Low quantity, low frequency, immensely high quality. And goes with the highs and lows of each natural season. And I have rewatched your whole catalog so many times without getting bored. This is what TH-cam should all be. Thanks Hank!
Can confirm, I occasionally come back to his videos whenever I feel bored, and just now I basically binge watched the majority of Hank's videos in 4 days flat. I also remember watching them when I was a tiny child a long time ago back when I was much younger, and not respecting the sheer amount of concentrated love and effort he downpours into his videos. To put it plainly, his works are _truly magnificent, and always nothing short of being something absolutely spectacular._
Hank could go an entire year without seeing a single tornado and I’d still be on the edge of my seat waiting for “Tornados of Year”. Amazing work as always.
My favorite thing about Hank's vids are we get this entire amazing experience. A lot of other chasers it's just a bunch of driving and then maybe the tornado. With Hank we get the wildlife, the local culture, the views and just the overall enjoyment of the trip. Watching Hank's vids over the last few years has led me to start taking my time when I'm on road trips, stopping at overlooks or places to get in a quick hike for some photos, or stopping in a local small town to try some food or pop in an antique shop to see what they have. It's a lot more fun when you turn it into a mini-adventure and I feel like every time Hank takes us chasing with him, we're going on an adventure that is about a lot more than just seeing a tornado.
I can't agree more-- Hank is a story teller; not a mere storm chaser. He knows how to take his footage and weave it into a compelling story, which takes talent and work.
You raised me one. . . Hank's use of his own music is another part of his craft-- it is almost like he can ask the storms to pick the best possible music
@@davidroyer5049 you're spot on about that! I also think his music, which is fantastic btw, matches his way of narration. It's not screaming at you, it's melodies blend with the beautiful images and his calm almost poetic description of storms. He's truly a renaissance man!
Everything you just said plus I see a lot of chasers where everything is pure drama. And its not just that they are seriously excited (totally get that and enjoy their joy and fascination) they feel they need to ham up one of natures most extraordinary forces. With Hank if hes dramatic its due to it being worthy of drama. He lets the natural drama unfold. And when he calls danger its genuine not to garner likes
Love the restraint you show in not over narrating, and letting the storm speak for itself. You also have a calm presence and allow the viewer to experience the storms through their own lens. Not to mention the timing and content of the music. Thank you! Be safe!
No one has ever done this better than you. From the storytelling to the caring about animals to the absolutely beautiful camerawork, you are the king of stormchasing. No contest. Thank you for making these.
Yup, some other stormchasers can't help but screech incoherently or yell/shout excitedly whenever they spot a tornado, making the video unwatchable, because of how grating their behavior is. Hank's videos are mesmerizing artwork by comparison, the music, the editing, the narration all combined into a thoughtfully refined masterpiece.
Not only are you an amazing storyteller but your videography skills are off the charts. I LOVE watching your tornado videos. You never have the obnoxious screaming, you help the wildlife, and you care about the people effected by the storm. You stay safe and keep hunting!
Hank, I want to tell you that I view your videos as art. I mean that sincerely. The way you edit these scenes, your narration and choices of music, the quality of the photography and your obvious passion reach me emotionally. I teared up just a bit at the foxes reacting to the red sprites, laughed at the mounted deer rump and was awestruck by the dusty tornado. That was mighty close, and that sound...damn! Anywho, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy watching your work. Thank you, kind sir.
Hey there Hank, I just wanted to thank you for your videos because they’ve really helped me over the last year or so. I ended up getting caught in the Winterset EF-4 on March 5 of last year (literally drove right through the outer edge of the funnel) and it left me with some trauma regarding thunderstorms. Your videos have really helped soothe my anxiety, since your calm narration and the way you frame even the most violent tornadoes as beautiful and awe-inspiring make it seem less scary somehow. Thanks for all your hard work, I wish you luck in this coming storm season.
My former sister in law’s house was destroyed by the Winterest tornado. Her, her husband, and her son (I believe he was about 4-6 months old) were driving home but thankfully they were not physically harmed. I can’t imagine the trauma of it all thou. I’m glad you were able to get out safely!

I love Hank’s videos because they allow me to see the American west, a place I love and miss tremendously. The colors, the vistas, the skies, the wide open expanses. It makes me remember things not contained in the videos, like the smells of the west or how the sun feels in west Texas or Montana. The west for me is like my high school sweetheart, she’s been gone from me for a long time but I always have a place in my heart for her. Thank you for everything you do Hank ✌️❤️
Hank, I swear to god - for the last few years, the parts of your videos that I have looked forward to the most are your captures of red sprites with that laid-back, lonely guitar plucking along perfectly in time with these amazing captures. The amount of time you must spend in editing getting the timing just right is revolting, but the effect is incredible. You've given an atmospheric phenomenon a leitmotif/theme song and I love it.
Just want to say - The musical transition at 14:55 was really incredibly done! Beautiful, beautiful footage as always! Your storm compilation videos are an annual treat. :) Thank you for what you do!

I don't know what I liked better about your video this time. The big dark brown burrito or the song at the end. You are a true artist seeing the beauty around us in all things
I found your channel during COVID while I was teaching a school pod, one of the boys loved tornados and your channel was the perfect tool, intense but not too much and very informative, plus he liked how you took care of animals in your path. I don't teach them anymore but I'm still watching, for all the reasons listed above! Thanks for years of great content
It's always a good day when Pecos Hank releases a video like this. I can't help but feel like I'm there with him in the passenger seat, accompanying him on his journeys across America :)
Every single one of your videos gives me chills. There is no ‘bad’ year of photography when it comes to this channel. Looking forward to the year ahead
Your camera work on these tornadoes is spectacular. I always come back to this channel to watch the beauty of these tornadoes. Congrats on a million subs!
You know, even if you weren't able to capture many beautiful and terrifying tornadoes, just your adventures sewed in with masterpiece editing and composition is more than enough for me to enjoy. At last- the height of the entire year has arrived. Thanks Hank, you never disappoint.
wow!!! Thank you so very much for publishing the weather events you were able to capture so we can all enjoy them. I've never seen those red "sprites" before~beautiful!! The different landscapes you are able to traverse while gathering photos is really breathtaking and amazing. What a beautiful planet and Country we live in.
Hank, your videos, music, and meteorological education are well worth the wait. It's always such a genuine pleasure to watch you on so many of your adventures.
The images that you capture are incredible!
What a year it has been for storm chasers! Hope 2023 has beautiful yet safe tornadoes!
It has already been pretty good year. There was an EF3 that hit central AL
@@The-Drone-Hobbyist there’s been over 200 tornados. I’ve kept track lol
@@RG6Gamin quite a bit I’d say
I don't know what I liked better about your video this time. The big dark brown burrito or the song at the end. You are a true artist seeing the beauty around us in all things
I found your channel during COVID while I was teaching a school pod, one of the boys loved tornados and your channel was the perfect tool, intense but not too much and very informative, plus he liked how you took care of animals in your path. I don't teach them anymore but I'm still watching, for all the reasons listed above! Thanks for years of great content
It's always a good day when Pecos Hank releases a video like this. I can't help but feel like I'm there with him in the passenger seat, accompanying him on his journeys across America :)
good
Every single one of your videos gives me chills. There is no ‘bad’ year of photography when it comes to this channel. Looking forward to the year ahead
Tornado: heading directly at Hank
Hank: tumbleweed! :D

Your camera work on these tornadoes is spectacular. I always come back to this channel to watch the beauty of these tornadoes. Congrats on a million subs!
El Reno Blues has to be my new favorite Hank tune. That little segment is magical
You know, even if you weren't able to capture many beautiful and terrifying tornadoes, just your adventures sewed in with masterpiece editing and composition is more than enough for me to enjoy. The well-timed lightning strikes with the musical score, the smooth timelapses of storm roll-ins and your narration are a perfect serenade of satisfaction. Thanks for always sticking out there with Mother Nature, you rock! \m/
Thank you Pecos for capturing the wonder of nature. You make a simple blade of grass feel charming and entertaining to watch. Appreciate all the work you put into everything you do! Cheers 🎉
this compilation is amazing. i wish you the best health and luck in storm chasing. these vids are absolutely stunning! keep taking time lapses of the night sky and sprites, literally the prettiest frames and shots i have ever seen in my life!!!
3K upvotes in 1+ hour! We do like our tornadoes and Hank is such a delight to watch in multiple ways. 🙂
It's always good to see Hank and Daniel Shaw chasing storms. been waiting for this video thanks for your amazing work Hank stay safe
The master of tornado videography does it again! Even if the season was below-average personally, the experiences you shared with us were gripping, thrilling, and terrifying (particularly May 23rd). Here's to a great 2023 storm season, for all of us!
Y'know it's gonna be a good day when Pecos Hank uploads, thank you for all your amazing storm chasing content, your videos never cease to amaze me
The way you manage to capture mother nature’s terrifying beauty is honestly a form of art. Here’s to another great year of storm chasing for you, Hank!
the fact you edited the red sprites so they fit the background music satisfied my inner OCD on a level I didn't know existed until now
Hank, you make hands down the best tornado content on TH-cam. Every video is phenomenal.
I see a Pecos video, I click instantly! Ten thousand views in under an hour - well deserved sir! I'm very happy to see you're still around and making videos.
Revisiting this channel after watching the movie Twisters. How mesmerizing tornadoes are!
"That's why I hate getting too close" as he gets closer every time. 😄 Thank you for always giving us incredible footage and views of weather most will never see in person. 🌪 Hopefully the coffee was good during your chases last year, happy trails!
Thank you for inspiring many people including me to go out and chase these big storms and monster tornados we all appreciate everything you do for the community.
Happy trails!
You are one of the nicest souls out there. Who knew a storm chaser could be a poet? I can close my eyes and listen to you describing a tornado and I can see what it looks like. Stay safe out there.
It's always a joy and privilege to see the culmination of a year's storms shot by your camera, Hank!
Crazy how you managed to capture red sprites. I really love all the times you record animals and critters, makes it wholesome.
what most impresses me is that you get ectremely close to those tornadoes, you literally capture amazing footage, you are literally one of my fav storm chasers heheh
Another year, another captivating compilation of what you were able to wrangle up in 2022. Your storytelling is like no other Hank, and I look forward to see what you document in the 2023 season. Incredible work as always, hope you're able to document some more burritos over the great plains! Stay safe out there 👌
Even with the lack of results for this year compared to all the last, you still uploaded the as if it was the same results with the same enthusiasm. People like this are what TH-cam needs, those who have the same amount of dedication for their videos no matter the results. Proud to have been watching and subscribed for many years :)
Oh .....Sweetheart....it doesn't matter how many you get....I ain't countin'....
Your photography and story telling is second to NONE!!!
I am SO HAPPY to see you here on the tube again...I was afraid you had quit!!!
BEAUTIFUL 2022
This man produces the highest quality storm chasing videos on TH-cam. I dare say, the highest quality of any videos on TH-cam! Keep doing what you are doing Hank!

*BONK*
_"Yeahh"_
been waiting for this all year
That was great Hank!! Love the tumbleweeds and a Dan Shaw cameo to add to the excitement of the storms. Thank you once again for a rain wrap up 2022 😁
Your footage of that dusty storm in Texas with the vortices wrapping up into the mesocyclone leading up to the larger twister was just like watching some of Dr. Leigh Orf's simulations play out IRL. Amazing stuff!
Glamorous Adagio is such a cool instrumental. It’s on my driving and fishing mixes. An absolute staple.
I hate the destruction that tornados bring,BUT I literally look forward to the season just to watch Hanks new offerings. One of the few people that I subscribe to on the inter webs.
You rule Hank !!!!
3:32 Love the transition here, the sound of the coffee machine blend surprisingly well with lightning 😂
I love your videos so much. As someone who has always had a fear of tornadoes, the info you provide and the insane images of these storms is super fascinating and helpful for me. 💕 I’ll always be tuning in to watch!
Haven't seen Pecos Hank stuff since 2021 (I think). Glad to be welcomed with amazing shots. Keep rocking, Pecos Hank!
Thank you for all you do. Never wouldve known about sprites, the science and majesty that is a tornado season.
To think you spend months travelling for all this amazing footage! Many blessings to you and all the animals we save 😊
It's always a good day when Hank uploads a new video. Many thanks for your laid back attitude to storm chasing and incredible videos pal.
Pecos Hank, I've watched close to 1k TH-cam videos over the last 2 or so years. You are in my top 5 presenters. When you fed the anoles, scoot various wayward animals across roadways, you had me. You are a nice. conscientious fellow who works alone. Thanks for the tornados, and caring for the critters.
Omg yes!!! You make me super happy! The 'Tornadoes Of 20__' series is so awesome to watch! Definitely gonna be watching this one over and over again! It's amazing how much work you put into these videos, especially the fact you can write music that perfectly fits the video! The transition at 15:00 was perfect! Wishing you a good storm season, hope all goes well😁
From the atmospherically boring south of England, thanks for showing us how dynamic our world truly is
finally, its here! ive been waiting for a while and today i was wondering when the 2022 season would be posted. your work is incredible, hank, and youre the one who inspires me to become a research meteorologist. im so excited to go on adventures and chase storms. i may be young, but i have a passion just like you. i seriously appreciate you.
Good chance we’ll run into each other under the meso. You’ve got the weather bug too.
@@PecosHank i pray we do...my future looks bright being a weather scientist
Man you have honestly cured my fear of tornadoes with your videography and story telling
Thank you so much for all of the effort that goes into your videos, Hank. You and your work are so, so appreciated. 💙
At the time 13:16 there is like 100 tumble weeds and also October 13 2022 an unknown rated tornado hit my town it damaged no homes but did ef 3 damage to trees
I come for the tornado videos, but I stay for your narration and soundtracks. Good stuff.
7:59 Cool...our favourite snake crossing-guard is back! Stay Twisted (in the most wholesome way, Hank!) in 2023! 🌪💨😎
Thanks for another tornado season, I fall asleep to your videos, they are so quiet, with beautiful music... I absolutely love summer storms, good luck for 2023
this is my first time on your channel and I am ENRAPTURED by your personality and humor Hank!
Congrats on a million Hank! It is more than deserved!
What I wouldn't give to see an hour long video of the immense beauty you capture hank! It's all just absolutely breathtaking! ❤
13:24 wow !!!! Also.... your compassion for animals is remarkable !!!
I haven’t seen many of your videos, but Hank, the quality you put into your videos and the storytelling is immaculate! Can’t wait for the 2023 season!
Excellent videography and storytelling as usual. Maybe in the "off season" you could do a video on the equipment you're currently using, how you outfit your car, what microphones, and which software you use for editing. A "behind the scenes" kind of video.
Best wholesome storm chaser out on TH-cam 😎
Been watching your channel since 2015 and these videos are always the ones i look forward too each year. Thanks for all your vast information on weather, your breath taking shots, and kick ass music over the years. Happy hunting in 2023! Keep killn it Pecos
I have had mad respect for you as a chaser for years! Your videos only just get better and better. Come by the Midwest sometime! I feel like severe storms have been increasing over the years out here.
I would love to see all your videos on a 3 hour loop lol.. I could really go to sleep listening to your videos. They aren't boring. Far from it. You're so calm. The music is great, love the thunder and the wind. Outstanding every time!! ❤
This is a classic! Love your productions Pecos Hank! Always look forward to them!
I love your work! Not just the chasing but the editing, music, narrating, producing, videography, photography! You always create a mini-epic adventure and take us along with you! My favorite parts are when you showcase snakes and help them, turtles and other wildlife across the roads. Cannot wait for your journeys in 2023!
Ive been watching you since i was like 13 years old and i am now 23, last storm season my boyfriend found your content and was so excited to show me only to find out i already knew about your magic! I love your storytelling so damn much, we wish you safe travels on the road this year!
Thanks for everything you do Hank! Even a below average year is spectacular in your videos. Here's to a more active 2023!
Amazing editing! 15:08 was a neat trick with the audio. Love your content
i'm glad you saw SOMETHING interesting here in mississippi
I love this update and you are a legend! Thanks for taking the time to upload these videos. Here in Cornwall, UK, I've only had one funnel cloud this past year. Keep up the great work.
