Interesting, the portal looks like the red-haired girl’s REAL power, the spear is just her preferred approach to using it since she doesn’t have to risk her own safety that way. And she can spam the portals too… she’s honestly pretty dangerous.
honestly, if she just trained reaction time with the portals, she might've been able to win there
make it so all your enemy's attacks are sent through portals and hit them.
or use a portal on their foot to put them off balance, ect.

@@OrcinusDrake It doesn't need power to cut flesh and cloth, but to go through armor it needs some force put behind it. However it is possible to be strong enough to use a spear in one hand; it all comes down to training and strategy. If you are wielding a spear one-handed then a shield should probably be in your other hand.

@@Crescendobro That would make sense. I didn't see her using her other hand to control the portals but it is certainly a possibility. She could also be keeping her other hand free in order to strike out while she is pulling back her spear, or keeping the hand free to grab something through a portal. Potentially she could grab someone's arm, or neck and leave someone defenseless while she uses her spear.

@@john20red I mean on some level I'd say it was a love tap to a Hieral Menace too, even if they can't negate all that raw recoil due to physics. At least for a shield/armor type Hieral Menace, who are more tanky than the weapon variants are in general for obvious reasons.

Ironically, if you read the interaction the other way around (the spear lady as the protag) Chris feels like one of those cutesy battlethirsty antagonists, which is usually the second/third opponent encountered in the protag's story!

As someone who has no idea what the plot of this series is about, I'm glad to know that I wasn't wrong with my hunch that the protagonist doesn't act like a woman usually does in anime, but rather like the classic isekai male MC.
Yeah, the protag was actually male before being reincarnated.

For those who played Phantasy Star Online our girl is basically Phaleg.

This is so true these times, you can't just mind your own business, you have to pick a side (the RIGHT side), or you're evil.
She stumbled into the right path. She also lets her childhood friend make all their moral decisions. This show isn't exactly black and white in terms of morality though; they were both correct. Lady Seilyn IS a good person, but her superiors were up to no good. This was an episode where the end wasn't really satisfactory for either side.

Havent watched this anime, but the mcs attitude is too troupe. Really getting tired of the "not here for fixing things, just here for eating and having fun " bs. If you got so much power, make use of it, like Overlord or the Mushoku Tensei style

Actually no. The fact that she is now female means that she has less responsibility within her family and can run off to train without worrying about her duties. Which was entirely the point of her reincarnation in the first place.
Another overpowered main character that nothing can harm. Like Irregular At Magic High, this anime lost my interest by episode six. At least with Jobless Reincarnation and Make My Stats Average, we see character growth and events that can threaten, even hurt, the main characters.
Some stuff can harm her. She nearly died in a fight and would have if she didn't have knowledge she luckily got earlier.
Oh, look! Another anime where the MC is overpowered and can do everything 😒 Lord anime has fallen so low that this is all we have. Bland anime with op MCs that have some unique power and is on the wrong side before switching sides and so on.
Plus I can tell it's one of those no one knows how strong MC Jesus is because of plot bs.

Her powers are not unique though. She's just super strong.

Ah yes, I also heard about the times knights fought with dimension-warping spears, magic arrows which multiply or lightning gloves wich call forth exploding lions. Also so many historic records of flying islands or monsters with jewels all over them.

and that being said, contrary to most fantasy portrayals, a sword or spear is *better* for a woman to wield than a bow, since it takes significantly more strength to wield a bow than any other weapon due to draw-weight, and when fighting armored opponents, draw-weight is pretty important.
