Hey Cruisers, Cruise line stocks are way down this week. If you're considering buying, this could be an opportunity to get those 100 shares and qualify for things like onboard credits on some cruise lines. 💵 Here is my referral link to buy stocks with ETrade Morgan Stanley. This isn't an affliate link, just a personal referral link that we all have in our accounts. I'm not a financial expert, so please defer to the pros for advice. Etrade will give you a little something special when you fund your account and came as my referral. refer.etrade.net/79xbtc?advocate_partner_share_id=2f316b0a90
Thank you Sheri for the link. I was trying to find somewhere to look at buying stocks Back a few days ago but was having issues finding a website to get more information. So to have your link is great ❤❤
I just went to go into the link and it gave me a warning saying that it could be malicious ware. If course I know it's not ❤❤ but Just letting you know darls in case any one is worried. ❤
I think that “health and safety” has and is being used as a convenient excuse for cost cutting. Using QR codes instead of printed menus saves lots of money. Does it prevent illness? Probably not. During the worst of the pandemic, less than 1 in 10,000 infections were attributed to fomite (surface) transmission. And yes, I am a doctor.
One other item that is allowed to be brought onboard is distilled water for a CPAP machine. Most distilled water by the gallon is roughly $1.00 in most stores. If you order a gallon for your stateroom you will pay over $3.50. I have always ordered a gallon from the Carnival Fun Shops because who wants to lug a big bottle like that in carry on? Like anything else you pay for convenience.
exactly! we finally got 100 shares only to be told that if you don't v pay full price for your cruise then you can't use the stock credits. we save so much with casino rates that I sold our stock.
Thanks Sheri! We are about to embark on a 5 day on the Elation out of Jax for our 13th annual anniversary cruise. We have always used our cruise time as the one time of year that we disconnect from all technology so we will be asking for paper menus, etc.
You also check in for dinner with your phone before going to the dining room. You will be notified when your table is ready. Hate it! I also look forward to NO devices when I cruise.
After 3 RC cruises I couldn't wait to get back to Carnival. Until the cruise. So very bad that I came home and canceled 5 Carnival cruises that I had booked.
We just came back from one out of Long Beach, and we showed up early knowing we had a few hours to wait, but went up to just to check things out as the parking garage was full as compared to when we went this last January when it was empty. As we went up, they asked us for our passes and we explained our time wasn't until 2:30, and she said "oh, you can get on now, there's no need to wait!" The same happened on debarkation, our muster station hadn't been called, but it was 8:30am and couldn't wait in our room any longer so we went up. Well as soon as we stepped out of the elevator, someone shoved us in line and off the ship we went, no question on whether or not it was our turn. The ship was sailing with just over 3,000 which was a huge adjustment after we went in January with only 500 guests aboard!
It was so weird for me when I was 18+ but not over 21 and not able to drink on the US lines. I could drink at home but then step on the ship and nope.. ha ha. Not that it bothered me but always seemed so odd. Makes sense though. :-)
I'm always scared to bring up that I don't want the upsell before hand so I just say the same thing at the end. Or I tell them exactly what I'm looking for and that's all.
Thanks for the wonderful tips, I think another good tip is and you probably have mentioned it before? I’ll embarkation day if your hungry do they usually have food in the main dining room/lunch ? This would avoid the crowds that would probably be gathering at the buffet, my carnival cruise is coming up August 18 so woo hoo can’t wait
Going on the Splendor to Alaska. I've watched multiple packing videos and was advised to pack an empty tumbler or bottle since the mugs are too small. Is it necessary to bring a tumbler on the cruise?
It's not a requirement, but I've found it's a huge convenience. Carnival supplies small (maybe 10oz) plastic cups. A large tumbler holds 2-3 times as much and you don't worry about spills.
Congratulations to you on 100k!! The stock cruise credit only applies for standard cruise bookings discount, Casino and repeat cruise discounts are better.
We were on the carnival freedom in February. The chair hogs were out in force. The pool staff did absolutely nothing about them. Several squabbles broke out when people came back from their 2 hour absence to find their chairs occupied by people that removed their towels. The staff avoided these also. I consider carnival the Walmart of cruising, so I was not surprised how everyone acted.
I'm calling bullhonkey on the 40min pool chair policy. Am I expected to believe that the crew is eyeballing the hundreds of chairs by the pool and keeping track in their head of how long it has been? The only thing more frustrating than a ongoing problem like the chair hogs is a useless policy with 0% success in preventing them from doing that.
I agree, but maybe a passenger can alert an employee that they are watching the chair and then 1/2 an hour later, point out it is still empty (except for that book) That is what I would do.
@@mandywalker3393 I’ve seen places where the staff will write down the time on a little cardboard/plastic dry-erase thing and place it on the chair. 40 minutes later, if no one is there they’ll remove the items on the chair and take them to guest services for safe keeping
Interesting about the stock credit. I’ve had it for about 15 years + their is also Veterans Credit as well. YES…A minimum of 100 shares in Carnival Corporation which covers any of the cruise lines that are apart of the corporation. I assumed that most people knew about it but it appears from your video people may not know. Great video as usual. When I board the ship I investigate which dinning room is opened for lunch & that’s where I head. Like to not fight the crowds & having to look for a table so a nice sit down lunch is for me.
As always, great tips & at the same time, a relaxing way to bring it to us 😊… We did NCL this last March & are looking to book again with Carnival for the next one 😎🤟❤️
Now is the time to buy stock. It's down again. The industry recently had its 1Q reporting. If you are buying to make income short and long term, then you need professional advice. If you are buying to keep it and willing to roll with the ups and downs bc you support the industry, love a particular line, and get the OBC then buy it. Dont bet the farm on it. Just get enough to get the OBC. If investing $1,500 is problematic for you such as you cannot pay your household bills, provide food, etc then, buying stock is never a good idea. You need to get your finances in order first. Don't worry about missing out bc you can't enjoy it if you are not able to make ends meet and or in bankruptcy. Common sense, personal accountability and healthy priorities should be practiced in ever aspect of life.
I think 45 minutes is to long for someone to be gone from thier pool chair. I think it should be 15-20 minutes. Maximum 30. You shouldn't have time to go eat and come back. And if you have table eating you shouldn't be taking a up pool chair too.

Each guest can bring an unopened 12 pack of soda on embarkation day and also on port days. Helpful for us Coke fans out there.

COMPLETELY agree! I sure miss those menus.
I Agree
How many were prevented by wearing masks?
Great tips Sheri! You can also carry on a 12 pack of canned soda, water, juice, etc!

I just went on my first cruise this past week! We were on a carnival ship and had a great time. Thanks for all the tips!
Hi Sheri. I'm pretty sure that here in Australia that the onboard drinking age is 18 on all cruise lines ❤
note the CCL stock benefit doesn't work on a casino rate room. NCL does however.

Just came off a cruise out of Long Beach. Was allowed to bring water in my carryon. Unless it’s changed in the last 3 weeks.
Spot on you did an excellent. You've definitely have cruised carnival. Side note we can carry on 12 pack of soda in cans.
So glad we can bring 12 pack of cans. I do not drink Coke nor Pepsi products.
Hi Sheri
Is it mandatory to attend formal night?
Sorry, i don't like dressing up
Good Video starting with our favorite ship The Miracle.
We are going back on her in November.
After 3 RC cruises I couldn't wait to get back to Carnival. Until the cruise. So very bad that I came home and canceled 5 Carnival cruises that I had booked.

Haha, totally!
Hey Emma Cruises, surprised you're here, lol.
Same on NCL for OBC for shares.
I haven't cruised Carnival. However, these were great tips.
Hi me too just been many times in MSC cruise very nice , now on July I will try Royal Caribbean adventures of the seas.
As for the bringing water on the ship, how do we get water and formula on for babies? This will be his first cruise.
Cucina won’t be offering anything for a month. At least for evening dining.
I no longer use the spa because of the aggressive sales pitch.
I bought the week pass for the spa and it was so crowed that I never got to use it😔
It appears that the on board credit promo end next spring.
I'm always scared to bring up that I don't want the upsell before hand so I just say the same thing at the end. Or I tell them exactly what I'm looking for and that's all.

Can you bring a 4pack of wine? Each little bottle is equal to a glass of wine.
Excellent tips once again, thank you
My pleasure!
On "Serenade of the Seas"… cruising!
Just in time!! I’ll be on Panorama in a few weeks!
Me too….6-4/11
What if you arrive latered than your scheduled boarding time?
Thanks for Sharing ❤ 🥀 😎
So when we prebuy the water & soda can we take it out with us in our beach bags
You sure can.
@@CruiseTipsTV thank you 😊

You can carry on a 12pk of soda too

Great info, thanks for sharing!
You bet!
You said glass an plastic drinks not allowed but how about can sodas?
Yes! Soda cans are allowed, in your carry on luggage only.
what about canned sodas 👀👀👀👀

I consider carnival the Walmart of cruising, so I was not surprised how everyone acted.
Are we still able to bring canned sodas on board?
On Carnival, yes! In your carry on luggage.
What about 12-pack soda cans?
Yep, cans are fine!
Did she say there is a buffet fee?
Hi does carnival allow an empty yeti or hydro flask taken onboard?
They sure do! Empty water bottles are fine!
does carnival at any point verify vaccination cards?
No electronics at the dinner table !
Wow, the QR code thing will be like going to the local gastropub
How do they know a chair is saved par 40 min?… I think its a good thing just unenforceable it seems
Carnival Stock is trading at
True

@@robertgodwin6604 Yes--- please explain!
12 pack water is now $9.95 as of nov 2022
I was told that you can bring them now.
Does this mean the former allowance of a bottle of wine per passenger is no longer allowed?
Oops! Sorry you answered my question in the video. So sorry just paused to soon! Thank you for everything! I love you so much!
Debarkation is Carnival’s downfall.. should do deck by deck… well enforce it anyways

I'll going in, I just did a transfer to my etrade account. I'm hoping it stays around 13 or lower till my $ credits and I can buy.
Water on NCL 6PK is a ridiculous price

Its less than 9.50 a share lately..
I do not like the chair hoggers.
I believe the shareholder OBC is a one-time benefit.
I get obc from stock every cruise
You are so cute
