I remember my first selling on whatnot. Too much cyber bullying and stalking too for the Pokemon cards. So happy I stop.
I literally will only buy from 3 whatnot poke streamers and they are all local to my area and I know them personally. That’s the trust level I have with this app.

Whatnot is literally a small group of people it’s not a megacorp like Walmart and with the economic issues and what recently happened there who wants to do customer service for whatnot right now? They’re doing what they can imo,
Also wanted to add ice been on whatnot since applesauce was the big Pokémon stream to go into, I’ve Never been scammed or ripped off bc I know what I’m seeing is being sold. Buyers are partially at fault for buying in. Common sense isn’t so common nowadays. You see a mystery game floor is 1$, avg is “20$” ceiling claims 20,000$. A pull costs 50$. You’re a literally idiot if you play into that an i feel no pity for you if you do. Playing stupid games you win stupid prizes
Sorry for spam commenting but needed to add; if you heard about Blake and kept buying, if you heard about esh last year and continued to blow 30+k in his streams, if you’re buying from Pokémon wizard still, you deserve the Ls you’re being dished out. They can’t be successful if the idiots would stop buying. Simple solution to z simple problem. Buyers are just as much a part of the problem as the scammers. They can’t scam if you don’t buy 🤪🥲

I completely agree with starting a price for more so they don’t complain bc I had a issue with a seller who I made a purchase and then began complaining that the card only sold for a dollar then later on after the stream he cancelled my order and then just blocked me with no explanation
Not to mention that the person can pay double for what they can receive. Especially when it comes to mystery bags or wheel spins.
Maybe that is why people don't want to bid high.
I bought something from Whatnot once (I know I know.) It was a clothing item not a pokemon card. The seller was an actual company selling their own clothes so I thought it'd work out, and they were doing a speed auction round (selling a bunch of the same item in various sizes really quickly in a row) so I figured I could get it for cheaper than on their website and I did! But! They never shipped it. I got an email from whatnot saying my order shipped after a few days but actually they just created the shipping label, it never said it was brought to the post office on the tracking number. I waited until almost a month because I think after a month you may not get a refund - and I message whatnot support who did fully refund me. But I'm not sure about what happened, and I've seen other reviews on this seller even in the past few days saying their item never shipped - sprinkled among 5 star ratings from regulars and stuff. From what I understand you can't leave a review if you get a refund and/or it's possible for sellers to get low rating removed somehow (I've seen people on the subreddit say they review someone who, for example, scammed them, and then their review was removed.)
Honestly there are a few things about the seller like items selling for way higher than on the website/retail, or sometimes things are said to be sold out so the price goes really high but then it's in stock. The streams were pretty high energy, the people selling and the people in the chat seem nice. I just don't think I'd buy from them again on whatnot because I don't want to risk it.

Rattle- love your content. Don’t collect Pokémon, I collect sports cards but love you’re exposing scammers. Honestly speaking, I’ll bet this same sort of crap goes on on whatnot for sports cards as well. You’re only one person but wish you could eradicate that too! (Guarantee mystery packs n carnival games occur there too) I’d never buy a damn thing on whatnot btw! But, they don’t deserve a pass!
I was a seller up until I ran into the Blake stuff. I was pretty happy with the platform until that point. I feel like I really need to see a change before I continue selling. It’s sad too because I have many years doing online auction and really like doing live auctions. It’s so sad money runs and ruins everything.

Keep at it Rattle, the more we get the word out about these scammers and shady practices , the more people can enjoy this hobby! I’m all for making the hobby fund itself with some side selling, it’s a huge element of collecting. But if it’s just about making money, it takes away from the actual passion and love for Pokémon

whatnot seems to be having LOTS of problems. Like the referral program. I hear where new referrals are not paid the sign up bonus when told, then the people who refer them not getting their credits either. In my personal opinion its all a dam joke!!!!
