good job young man , keep showing clips of funny comedians, See if you can find the one where JOHNNY Carson (after seeing his cigarrete box broken) goes to next tv set where DON was filming a show. It's hilarious and of course the times DON was a guest on TONITE show
This was one of the sweetest interviews I've seen of Rickles in later life. I just could not stop laughing. We lost a treasure when he died. He was something else.
I love that right off the bat he goes in "like you you're not retired and youve been asked to"🤣🤣 ...it's just one after the other and love the crew laughing in the background.
I've done a lot of reading about health, fitness and longevity and one thing that keeps coming up over and over again is that in studies of people who live into their 90's and beyond, it's remarkable how many of them are light hearted. I remember reading one study in which the author stated in his summary that there was "not a grump among them". Negativity, hate, anger, stress are all things that are physically toxic to us. This man has shown us the way to live life as well as a Saint! He had a kind heart and he had an absolutely incredible sense of humor, one of the funniest men to ever live.
Danimal300zx Your right. Now if only they could bottle his brain and his mouth when he passes. Not cryogenics or any of that nonsense. Just a brain with a a mouth and maybe even a hologram of Don just to add to the creep factor.
I am 46 years old, and I am honored to have lived during Mr. Rickles' lifetime. I was too young to appreciate his humor in the 70's, but thank God for TH-cam because when I learned about him I once spent a month watching TH-cam videos of him on the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast and other programmes. Best. Entertainer. Ever!! Now all of Heaven is clutching their sides and rolling on the floor because Mr. Warmth is on The Stage. R.I.P. Mr. Rickles. Thank you for all the laughs. Much love and respect.
He isn't lying when he says, that's his personality. My father was in a restaurant once and Rickles and wife we're also there. He said his wife is just calmly reading the menu and Rickles is sitting there insulting the waiter and people around him. Hysterical
I thought that was interesting too; ''my personality'' , I think this is partially true of most comedians, I can't even tell a great joke and get laughs, I think for the most part , it's personality, or your personal make up that gets you there.
My god these guys are so fast mentally at such an advanced age. My Grandpa died at 75 FIFTEEN YEARS before Rickle's current age of 90 (he's 88 here) and his mind was gone from Alzheimer's when he was 70. This is beautiful. Age sometimes just is a number!
It’s such a privilege and luxury to be able to live over again these and other incredible characters from our past. They’re still here even though they’re not.
Knowbody ever in the history of comedy was as funny Don Rickels ! I watched him in amazement as he just riffed off the top his head lightning fast stories. Only a New Yorker from his era could be this ridiculously funny and on all the time !!! RIP DON RICKLES !
Don Rickles was, without a doubt, the funniest man to have ever lived. Naturally witty, clever and very, very sharp. It's a shame he's lost to this world. Rest well, Mr. Rickles.
My goodness what a time I live in that I can just open my laptop, get on YT and watch Larry King interview Don Rickles. Wow. May these absolute legends live on forever!
The only two people both David Letterman and Craig Ferguson could ever hardly handle on their respective shows 😄 geniuses they were. May their souls rest in Peace, Mr. Don Rickles & Mr. Robin Williams.
Don Rickles' 90 years old mind was quicker than any modern teenager. This really gives you the magnitude of his unbelievable talent. In a fair world, people like him should be immortal.
I feel so humbled to have been skewered by Rickles during one of his live shows. I’d seen him live a few times and his show in his later years was basically the same each time with minor changes but I noticed he aimed at two areas near the front each time to interact with people and I managed to score tickets in one of those spots. Had he come again I’d have tried to get tickets in the other spot but he passed away 😢 … in the other spot he’d get someone to come on stage!
Not only was he hilarious but he was known to be a great human being. If you hadn't already, watch the Letterman show with Denzel Washington on as guest. He literally sat there after his interview just to be with Don Rickles. He roasted Denzel a bit but he loved every second of it. What a great sport he was... but the amount of respect Don gave Denzel was also astounding. Both were class acts.
Hilarious interview. Don Rickles always cracks me up. My girlfriend bought us tickets for my birthday back in 2006 and the night of the show he cancelled because he had gotten the flu. So the next time he was in town I bought two tickets for his show and that got cancelled. So the next time he came to town I said I'm not even going to try and get tickets because the way my luck was I figured he would cancel again, boy was I wrong. Anyway, since I couldn't see him in person I thought I would ask him for an autograph picture. To be honest I didn't think I would get one. About six weeks later I received it the mail.
What, that he got the flu or I didn't get tickets the third time around? No I was just happy that I received the autographed picture and now that he's gone I treasure it much more although it would have been nice to see his show.
Think about it, here he is sitting down doing an interview and he has Larry and the whole crew in the background, balling. Definition of Mr. Don Rickles, master of the punch line. Outstanding talent, outstanding individual.
Unbelievable I laughed for a good part of this entire video I just love the way he talks about Sinatra! Like Larry said this dudes an American treasure

Don Rickles!!! I saw a joke he did about Clint Eastwood in front of Clint Eastwood and I doubled over laughing and Clint did too. That's how great Don was! Everyone was in on the joke. May these two greats rest in peace. 🙏🏽
I'm 19 years old and really glad to have found Don Rickles. He's a seriously funny guy. I'm less happy, however, that Larry King has started dating my younger sister.
Good job Larry. Don can be serious and thoughtful as well as funny. He lets you know when he is about to be serious. He teaches us to laugh at oureselves.
The more the years go on and the new batch of comics come & go, the more I realize this guy was the greatest to ever do it. I am no boomer with nostalgia goggles, sure I am in my late 20s now, but I watched him online since I was an early teenager when I first got into comedy. Just an incredible performer anywhere he was, on stage and off. In interviews and on the street with random fans. Even when he repeats some quips I still somehow find them funny, I never like when comics repeat jokes usually but he is able to pull it off. I never got to see him perform, I am European, but the versatility of his act and the sharpness of his mind has never been seen since and I don't think we will see it again. He also did everything, every form of joke, every kind of acting, movies, shows, big stages small stages. The guy was so flexible, and all while never saying a SINGLE curse word, the crutch of the modern comedian. Just remarkable. His longevity is the most impressive part, here he is as an old man and he is still "performing" so to speak way past when his contemporaries have either retired or already passed away. He is still doing it. It's unbelievable. RIP to the Matador, hope he is 'warming' up a room wherever he is now.
Don said at the end of his life, "keep my name alive." As a 16-year-old, I often show and tell my high school classmates about my favorite comedian.
Awesome.

A guy like Don won't ever be replicated. That authentic personality along with his fast mind, he was a great comedian until his last breath
Even Larry King’s crew can’t contain their laughter. Love it.
Just like when Rickles was on Tom Snyders show you could hear his crew crack up.
Every single interview I've seen with him, everyone in the room - host and crew - are always cracking up. 😂
This is a staple in a Rickles interview, the crew losing it in the background. The man was too damn good.
true
Larry’s crew can contain anything they set their minds to

"Did you fire at the Japanese?"
"No, I fired at our own men to relax."
I had to re-watch that a few times because it's more funny the deeper the cut goes
Brilliant lol
lol, some things wrong with my hearing. I swear I couldn't make out what he said. Thanks for posting it

Ahhhhh! The "pussification of Americans". These are the idiots who get offended for ANY reason.
ah the humor, it was done to all, kept people laughing, hoping that he would not pick them......
I shot at our own men, to relax 😂
looks pretty good to me. he looks like he did back on the Dean Martin roasts
Never in any show you hear the crew laughing so hard from behind the scenes
It happened to this legend all the time
Legend, American treasure
6:05: "I'm eighty-eight years old: I don't know about no new world." Beautifully spoken.

RIP Don Rickles. There will never be another one like you especially in this PC world
