An absolutely unreal photo spot! And to think I've been through Llandudno Junction and didn't even stop... I was so young and naive then. I seriously have to make it a point to visit during heather season some year. Is that a typical heather bloom, or was this year just outrageously good? This is one of those magic days when the subject and conditions couldn't be more perfect, and as a photographer you're just a kid in a candy store with glory in every direction. I had that once at Malin Head in Ireland. You can almost feel overwhelmed, like there's no way you're going to be able to capture it all. You did well though! As a sucker for shooting into the sun, my favorite has to be 23:33. The highway curving around the coast is the cherry on top. Adds an extra bit of mystery - where does it go and what beauty is around the bend? Great video. One of your best!
Hi Derek you will have to come back to Wales my friend and when you do let me know we’ll have a meet up, the heather has been particularly vibrant this year it’s the best I’ve ever seen it that said it’s always really nice. Late July to mid September is depending on weather the best time for heather it start to look a bit down b mid September and dies off for October. My video in two weeks sees me returning to this mountain range and I’m planning going back in October when the fern dies off to become golden bracken, I liked the composition with the road to I just wish my light trails had worked better I might try that one again in winter when it’s dark at a busy time
