This is so much more down to earth and realistic , a man building a car on his own, getting help when he can, week by week, unlike some American channels where bang 100g build done in one episode, we appreciate your time and effort Scotty, thanks for the entertainment.....
“Laid on like a mad woman shitting” needs to go into a Scotty Taylor Best Of supercut.
Love the videos and the builds....Question, can you boys do another shit box, low budget competition again, Scotty Vs Bubba find a car do some cheap mods and do some track challenges... that was an awesome series with loads of laughs....I know your busy with builds and events but please 🙏 if you can squeeze it in again for shits and giggles....
We do want to do that, but we've got to finish this first
What about as small budget car targeted at the optima street car challenge or alike?
@@STREETMACHINETV awesome 👌 of course.....
I was just thinking to myself this channel needs more Bubba.
Out of all the things I’ve done restoring my VY Ute, rolling out the car builders’ sound deadening was my fave thing - floors, doors, pillars and roof. Took me 2 days but the cabin is DEAD Quiet. A great product and loving this build 👌
What you need for the knee's Scotty is a set of knee/shin guards. As a young bloke I discovered that special, joyous feeling that comes with kneeling on a nut or bolt a few times. Not long after that I joined the army. One thing I noticed was that our mechanics were never without the same guards as us infantry. My boots and guards always came in handy after.
Stoked to see Bubba on camera again. He was quite restrained by the look. I bet he made a stressful time that bit more bearable. Plenty of laughs no doubt.
Evening knowing it was MotorEx ready, the level of workmanship that was on display on the weekend was just superb. Cant wait to wait you run 7's ❤❤
"It's going on nice & smooth, but I do like some ugga dugga action!"..... That's what she said!
"2 fingers, mint!".... That's what she said also!
Scotty, this ute is f^#king brilliant! You can tell that everything on there was expensive, but sheesh, look at the result of all your hard work. I'd love to see that ute run!
Bubba in the background making facial exprecions makes me happy
That second roller was amazing.
Great work Scotty! Awesome that the stock bonnet fits without having to have a bulge too!
I know you guys didn't do the paint, but gosh damned it looks good with a little bit of spit-and-polish, That purple just Pops
Like a dog with a bone! This is looking bloody fantastic mate. First run prediction, low 10. straight as an arrow. Second run, straight into the 8's.
You're right. I'll probably give it an easy run to shake it down first
SEMA build, Looks good Scotty!
That was cool seeing the ute and wagon at Moterex and bubba in the batman costume on the sunday morning. Looking in the Lexcen engine bay its tighter than a nuns nasty in there!!👍🍻😂
Something about the way the video started today 👌 fantastic episode.
How exciting is this! Almost there!
I've got to say Scotty, the cars looked awesome on display at MotorEx. I think it's time to change the name of the channel from Karnage to Niceage, you done some top notch work on those cars mate. Bloody shame i didn't get to see you. 👌
Love your work as always Scotty! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you for this build. I do actually really enjoy that this is a more serious build and very much appreciate that you are taking the proper time with it to get it done right, full credit to you mate. Gotta say that the Car Builders sound deadening is really, really good, I'm a massive fan of their stuff but specifically that stuff. I'm not sure if it's a part of the plan but will you also deaden the doors too? Keep up the great work mate, really do love what you do!
No plans to the doors just yet, but we'll see how it is when it's on the road
Was good to have chat with you at motorex mate. Don't worry about the haters on here you do what you want n what safe. Was good to see the car out motor x was super cool to all that hard work paid off
Any haters are just jealous losers. This channel is awesome, scotty is thorough in his explanations and bubba is the garnish on top.
@lancegraham7722 yeah scotty amazing guy. Gald I meet him at motorex. Such a humble guy n no he stuff about what he doing n said it amazing what he can do a budget
If your ever near a carpet or vinyl tool supplier you can get a metal roller that and a heat gun works really well when laying that sound deadener also lay those sheets out in the sun to get them nice and warm before you lay it scotty
Yeah definitely one of the more down to earth gigs
Love that car colour. Can't wait to hear it fire up
12:26 "Baaaarp baarp barp". We've all done it.
Great work as usual Scotty, Street Machine should give the ute to you as a Christmas bonus 😉
I wish!
Can't wait to see this running and driving. Great amount of effort put in Scotty top job!
Wow. This car looks incredible! Stunning!
All the chicks went nuts when you pulled out ya 2 fingers ✌🏼 Scotty
Looking great Scotty 👍 itching to see it bustling down the strip. Appearance by bubba is always good.
Have to admit, the (almost) finished product brought a smile even to this grizzled old Ford guy's face.
Bam! Well done Scotty - cannot wait to hear you fire up this ute
Looks awesome Scotty
Don’t forget the cup holders for drag/ drive events
Let's get it running first
Nice to see Bubba drop by to help you out.
Looking the part. 👌✨
Well done getting it this far. Must be a huge relief. It looks great!
Most of us are hanging to hear this thing fire up and then hit the dyno, it’s getting there
Looking good 👍
Nice work , Scotty. All them wiring videos will be worth it in the end. And if it all doesn’t work, now you can just blame Bubba 😂
Gettin' close now Scotty great work mate!!
Looks awesome mate 👌
Looks mint Scotty…well done👍
Looks great will be good to hear it run
Thank you Scotty beautiful UTE.
Saw it a MotorEx looking good 👍
Amazing scotty
It would be great at the end to have a tribute vid to all the companies that provided parts and services that made their car possible (like diff and tubs supplied by and fitted by scotty) or tuned by Zane etc
Would help some of us that are trying to find reputable suppliers etc
Cheers
You are nearly there mate and she's looking MINT.
Amazing work Scotty! The build is looking mint, can't to see it running!
With the bench seat console trim. There's a wrecker at Thornton called The Commodore Shop, they might be able to help. Just an idea 😊
Keep up the top work mate!
In my VP SS burnout car I built 13 years ago. I ran no console and used a trimmed glovebox on some custom mounts to replace the centre section
I seriously hope you're keeping the V6 badges 😄
VT Front brakes!!!!!!! Should be the first thing anyone does on a VR/VS Commodore! They are a bolt on upgrade with a VT Hub.
Hey Scotty - you need to sit in that seat again with your helmet on - Looks to me you might be too close to roll bar / roof. I reckon the seat is mounted to high ? - tell me I am wrong.
The ute is a bute!!!!!!!! Any t shirts with the ute on bro!!!!🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
I had the shifter in my car way higher and further back. Your harness will hold you back too.
Is there technically ENOUGH power? You could also add a Send It button on the Drag Challenge ute.😎
Excellent ute tho
Thumbnail suggests moving house! Exciting times, but no doubt the LAST thing you wish to be doing with these projects over your head lol
Haha, no moving. Just a bit of AI workshop clean up to give us a nicer image.
Great timing scotty just received my car builders vp ute insulation kit . Did you get the full interior kit they offer or just the floor insulation? I'm liking the purple more and more bit jealous to be honest . I'd polish up the maranello red paint on mine but i think it would just highlight all the small dents down the ute sides . Cant wait to see it run down the track are you planning on doing a private test day first or aming for a certain event to bring it out at? Calder park or Heathcote ?
Just the insulation. What does the full kit consist of?
@@STREETMACHINETV the floor pan and back wall and doors insulation stage 1 x3 , door plastic kit x2 ,and insu layer noise and heat insulator for under the headliner to stop tin caning .
@@STREETMACHINETV I forgot 2x under carpet stage 2 acoustic liner and install kit inc tape utility knife roller and stubby holder and bottle opener
She came up great Scotty what where u using as a waterless wash mate
Buy an old ink roller , cause they a heavy roller for press ink usage.
But get some dress makers shears they are razor sharp and a hugeeeeeeeee set of blades on the shears.
How was your back after rolling all that sound deadening Scotty? Harder job than it looks
Should throw a 2inch reverse cowl on 😂
Please no
Think the video editor didn't get the memo that you were skipping to the end of the sound deadener, and we got to see it anyway.
Hey Scotty, your thumbnail said " Ready for Mortor- Ex " then half way through, you said, it won't be ready for Motor-Ex ??
I said it won't be running at MotorEx, but I made it ready
Scotty please keep the colour
Dunno why you didn't just pull the engine to mount the new balancer Scotty ;-)
Is that a trick question¿
I think maybe drag it out for a few more months.
We're not dragging it out on purpose, building cars takes time
@@STREETMACHINETV building a non sponsorship car takes years.
I think personally you are taking the piss.
And less people are watching.
What's that polish stuff you're spraying on?
Meguiars waterless wash
I suspect you got bitten by the same company as me for your carpet Scotty (without naming any names). I ordered an under bonnet insulater for a VS that was stated as in stock and 3-5 days shipping and was instead multiple weeks.
When I questioned them I was told the items are actually made to order and will be ready when it's ready, none of this was mentioned on the listing for the item, however the company is a very well known automotive interior carpet and insulation company.
Then a mate of mine had the same issue a month later.
yep, I suspect the company is in new hands now
The music at the start sounds like Steve Morris racing engine’s channel
Yeah, I thought the same when the editor handed it to me to watch
Scotty would it have been any easier to fabricate a new power steering bracket, rather than change all those things?
If I had a mill, it would have been
Should of just put a astra p/s pump, save from changing everything else.
Still looks good Scotty.
I've been there and done that. There's a reason I'm not doing it again.
@@STREETMACHINETV That's fair enough then!
Keep up the awesome work.
How do you know Scotty? HOW DO YOU KNOW!?!?!?
When do we get to hear it run in the shed ??
Soon
Looks like Jollys Geelong has a VS ute with bench seat if still in need of a console
ahhh Geelong
@@STREETMACHINETV Just down the road from me if you're stuck
May need to re visit that seat hight with a helmet on. Your head looks might close with no helmet on
Who is we? You're by yourself mate.
The royal we... I like to be inclusive
Looks like the real deal (that it is)) 427
How she going too go against full weight leaf sprung 6 sec xw ???😂all the best
I'm not playing in that field
woohoo
Scotty's good looking younger brother doing the videos now?
Bring back another challenge video with bubba
morning scotty ,i have found some nos toyota lexcen parts .how do i contact you ,pretty cool parts ,toyota only ,not holden
look good on the wagon
What parts?
@@STREETMACHINETV headlight and bonnet protectors ,brand new in toyota boxes
with toyota emblems ,
Guess not
oh well in the bin they go
@mandyburke5127 Sorry, been busy. I didn't see the messages
👍👍👍
12 minutes in and can the seat go any lower, Scotty?
Not really, and to be honest, it's a good height
Finish super mang and the 4.2 stroke FFS
It's on the list
Why not go a astra power steering pump
They draw alot of current
I use a golf ball for laying this insulation.
yeah, that would work
Are you going to let Bubba test it?
Ummm, no
😊😊😊
Show pony
Haha, it won't be just for show.
Scotty mate why you never cleaned the calipers with a wire brush on a drill set up, that way they will look a treat, not paint them just clean them up, it make them look like new, that alloy look. 👌🦘✌👍
Wow, give me time. We're still building the important stuff.
@@STREETMACHINETV lol, i know just keep you on your toes mate. 👌✌🦘👍
Hey Scotty ute looks killer cant wait to see it Rip keep up the good work Mate💪
