I will also use a cavity wax for the inside of the cowl for missed seams.
Just curious, wouldn’t it of been easier to reinstall all the under dash items (wire harness, heater box etc) before installing the cowl? Just asking because I’m getting ready to start on my ‘65 and I know how difficult it is to work under the dash.
It would be easier, but I plan on painting the dash at a later time so id have to take it out again if i had put it in now! I agree that it is so hard to work under the dash!
I like your car very much with the faded paint job, it gives her personality . I love the blue faded, mine is a darker blue :)
honestly, bad ass video i really enjoyed it. I'm starting a 1965 as well and this is kind of inspiring to document it too.

what did you put around the vents holes and what was that steel wool to sand it and paint?
He put a silicone sealant around the vents to prevent water buildup, just protection. He’s scuffed the paint so the primer would stick well
too bad you didn't put the drain holes in the lower cowl....now any moisture will sit ,...worse then having a plugged drain.🙄
Its designed to drain from the sides
