Left his Dad's valuable classic car in a field... wow.. I would have cherished that car.
Hey, give him a break. The pedal car was in the humongous garage.
@@a2thak1981 absolute insanity 🤷♂️
@@a2thak1981 lol!
The son got the car for free from Daddy. So he's obviously not going to take any care of it. The son probably drag raced it and beat on it. He didn't even save the original engine block. He killed the value. I wouldn't buy it Dennis
gonna need his first and last name, for science....
They took better care of the documents than the car....lol
I’d laugh too, but it’s not funny in the least I still can’t comprehend the absolute stupidity of having a dry modern near empty building. And jus dumping a near holy grail mustang in a frggin field🤬🤬🤬🤬tha guys an absolute 🤡🤡🤡
Can't believe that guy left an S code sitting in his field for 15 years! Hope you guys can bring it back to life. 🤠
I don't want to come down on that guy too hard but you have a 67 S code and you put it in an open field for 15 years..................
Yeah life happens
I'm sure that he already feels bad but ....
Imagine if it was a Shelby😮
And you know how rare it is... My Dad would hold on to cars until people stopped asking if they were for sale, and they were pretty much useless, then he would figure maybe its time to get rid of it.
Especially a car that his Dad purchased new. 😕
@@JustRusting😅
Man. I would love to watch a video of the restoration of that mustang.
Im hoping they do a preservation on this one, the body is so clean and original compared to how the motor and interior faired
Or a live stream of the rebuilds/shop would be great
I agree
Yes!
Those wherls arex65/66 Mustang wheels. I guess you could still order them when it was new.
In 1960, my parents bought a 58 cadillac from a Doctor friend of theirs. I was 1 year old. In 1982 mom gave it to me. She knew I wanted it, and told me to take good care of it. Lifelong Southern California car, that has certainly been a big plus in keeping it in good condition. Its very much original including its original power train. The car means a whole lot to me. Not just because I have lifelong memories of it, but because my mom and dad both drove it for decades. And of course I've kept my promise, she in good shape and goin down the road.
“Thank you for being a good care taker of that car” yeah right, he just left it on the field 😅
Famous last words, “I was planning on restoring it”.
So true so many cars waste away and rust out fully because the owner is too proud to say they can’t afford to restore it! By the time they do sell it after 20+ years of sitting the car is so bad it needs all new panels and it’s going to lose most of the originality….. such a shame! Maybe if you really love these old cars make sure it goes to a good home and someone does Save it and restore most of the original parts….
Planning on restoring, bullcrap
To lazy
Very funny 😁
@@jayweiss4378 or just put it in the massive garage you have 🤷♂️
A suggestion from an outside observer. Do the Coffee Walk acquiring the vehicles like we are loving and fire up a 2nd YT channel going through the restorations of them. I'd love to see the details of what your guys go through in detail.
agreed!!!!!
They do regular updates on here, more content doesn’t always mean better content 🤫
I would enjoy it because the talents of the crew would be shown, beyond getting stuck by briars hauling cars out of weeds.
Yes indeed!
Ya they could be pumping out way more content but it’s cool the way it is you know they mean business and every video is a banger.
That little pedal Mustang is so gol darn cute ! Still not sure why you’d leave your dads fastback in a field.
"Thanks for being such a good caretaker of that car." I almost spat out my coffee when he said that. 😆
Stuff happens and life priorities change. At least he didn't let it rot into the ground.
What would he say. Just shows how polite Dennis is.
Me too, I was like.....What is Dennis talking about???
The guy has a BARN and he "PARKED" it right outside the BARN since 2008 A BARN that has a ROOF and a DOOR and is DRY inside
WTH man!! 🤨
@@Cartier_specialist He kinda did though.
In case you didn't notice, its in that process RIGHT NOW. @@Cartier_specialist
Its 19:30 in the UK, I have a vodka poured & watching coffee walk...life is great right now. 👍
What he said👆but it’s now 9:30am🤣🤣👍
@illsaveyes great work if you've got a vodka poured at 09:30...ive gotta up my game..🤣🤣👍👍
@@jasonhardingham6863 in my defence, I hadn’t been to sleep 🤣🤣
7:30 and you are having a vodka. I'd be drinking Gin.
you guys realize when you put a time in comments itll take you to that time in the actual video
This is one I'd love to see the full process of restoration on.
Lots of people mad at the guy for letting the car get in that condition, but the truth is that a couple things happen: one is that people don’t realize how quickly a car can get away from them. They’re thought of as something that’s pretty durable, but they need constant protection and upkeep. And the other one is that life moves fast and things can just get away from you.
My continued respect to Dennis for being the guy who can make these rescues and has the means to do so, and actually DOES it. And always does it with a smile, in contrast to the ever smarmy Shawn, who always seems like he’s trying hard to make somebody feel like he’s better than they are.
b/s this fool had a barn 100 yards away
lf he kept it pristine Dennis wouldn't own it today and we would be watching a Pinto repair !
DENNIS is a Class Character he always is Professional + Polite! Pebble beach to a farm yard he can Charm them all. Eats like a Hog ...looks like a hard wood log! Great shape.
THANKS for the memories!
Dennis has imo 1 of the best car shows on YT. Love the content! Like #132 thumbs up Dude!
Everyone knows a guy like him that’s done everything and knows everything
😄
@@ArtVandelayOfficial can i be your latex salesman?
@@ArtVandelayOfficial well that escalated quickly 🤣🤣🤣
He needs to stay in truck!
Never understood why people do this to old cars. Especially one that was bought new and meant something to his dad… if I ever had to leave something out like that long term I’d let it go before it sat for many years…. Pretty silly
Ludicrous 👍
Yea cuz ypu lived his life . No idea what he's been thru ... it's a car not a person
Especially cuz he drove it in high school I can't wrap my head around Dad ordering it new, son is/was a car guy to a certain degree who drove it in high school and leaves it in a field for 15 years.
Makes zero sense
@@rockkhound943 don’t take much to slam it in a garage
@gearhead6493 I hear ya man ... I'd never let something like that sit out to rot an be forgotten but we're not him . Maybe he didn't care , who knows . Maybe it pained him to much to look at it. It will be back on the road soon enough
Love that the restaurants have become as much of the show as the cars. Cool to shout out this small town place that looks awesome
Dennis your killing me I cant loose weight because I watch your show every week ! 😊
The Drug Store Grill was outstanding. The food there was a big surprise.
Sometimes the greatest food are from small cafes. My cousin ran a tiny cafe, he was a Navy cook, his food was beyond delicious. His Beef pies were awesome. Lots of Irish and Canadian foods. Not fried. Baked, broiled or boiled! Yummmm
@@reneprovencher8395 deep fried fo me plz👌
Shawn is a great guy guy for your show. He is a asset. Give him more credit.
The guy doesn’t do shit!! Fucks up more times than I can remember!! You must be a trumper
There’s no need to, cos we all know already. Sean’s shop is just around the corner from gasmonkey he gets about a bit on both shows👍
People who disrespect their fathers car are disrespectful period
That is what I'm telling myself. I inherited my dads 81 vette. It's nice but non running. I'm about to give it the love it deserves.
The son got the car for free from his dad. So why would anyone expect him to take care of it???? It wasn't the son's Money.
Wow the food looks delicous! Coffee Walk sticker approved for Drug Store Grill.
Dennis Rocks, Perfect Gentleman from the farm yard to the boardroom, and all places in between.
I dont know what goes thru ppl's minds, but when I was helping out an uncle, in Florida for a few months, there was a white 69 firebird behind a small business; just sitting in the field rusting away. I finally had the time to go check it out one day.., turned out to be an all original 69 Trans Am with 68k original miles. The owner had owned it since 71 but wouldnt sell it. Instead, he chose to hold on to it and let it rust away in the Florida weather. The interior was spotless perfectly mint - Im sure it was dry rotted but to the eye the interior was perfect.
Edit: this was back in the 80's: No, I dont remember its exact location, near Plant City just outside of Tampa somewhere - so please dont email me asking for its location, I dont remember
I enjoyed that episode for different reasons, it was a sad resting place for the car but it’s moving now. The restaurant was very cool, history good food and a small town feel. Sounds like my kinda place!
Small town restaurants like that are real gems, they want you to come back, they want your business, the give the best service and food unlike the huge chains who don't care if you come back or not.
Once again, thank you Dennis Collins for being an example of how a gentleman is supposed to interact with friends, family, business contacts and the general public.
Dennis who ever thought of witching that peddle car is a funny person. I think it is my favorite coffee walk video.
Absolutely awesome White FORD 4X4 Truck at the beginning of the video.
Small Tobacco Towns are nice to live in. Im from a small town in Eastern Kentucky. My Dad was a 5th Generation Tobacco farmer. We grew 50to60 acres of Tobacco every year. Plus put up everyones hay who we leased their Tobacco crops and our own Hay. Worked cattle and we had a 3 family garden every year. Spent many a day breaking beans and canning food with my grandmother. Best childhood ever. Before all the technology crap thats ruined this country. Wish my Children could have had the same. But we havent grown Tobacco since 2004. Dad got sick and passed away. My parents also ran a family care home for disabled veterans. Along with my Grandparent's too. Couple of my cousins ran care homes for State Patients (mental health).
I'm in eastern ky , grew up in Powell and moved to Montgomery Co, I've been all over the states and world and can't bring myself to leave kentucky. To pretty of a state especially living next to the red river gorge. Tobacco was the way of life for alot of my family. Now they to old to continue
I had a ‘67 Mustang GT in Acapulco blue. Mine was also a four-speed, but had the standard black interior. Awesome car!
I am shocked that car was not more rusted being in the field that long. Would love to watch videos on it being restored.
Virginia is a warm climate
great video as usual...that car was bought at a Ford dealership about 12 miles from me.
2:21 The color contrast between the car and the field is awesome!
Another mouth watering episode. The Food looked fabulous as will the Mustang
Its always good to see the smalltown eateries featured!! Thank you, Collins family, for doing these at the end of the episodes !
Hopefully you guys restore it as well looking forward to seeing what it looks like finished
Man, my dad restored the same car...34 years ago. I was a kid..it had a 390 and a 4spd, acupolco blue too. Wasn't long before I grew up some, then life happened and all of a sudden I went from 12 to 45.
I hear ya, brother. I don't know how it happened so quickly but boy does it suck.
It'd been awesome if that car got to stick around for ya, too.
A Ranger with no trunk floor. For hauling moonshine. Hard to call a pickup box a trunk but not as hard as hauling anything in a floorless trunk.
I think he’s sampled a little too much of tha product 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dennis, you are one of the coolest guy's on planet earth ! You help your employees, you respect everyone, your knowledgeable friendly and kind ! God Bless you your family and your employees/friends. They seem to respect you as well ! That says alot !!!
Guessing this man stores his cash outside!
By flushing it down tha outhouse stall 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL - I went to college in Farmville VA - Longwood University !!!! - Best school ever.
The first generation fastbacks are harder than ever to find in any condition for sale. The project level ones sell for more than they should but, they are original gen 1s. They have their problems because of how they were built. Saving as many of the originals as possible is great to see as the years pass. The costs to restore anything these days hurts those efforts. At least Dennis has the resources to keep chasing them and saving them as much as possible.
This one’s problems have nothing to do with how it was built, it’s down to the fact it’s been in a field in West Virginia for 15 fucking years. I still can’t comprehend the absolute stupidity of some people 🤷♂️
The whole Eleanor craze sucked all the 67 & 68 fastbacks from the farmers fields and barns years ago driving the price insane high for the remaining rusted hulks. I am a FORD and Mustang fan ONLY for over 50 years but NEVER like the Eleanor cars.
Is the Dynacorn body still available? Better place to start a lot of times.
It's in Brookneal Virginia bud @@illsaveyes
Back in 1962 i was 15 yrs old.My sister's boyfriend had a 1949 Dodge bomb that did 100 miles an hour. I lived through the ride!
Great rescue episode!
"TGICW" Thank God Its Coffeewalk
Outstanding Dennis the holy grail of poison ivy fastbacks❤😊
I love how you also promote a local restaurant when you are picking up cars. I'm sure the local businesses appreciate the exposure. Well done, sir!
You can see the City boy in Sean T come out lol. Having a hard time even walking on uneven terrain.😂
Dennis a great boss an class act. He loves researching from factory dealers an original owners an this one a project. Plus, it's back original, but we know Dennis crew gonna do it and do it right. Bottom to top an Dennis must spend hours on computers
Marvelous barn find without the barn! I hope we get to see the middle and end of this car's story at Collin Bros. Lastly, I have to go eat now! That DSG bar and grill is definitely a cut above the norm. Excellent show!!! 👍👍👍
My favorite part of the video Dennis quoting Beastie Boys about the fries and then having me wandering what ketchup and ranch taste like
Truly enjoyed the historical aspect of this episode. The Mustang wasn’t bad either
We just live up the road! Never been. Will go! We’re from Lynchburg!
I liked this only because they wenched the pedal car into the trailer!! 😂
Cars are OK, but the restaurant reviews are the best part. Thanks for sharing all the cool places.
I have to say, although the Mustang was a jewel to come across, the DSG made the biggest impression on me of any other places you've been on Coffee Walk. Those dishes looked "Outstanding"!!!!!
I had a 65 fastback mustang that was the only one built at 10:21 am that day. Super rare car.
Bwahahaha!!
Getting ready to eat the catfish special at Ma,s Place, and watch coffee walk, great day to be alive !
Same same with Mac and cheese and cornbread
Impressed how much y'all call codes and the love y'all put into the little red pedal car. I was looking at that just like y'all were. 😲.
Fascinating episode, the ultimate rescue of this 1 of 2 cars is what’s important, followed by its restoration. As always very entertaining, thanks all.
There's good caretakers of cars, and then there's this guy 😊
He did not buy the car new. This son has absolutely no money into this car. So he doesn't care about taking care of it
Bring along some WD-40, works wonders on rusty parts.
Can't wait to see this Mustang brought back to its original glory ! My wife and I love the show - we're actually traveling to VA from NC this weekend and we're going to stop in and check out the "Drug Store Cafe" as we're passing through Brookneal - we'll tell them Dennis, Sean, and Zach told us to stop in. All the best, and thanks for sharing your travels and auto/food adventures with us each week!
Love the old stuff plus plus see the finish product . thanks
Why wouldn't he pretreat the ivy before you got there?
Here in the UK the 60's Fords and MG's amongst others had a Styled wheel made under licence by Rubbery Owen and is commonly known as the (RO'Style ) Rostyle wheel.
Love the vid😂os guys!! Please don’t stop them. I love watching you guys resurrect these old cars. It makes my heart feel so good Dennis. You’re the man.
Acapulco blue. Outstanding.
7:18 he just looks into the camera and laughs at dennis. Hahaha
Thanks for filling in for Steve Magnante, and doing the junkyard crawl
Steve has been very ill he can't work he just started a GoFundMe
@@brandonpetchnick1182 Yes, I saw the video on his channel and put in a donation.
Steve who? I’ve nvr heared of him
Well good afternoon y’all, from Killeen TX
Here I am sitting at work at my lunch break. Watching Coffee Walk. Another awesome episode. Makes the day go a little faster. How about that Indy 500 race? Shawn
Get bk to🤬work 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Another OUTSTANDING show Dennis! Thank you!
I hope we see more of this car and it journey back to life!
Definitely want to see some follow up on that Mustang wow only two made like that definitely a rare car even though I’m not a Ford guy lol
Technically I’d say it’s a one of one on account it’s got the two tone interior and it’s sister car has black.Acapulco blue is definitely a outstanding colour but I prefer black on black, Matt not gloss
Soooo many people in these comments are surprised by how this car was kept like y'all are perfect humans. Get over it who cares . Its saved
So What.🤡🤡🤡
Absolutely Awesome Dennis!! Can't wait to see this one done !! Another rare Pony saved !!
Always loved the fog lights in the grill. Awesome find Dennis !
@DennisCollins what other wheels are you referring to that could have come on a 67 Gt that are not styled steel wheels ?
It’s possible you may be mistaken?
the countdown to live...could it be a series of images, jeeps and cars from today or the past
TH-cam has presets, but I'll ask Zach and see if we can make it something cool
Dennis you sir are a very patient and professional boss!! I know a great many people who would have definitely fired one of your employees. You sir are a very kind person.
Am so looking forward to seeing this rare piece of Mustang history in the future love the videos and how gracious Dennis is ❤
wow, thats the saddest thing when people dont give a crap about cars or there dads memory of what that car meant to his dad!!!he put it out there in 2008.the car had great value then as it is today but its rougher now.this dude just didnt give a sheit about it.
Im from South Africa, Middelburg. We have 3 bars here, DIE KANTOOR in Afrikaans and THE OFFICE in English and OPI PLAAS IN Afrikaans and On The Farm in English and then BY DIE HUIS in Afrikaans and At Home in English
I would have thought he could have at least mowed or trimmed around the car knowing that Dennis was coming?? But then again, when you consider the condition that he allowed the car to deteriorate to I'm not surprised!
Very rare GT and you got! And wow the food. Thanks Dennis and Shawn P!
OMG... Why leave it in a damn field, what did his daddy do to him. Jeez. lol.
It,s a 67 GT fastback, thats crazy what the hay fellas.
Its gonna be nice tho.
Beautiful car.
Someone please sponsor coffee walk with. Flashlights. Booster packs. Ones out of Missouri absolutely best an all these new super small portable air pumps. Then they wont be allowed to forgot it all lol
They would just forget to bring them anyway.
I Look forward to every Friday. Thanks DC!
Man my arteries are Harding up just watching you guys eat.💪🏻💪🏻
Grab your cuppa joe and let's go
Acapulco blue is OK but I prefer Acapulco gold
Another awesome video. Thank you very much.
It's pretty cool to find places like that that still exist. People are very quick to see the land value and dispose of something ancient instead of fixing it up.
why does someone allow his car to self destroy like that
LAZY......
Beautiful car . Wow . Great find Dennis . Congratulations
Wow...such a rare Mustang...I live in Australia and I am always jealous when you guys go to your fabulous restaurants...
I live 4 miles from here.Awsome to see
I could’ve gone the rest of my life without seeing that car had been in a field fo 15 years, and keeps a fkin tractor in his lock up🤷♂️Sean p wanted to rip him limb from limb I think🤫🤣🤣🤷♂️
