- Horses hit by a tornado but escape unharmed as large panels and pieces of outbuildings fly by them. This was one of a few tornadoes that touched down near Windthorst Texas on May 25th, 2024. After the tornado passed I was concerned that the fence or gate might be compromised allowing the horses to get out, however everything appeared to be secure.
OTHER INTERESTING THINGS to look for in this video is the third tiny vortex in the field when the two needles first touch down. Note the sudden explosiveness of the debris as the second needle tornado impacts the building. When the horses are caught inside the tornado, note the sudden explosiveness of the trees as they blast across the gravel road.

Reed can be so full of it sometimes it’s almost embarrassing to watch. On his video of the El Reno tornado he met up with some chasers after the event and was saying the tornado took part of his truck hood off, but earlier it showed it got taken off by a cable while being pulled out (or maybe he was backing it out) of a ditch or some debris! Lost all my credibility at that point, though he is a smart meteorologist.

When people don't see structural debris, they seem to think no one was harmed. They forget about all the animals in the tornado's path, including livestock and wildlife. So glad to see you were concerned about the horses. And your footage of some of those clouds was amazing!

again. Thank you for remaining calm and letting us hear the Tornado and the wind and rain and hail, and horses. Instead of some storm chasers who consistently cherish us with hysterical screaming.
Most storm chasers end up blocked by me because I can't stand how they bellow and scream and whoop and holler, or because they are adrenalin junkies, or because they can't have an unexpressed thought while filming and/or keep stating the obvious, or they drive like they have no concern for anyone's safety including their own, or they won't even bother to stop and check on people whose homes have been hit, or some or all of the above. Pecos Hank is one of the best chasers out there, and should be what all chasers emulate.
@@The_Fat_Controller. Amen. One in particular makes me crazy. If he's not screaming his ass off, he's behind the wheel, tearing down the road, looking at either his phone or the person with the camera. Compared to Hank, that guy has the (alleged) brain of a pre-schooler. Blocked him ages ago.

Corrugated iron can give nasty slice injuries. During a cyclone here years back someone was decapitated by flying iron.@@lantose

So many people are killed by lumber, rocks, bricks and flying shards of glass! Beautiful to watch out in the open pastures, but when the siren warnings sound in town it’s really freaky!
