Seika's stated goal is to live a peaceful life, that doesn't square with how casually he murders people.

Ah, they ARE there. I just in know some versions of the app, you have to go to the settings in the individual episodes and change the audio language to English.

I'm not too familiar with onmyoujis did they specialize in curses? My only knowledge of onmyoujis come from shaman king
Mostly Astrology, Divination, and Exorcisms. I think their knowledge of curses comes from getting rid of them.

Onmyoji magic is an ancient practice so while not outside of their skill set, it’s not their specialty specifically to inflict curses to my knowledge. But then again, I dont dig too heavily into the history of their practice so can’t say with certainty.

Reason 1 It is made in Japan so they take the time to find the right voice actor for the role.
Reason 2 Voice acting is taking more seriously in Japan in a lot of Western countries they just mainly see it is for kids cartoons and video games and few animated adult comedy shows.
Reason 3 the studios that dub these shows very rarely want to spend the time and money to dub them properly and just want to meet a deadline.
Reason 4 They use the really good dub actors so much people have a bias against them because the studios that dub them rarely expand their pool of actors.
Reason 5 those bad subs usually get buried and very rarely get dubs in the first place
