For paint berries i find it very inconsistent and have the same problem. The best you can do is make an efficient route for all of the herb type gathering spots. Keep in mind though that on top of paintballs every monster has a condition that increases retreat chance (like using a sever weapon to break pukei's tail)
Reset the gathering spots the same way you reset the Dens, go to the Catavan cycle to night/day, gather all the plants. Cycle the day/Night, gather, rinse and repeat

I’m having a bit of an issue with this,, so I’m getting the anjanath just fine, he pops up, but getting him to retreat is extremely hard. every monster i defeat in the north kamuna retreats, and i mean everything (the kulu, the velocidrome, haven’t tried the regular yian yet but i might) and if i don’t do so the pukei won’t even retreat either. does it have something to do with which egg you choose from the pukei den, or what monsters you kill on the way? Anjanath hasn’t retreated a single time for me and ive reset definitely more than 4 times, should i just keep retrying? if not ill just wait till full game. On a side note, thank you for making this a video, seeing my boy anja outside of the rage-ray battle is great enough even if i cant get the egg!
Just keep on trying really break all the parts and if you are really having trouble keep mining Gold Ore deposits and hope to find a charm with the Nesting Ability which will increase the chances of getting a monster to retreat
Oh frick. I tried it out, the Anjanath wasn't in the nest and there were only Velocidrome eggs. When i tried to leave, it didn't let me to. Any idea of why this happened?
Anyone else notice it’s the only one you found a heavy version? of all other eggs I’ve gotten they are all light. Also by my first question the heavy stat is always light except for anga.
Tried the method and it hasn't shown up and I am post demo ending. Tried walking a little bit around and the cat will tell me the nest is empty again. Tried waiting again and got the same message and no spawn.
Beware if you use this. I found a nother Glitch by testing this. If you Trigger a Battle as template with the Pukei and you go in the same moment in den Anjanath Den you trigger the battle in the Den and when this Happens the Den loads Incorrect and if you grab a Egg its only a Placeholder Egg and you cant leave the Den if you grab the Egg because the loading zones are not triggering. I Call it "Lost Den" Glitch.
The Anjanath doesn't even attack. No kinship, you ride on and the next turn you're magically off the monsite with health restored. It also doesn't attack on it's own.
so i have the fabled anjanath egg of legend i can confirm this method works even if you beat the last boss of the demo and reloaded the save data its even got a rainbow gene ;) so ill leave him as an egg till friday then ill see if hatching him in the main game destroys the entire world happy hunting oh and you can farm the anjanath fight over and over so good idea to grind his parts too
I just the anjanath running… ran to the den and while going in the Pukei respawns inside me, i get the loading screen, a short picture of the nest and then a Pukei surprise attack… after that battle the eggs inside the nest didn’t worked anymore and I could not leave xD the Pukei made me a prison inside the anjanath den
What? Find what? If you follow the steps it says that you need to make the pukie Retreat. And go into the den by the nest in the back of The Forrest. So if your not making the Pukie retreat, and are just killing it and waiting for Anja to spawn, than its not going to work.
Hey, had some concerns about weapons. GL and Hammer seem (bad) BUSTED with battle buddies since they have HtH mechanics... or am I missing something obvious?
Getting it to retreat at this state is a problem as you need to break his nose with a water element weapon which we have no access to in the demo so despite paintballing it before "slaying" it your still looking as a low or medium percentage for it to even retreat at the end of the battle
I got a really lucky roll on my first egg, I'm not gonna hatch it yet though. Sure I can't power level it like I have everything else but in the event that the glitch is patched out I don't want to pour time into something that is pointless. Plus if it's not patched, then cool, I actually have something to grind when the game launches.
Are the chances of the paintball 100 percent? Cause my anjanath didn't run away :/ and then re-trying neither did the pukei. So I've waisted paintballs
While a cool tutorial I would wager that if you played trough the demo and start the game on release that you probably get an anjanath pretty early on so I don't know if these extra steps are really worth it
It's possible that since Anjanath can't attack in the demo, this might give us a peek at how rarer monsters will work, example being that anjanath is a higher rarity monstie than what our rider can even use, meaning high rarities may be rideable, but they can't attack, might be a new balancing thing, or the demo literally just has some broken bits lol
I think he just doesn’t have any animations programmed yet so his attacks don’t work. I hacked a blighted rathalos into the first MHST and it was similar. The kinship attack did nothing because there just wasn’t one in the game for it
Well its mostly just unfinished, it has no animations for Monstie form, when its attacked by another monster it looks invisible l, and had no kinship animations either. So more like it's just not ready yet in the demo
@@dragairvideos7487 that's probably it, given the Anja we fight is rage rayed. Odd that most of Anja's animations are in aside from what seems to be monstie attacks and wild overworld animations, but i ain't complaining just gives me another thing to do until the full game's out
Its probably going to be like the first game, and won't be allowed on your team. Not to mention he doesn;t have any data and resources into him because he wasn't apart of the specified 6 for the demo
here ia a tip to get sap plants because I got a lot by doing this, what ever herb you see pick it up just a soon as you see one go get it, I gotten them more consistently when I do this so you can try this is you want that is probably the best tip I got for ya since that is all I have been doing to get them.
@@AngBata11 i found sap plants while i was farming for charms to level up my pot. Maybe you can farm them in the blue menace subquest den and make more paintballs
The Anjanath itself might still be useless when you transfer data over to full game, but it might also be fixed, and either way the eggs you find should be fine to hatch in the full game, so just get a couple of good eggs ready, because mote than likely this glitch won't work in full release
So, I can say this glitch worked and I started watching videos about it after I encountered it for the first time. I hatched the Anja and currently have it at the max level. Should I restart my trial save or will the file be ok if I leave it in the stables?

Just a little warning. It's really tedious to get that many charms. It probably took me somewhere between 4-6 hours of grinding to get to lvl20.
My guardian ratha den looks completely different from yours and I can't approach the eggs without getting a cutscene.
They're in the North Kamuna Forest!
HAHAHAHA I KNEW IT!!! I knew the glitch would be here!!! well it's not the same glitch but it's still kinda here!
I've done this in the full game and it works.
Im having the same problem and it sucks because i ran out of paint balls.
I recommend if it doesn't retreat close the game and reopen that way you don't waste any paintballs trust me on this it took me 3 hours to get one egg
yup same here fought him 6 times and 6 times painted but still no retreat
Just keep on trying really break all the parts and if you are really having trouble keep mining Gold Ore deposits and hope to find a charm with the Nesting Ability which will increase the chances of getting a monster to retreat
@@kyreestandifer522 shit that thing exists?!
Others: why are you smiling?
Me (from the Philippines): He said PUKE
As soon as the full game goes live, I’ll do this first thing but for now I’ll just wait
Well, time for me to redownload the demo.
Woow that is really cool
after the sealed den quest you cant do anything so i did it before
Bruh I wish I knew this sooner roar is sick n he’s so strong
Awww the little anjanath
I AM GOING TO TRY THIS TOMORROW
Oh frick. I tried it out, the Anjanath wasn't in the nest and there were only Velocidrome eggs. When i tried to leave, it didn't let me to. Any idea of why this happened?
Nvm just realized it was that Pukei-Pukei that attacked me right when i entered the nest, causing a glitch.
Omg, baby anjanath is adorable.
Anyone else notice it’s the only one you found a heavy version? of all other eggs I’ve gotten they are all light. Also by my first question the heavy stat is always light except for anga.
Wait, if I've already completed the Sealed Den quest, will this glitch still activate?
try it. you wont lose any. wait for 6 mins if it appears
Tried the method and it hasn't shown up and I am post demo ending. Tried walking a little bit around and the cat will tell me the nest is empty again. Tried waiting again and got the same message and no spawn.
@@Animadictsaiyuki Thanks
im also before the bossfight and this works for me but i just got 2 eggs
@@AngBata11 it does work u have to wait for 6 minutes
To find them use gathering charms which make it 10 percent easier
Beware if you use this. I found a nother Glitch by testing this. If you Trigger a Battle as template with the Pukei and you go in the same moment in den Anjanath Den you trigger the battle in the Den and when this Happens the Den loads Incorrect and if you grab a Egg its only a Placeholder Egg and you cant leave the Den if you grab the Egg because the loading zones are not triggering. I Call it "Lost Den" Glitch.
puke den doesnt sound so bad in my mother tongue
The Anjanath doesn't even attack. No kinship, you ride on and the next turn you're magically off the monsite with health restored. It also doesn't attack on it's own.
I did everything as you said in the video but when it ran away the nest didn't spawn for me
so i have the fabled anjanath egg of legend i can confirm this method works even if you beat the last boss of the demo and reloaded the save data its even got a rainbow gene ;) so ill leave him as an egg till friday then ill see if hatching him in the main game destroys the entire world happy hunting oh and you can farm the anjanath fight over and over so good idea to grind his parts too
Update? Did hatching this in the main game break anything?
@@dranziken no and the same glitch is in the main game aswell so happy hunting
@@ekibyodrakmord1209 sweet, thanks!
Same here 😞
And the reason why you can’t see your anjanath’s attacks is because in the monster/monstiepedia it is considered a RARITY 4
Why I can't find it?
It's mandatory for the Pukei to return to the nest?
What? Find what? If you follow the steps it says that you need to make the pukie Retreat. And go into the den by the nest in the back of The Forrest. So if your not making the Pukie retreat, and are just killing it and waiting for Anja to spawn, than its not going to work.
@@kilambrown4302 Yes, I succeeded in the end, I don't know why but on the first try I didn't find the egg, now I find 2 eggs, thank you ^^
Can you get a rare egg from the anjanath monster den?
yes. i have gotten gold so far. no rainbow yet
@@AngBata11 i got rainbow first try but no rainbow gene on it

Can you do this after the quest or do you need too have that certain quest?

@@AngBata11 Say less
Hey, had some concerns about weapons. GL and Hammer seem (bad) BUSTED with battle buddies since they have HtH mechanics... or am I missing something obvious?
Getting it to retreat at this state is a problem as you need to break his nose with a water element weapon which we have no access to in the demo so despite paintballing it before "slaying" it your still looking as a low or medium percentage for it to even retreat at the end of the battle
Does it have to be water? I’ve been utilizing a double kinship attack to break his nose and then following up w/ a paintball
@@rafaelsanchez1057 yes
I just broke it without a water weapon. A maxed Kulu Arrow in your arsenal should do it.
@@cheetahmoses7463 i just realized he meant it has to be water to get the bonus, not to break it
Anjanath never retreats
luck man. if you see in the video - my first anja fight it did retreat but the second fight - it died despite me putting a paintball. luck luck
Might as well try this now before Capcom patches the game. 😁
You've peaked my interest
That sneaky Pukei pronounciation though lmao.
Can you do this over and over by just waiting for 5ish minutes ? Or do I have to kill the pukei that’s near the area again and get the egg?
anji on demo alright let's go
What if you kill puki and it doesn't retreat after using the paintball? Cuz I've killed puki 2x now after using paintball and it doesn't retreat...
Just keep trying it's not allways guaranteed it took me 3 hours to get 1 ajananth egg
try to kill puke by destroying parts and also paintball. cut tail / break head etc
Are the chances of the paintball 100 percent? Cause my anjanath didn't run away :/ and then re-trying neither did the pukei. So I've waisted paintballs
While a cool tutorial I would wager that if you played trough the demo and start the game on release that you probably get an anjanath pretty early on so I don't know if these extra steps are really worth it
So...its HP doesn't appear any tips on when to paint ball the pink trex?
When it looks tired and out of breath
@@T-REX-KNIGHT Thank you!
Typically I paintball around turn 10-13 depending on rng, but once you retreat him once you’ll be able to see the hp
Where i can take the paint ball? I can't craft them
It's possible that since Anjanath can't attack in the demo, this might give us a peek at how rarer monsters will work, example being that anjanath is a higher rarity monstie than what our rider can even use, meaning high rarities may be rideable, but they can't attack, might be a new balancing thing, or the demo literally just has some broken bits lol
Not to mention he doesn;t have any data and resources into him because he wasn't apart of the specified 6 for the demo
here ia a tip to get sap plants because I got a lot by doing this, what ever herb you see pick it up just a soon as you see one go get it, I gotten them more consistently when I do this so you can try this is you want that is probably the best tip I got for ya since that is all I have been doing to get them.
some say blue menace quest den
Lol I’m getting eggs, but I’m also lowkey just farming Anjanath parts for weapons and armor in the full game.
Can't make pukei pukei retreat!! Wonder wat went wrong. Painball not working
I SEE IT IT IS WORLING
Can you get a rainbow egg from it? Or only gold?
no luck with rainbow egg yet - ran out of effin paintballs but i do have a couple of gold ones already
@@AngBata11 i found sap plants while i was farming for charms to level up my pot. Maybe you can farm them in the blue menace subquest den and make more paintballs
@@HomieWeald someone in the comments just said yes you can get a rainbow egg
Yup, hatched one from a rainbow egg
will this work if the Pukei doesn't retreat?
Pukei has to retreat. you have to get into a den get egg - get out - then go near the original nest - cat will talk and wait
how do you go back into the den? it disappears for me
Question, what if you killed the anjanath and it didn't retreated?
So this won't break the game if I do do this like when the full game comes out that monster won't be broken
Still waiting for angbata for melee build on mhr.....i prefer weird build ......soo make it weirder...
Mizuha Mage. Hazy Caster(insect Glaive with the Dual Powder kinsect) Mizuha 3 piece, Mizutsune 2 piece. Try to get a Hellfire talisman with good slots. Try to Get Rescusitate 3 and Hellfire 3(if your lucky Hellfire 4) Bring both small and large barrel bombs and throw them when you're in the Air(have your weapon away and you can drop bombs midair).
You're a Wizard Now. The rest of the build can be what you want but I recommend Poison up if you can fit it.
What i kinda have in mind build in mine is more like reverse role PlayStyle and build....... for example, my current test build .....HH Over 900 def and not only role as support.....but as Masta-baiter and zerg rush kinda playstyle while maintaining frequent buff......... trying to do that on lbg......kinda have mix result.....

im currently in 2022 and does this still work?
Does this trick work long after you have battled the anjanath or does one have to do it directly after?
if you battle the anjanath, you will be put in a ''demo is over'' screen, if you saved when the game asked you too, you cannot continue in this safefile, so you can't get the anjanath ( im guessing you mean the story anjanath in ratha's den)

Yeah auto save if your save file is at the end game you can use the auto save to do it
For me once I get the egg the den disappears
is ot possible to get it in the full game in the same moment thought ?
Does it have to be during that quest, or can it be done before the last fight
As long as you have fought Anajanath the first time you can do it whenever. Not to be confused with defeating the rage anjanath since you can't play past that point
Is that the tetsucabra GL?
yes
seems like they fixed it on the live game...not spawning anymore, but not in the same quest.....wrong lasted 10 mins, still working on the pc live!
