The muster drill that you described is the new e-muster drill. Prior to the pandemic, everyone had to line up at the lifeboats and be crammed in like sardines.

We just got off our very first Carnival cruise. We did the 5 day Bahamas from Miami on the Carnival Conquest. Although it is an older ship..our time was incredible. The accommodations were great and the food was incredible!. Cocktails were very very good and not watered down and the entertainment on the ship was sooo much fun! We met people from all over the states and other countries too. Booking our next Carnival Cruise as soon as we get back home. We have heard from other cruisers that Carnival Cruise lines is the funnest cruise line out there. Hope everyone gets to experience this at least once in their lifetime. 🎉🎉🎉
I consider myself a foodie. However, I have to say that the food on the Carnival Splendor was a lot better than Liberty of the Seas and there were a lot more free options. What I found most ironic is that the dishes that the kitchen screwed up on the Liberty of the Seas were also screwed up on the Celebrity Millennium. The MDR service on the Splendor was also superior to RC. A have taken seven cruises on seven lines ...
I was on the Carnival Celebration in 5/2023 I didn't experience that wait at Guy's, sorry to hear you had that experience. The restaurant food is great, the buffet was underwhelming.

I thought to myself the first time, "was there an extra syllable in there ?". Then the second time I was like, "OK it must just be one of those unconscious things she does." But as you mentioned, the rest of the video was very accurate and concise. It's exactly why I prefer Carnival because it's more laid back and I don't like being told when and where to eat. Also, Miami is the worst port that I've left from. Port Canaveral and Tampa are both much more organized and less hectic although it's really neat cruising back into Miami if you're awake early enough to see it.
I am Diamond on RCL and Platinum on CCL. Before the pandemic I liked RCL food better, as of now after the pandemic, I liked CCL food better. I guess , in the future things will change after the cruise line industries get hit by the inflation, they will either reduce the service or increase the cruise fare.
I was on Celebration November 12-19, my first time on Celebration but not my first time on Carnival. I definitely loved the ship and had an amazing cruise! We won Family Feud! I had an Aft Excel Suite which was beyond amazing! Celebration has the best WiFi of any Carnival ship I’ve cruised on! I really enjoyed your video! ❤
Embankment day yeah, it's busy, but after that it never those kind of waits....and I go EVERY year on a carnival cruise....never had those kind of waits.
Hour for Guy’s? That’s crazy. I never waited more than 15 minutes. I go on the Jubilee this March and it’s the same class as the celebration. So hopefully, I don’t wait that long for Guy’s because I gotta have my Guy’s burger and my rum punch as first meal.
That is too bad this was your first Carnival Cruise. Carnival is great for having a lot of things included. Not a big drinker nor do like to go to sailaway parties. The food is really good on Carnival. The food isn't so good on RCCL or on NCL. Like traditional dining. Wouldn't like to go on the Bolt. The SteakHouse on Carnival Ships are really good. Carnival Cruise Line is a really good cruise line. The other lines owned by the Carnival Corp are pretty good too.

About to go on my first ever cruise period in April of this year. I know Carnival Freedom is an older ship but I have nothing to compare it to so I’m sure it will be fine lol!!!

REALLY! WOW. As a gold member who had sailed extensively with Carnival and almost all other cruise lines I can tell you that Carnival is knows for its worst buffets even in the newer ships like the Celebration. However there are tons of options with good food on their newer ships and you will not be hungry. However Carnival is NOT KNOWN for its delicious food...LOLLLLLL
I sailed with Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas the first time two months ago and the desperate cost-cutting and nickel and diming was in my face throughout. The buffet is tiny with the most limited options. The menu in the MDR is scaled back. The food was mediocre to bad. On board entertainment particularly the aqua show was spot on. The ship was very innovative and bueatiful. However given the constant and desperate cost-cutting I will not be sailing Royal Caribbean again.
An hour wait for Guys is insane. I have never waited more than 5 min. What was the hold-up? Also, we sailed on The Allure of the Seas last Christmas, and the food on that ship was also terrible.

Also i sailed Navigator of the seas preCovid and i also agree the food was terrible in the complementary restaurants, felt like they were trying to Navigate towards specialty paid dining for better food and that turned me off for RC. Everything else was gr8 but having to pay more for better quality in food after paying more on the cruise was a no no for me. And the overpriced Perfect Day at Coco Cay, just no.
I cruised with both RCL and CCL before and after the pandemic. I saw that after the pandemic he quality of food was 20% less. And then the inflation kicked in the quality of food took another 10% dived. Oh well, that the way is it , the price of everything go up 30%-40% but the price of cruise fare is increase about 10% or less.
Your experience is very different from several of my carnival sailings....I have always used my boarding pass on my phone, since covid all their ships have eMuster drills, the wait line at Guy's can definitely be an hour long but only on embarkation day (the fascination of people for burgers is beyond me!) , etc. I would overall not rate the food on-board the Carnival so high, especially their buffet which is simply horrible across all ships. I also agree with your comment about the food on-board RCL is terrible. Carnival needs to get rid of dead weight leaders like Christine Duffy and John Heald. They are however trying to improve their brand image - revamped menus in collaboration with Emeril Lagase, bringing back the midnight buffet, improved quality of good (except the buffet that still continue to be bad), good pizza, etc.
Not all ships do the eMuster. NCL brought back the in person on the Epic in February and I thought that there would be mutiny on board. It took 90 minutes.
My wife and I definitely have no desire to cruise Carnival again. We felt nickeled and dimed. The food to us was mediocre, especially in the main dining room. Long story short, our five night cruise in an aft facing balcony room cost us the same amount of money as a Cheeky Corner Suite on Virgin Voyages. Carnival was not horrible. It was okay. But why would someone settle for ‘okay’ when for the same amount of money you can have ‘awesome’?

You don’t need to print your boarding pass, you can use your phone. Perhaps that was different five months ago? It’s a bit ridiculous that you decided not to do any advance planning for a new cruise line, which no one on earth would ever not do. So this entire review is kind of silly.
I was thinking the same thing! Cruising is an investment, and there's no way I'm not going to do my research PRIOR to making such a huge purchase!!! I'm still going to research the heck out of that purchase EVEN AFTER I've committed to it.

Our muster on Liberty was not that way. We watched the video and then went to our muster station and they scanned our app. It was super fast.

"I had issues finding my muster station" - that sounds like a REALLY good reason to have in-person muster instead of an electronic, virtual muster.

Try a smaller ship next time. I have never experienced wait times in lines on Carnival like you are describing. I usually go out of Norfolk, VA.

Never had to wait, been on 12 Carnival cruises. They're above amazing.
