perfect sound, unfortunatelly audi decides to stop using this amazing engine. New S8 and RS6 with this engine, they were be excellent and much faster due to loss of weight. I think the new 4.0V8 is perfect for S6 and S7. Models faster than them, need the 5.2V10, normally aspirated or as twin-turbo engine. Its a big mistake to think CO2 and pollution when you build an S or RS model.

Only the new R8 uses the 5.2 V10. A couple of years ago, except from R8, this engine was used in S6, S8 and RS6. So, I know very well what I m saying.

Habe jetzt auch in diversen Foren gelesen das grössere Räder wohl auch einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die Beschleunigung haben sollen. Dort wird aber meistens von 16/17 Zoll auf 19 Zoll Umrüstungen geschrieben, der S8 steht aber auf 22 Zöllern. Muss mir mal morgen ne fachliche Meinung dazuholen.
Ja, das ist aber auch eher die Ausnahme... also nur wenn man voll durchdrückt.
Der V10 säuft aber allgemein schon nicht wenig was wohl auch der Grund war warum es beim aktuellen S8 nur noch einen V8 Biturbo gibt.

Habe mich damit bis jetzt noch überhaupt nicht beschäftigt.
Die Vmax ist offen daher müsste er auch die 300er Marke schaffen aber die Reifen sind dafür nicht freigegeben von daher werde ich den Versuch auch nicht mehr machen.
Und wie bereits geschrieben könnte die langsamere Beschleunigung auch von wegen den 22 Zöllern sein.

Naja einer hier meinte schon, dass liegt daran das der Tacho bis 80 km/h in 5er Schritten geht und danach in 10er.
Wäre zumindest eine Erklärung oder der Motor hat einfach nicht mehr die volle Kompression aber das würde ich eher ab 250 km/h meinen denn da wird der plötzlich richtig träge.
Ich denke 300 km/h sind machbar aber selbst gestern um 2:30 Uhr in der Nacht kam mir der Verkehr auf der Autobahn vor wie am frühen Vormittag. :(

Es scheint auch so als ob das ESP nicht vollständig ausschalbar ist wie bei BMW.
Ist bei Mercedes aber ähnlich.

Ist halt auch noch die Frage in weit das alles auch stimmt was das Display da immer so "ausrechnet".
Komischerweise zeigt mir der C63 aktuell in der Stadt auch nur max. 16l an und das stimmt definitiv NICHT!

Fehlerspeicher wurde vor kurzem ausgelesen und es war nichts abgelegt.
Na ma schauen...
Mehr ging nicht mehr da hier wahrscheinlich die elektronische Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung eingriff.
Mein M3 E92 schaffte 282 km/h (siehe mein Video dazu).
Aktuell habe ich den C63 AMG und beim ersten Versuch kam ich auf 260 km/h... mehr lies der Autobahnverkehr damals nicht zu aber ich versuche es bald nochmal.

Ich denke mehr schafft die Benzinpumpe auch nicht zu fördern und die Einspritzdüsen müssen das auch erstmal bewältigen... das ist doch kein Zapfhahn der sich da plötzlich öffnet und alles reinlaufen lässt!

Habt ihr mal mit GPS nachgemessen, wie hoch die Abweichungen zum Tacho sind? gibt's ja etliche App's für Smartphones ;-)
ansonsten so grob seh ich hier immer ca. 6 Sek. 0-100km/h, angegeben ist er mit 5,1 Sek. also schon ne ganz schöne Abweichung, vorallem kannste bei Automatik ja nicht so viel falsch machen beim beschleunigen.
Und wieso läuft er bis 268km/h? sollte ja eigentlich bei 250 abgeriegelt sein.
Aber dennoch es geht nichts über den Klang eines V10 :-D

Berlin Tomek Kann es sein, dass wenn man schon bei etwa 6500U/min hochschaltet, das man dann etwas schneller ist? Bei 90Km/h deutlich zu sehen. Ab 6500 bremst die Tachonadel etwas ab.

Ja ich denke das liegt daran das das maximale Drehmoment da bereits überschritten ist.
Also die maximale Power des Motors. Dieses liegt immer nur in einem bestimmten Drehzahlbereich.
Stimmt dass da die Leistung ab schätz ich mal 6400 runter geht je höher desto weiter geht sie runter, allerdings hat sich da audi schon was gedacht , dass sie ihn auch bis 7000 drehen lassen im Sportmodus, weil der nächste Gang dann fast wieder bei voller Leistung startet..
Falsch... Es liegt daran dass Es ganz einfach Ein Quattro ist und kein heckantrieb der immer weiter schiebt... das ist aber immer Ein Nachteil von audi. Sieht man auch deutlich: bis 100 kmh Noch recht zügig.

This Audi is a heavy weight!
You can feel it when You reach 250 km/h.
After this the car accelerates very slow.
My ex BMW M3 E92 V8 did that much better... here is the video to see the difference :

I think this is not real. Audi S8 can not go 268 MPH. That is faster than a Bugatti Veyron.

du wirst lachen, aber bei meinem 6er GTI steht Tacho 255-260 Momentanverbrauch von 33,2l. Scheiß Turbo, deshalb wunderte mich das beim S8.
