Originally from Wisconsin and never have seen cranes that close that’s crazy! Also I personally prefer these subtitles as they don’t take up as much of the shot. So don’t even worry about editing while traveling. Great video as usual!
So sorry we had rainy weather but when you're birding there are no guarantee on the weather. You showed just a partial of the Blue Herring nest in the tree's on your intro. So glad you did get tge red headed woodpecker (pretty common here) I live near the Crane Fest in the fall, so I see them yearly where I live just down the road. Otis was not a favorite of mine. I only wen't twice but not much birding. It was early in spring so I wasn't expecting much. I have noticed the fly catcher's and swallow's. Maybe next time come in May. I'm going to try get a shot of the Piping Plover at the sand dunes on Lake Michigan. Looking forward to the next one. I'll keep my eye out for more places for the next time you visit😁
We'd love to come back. We didn't have massive expectations with it being early in the year, but still did quite well. Otis was cool to experience the Cranes more out in the open with their calls. But we've kind of had hits and misses with Audobon places in general.
Ahhhh, Sandhill Crane, there was one back in the early 2010's in the UK. Never got to see it, I had only just gotten into birding but did not know anyone. I could have driven to see it, but I was so fresh I was too apprehensive and totally missed out. Oh to have another here! Loving the challenge. Keep up the great work both of you :) OMG Brown Thrasher sounds so much like a UK song trush.
Haven't seen a Song Thrush for years. Used to walk through a wood on the way to work when I lived there and sometimes heard one. Sandhill Crane over there... nice! So is that your biggest birding regret? Lol...
The woodpeckers are wonderful, but being that close to a Sandhill Crane is crazy (in a good way). The echo was really cool. I need to get out this weekend and see some spring birds!
You guys are so cute, I love your videos. ....'A bit of turkey drama'- you could be describing any workplace minus the inappropriate touching of course🤪
Hey man, this comment says a lot about you! I hope you will one day get to live a happier life. P.S. We've been back to The US twice since you made this comment and intend to return again soon! Take care of yourself :)
@@BritHikesOntario unfortunately I don't think that's gonna happen. I seem to be in the minority, but such is life. I will continue to complain and occasionally advocate for my position as I see fit. Enjoy our beautiful state while you can.
Always enjoy hiking with you both!
Wow!!! Sure take the friendly cranes for granted 😂
We would have tipped them generously, but you're not allowed to feed them 😉
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always 👍
Thanks for your on-going support, Miguel, we appreciate it!

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Something to think about.
A really great vid with awesome audio! Those cranes ❤
They're pretty cool. Only really see them at distance in Ontario.
We've seen some in Florida with their gangly chicks waddling around 😆
Nice finds. The close cranes are unbelievable! Awesome video of the crane flyby while calling. Awesome video as usual.
Thanks very much Mike, appreciate it 👍
Those sandhill cranes are amazing. And love the toe dip!
Haha thank you Carol 😊
Wow this was the Sandhill Crane jackpot 😊
Good footage!
Turkeys 🙄 show offs lol.
Haha thanks Casey. Sandhill Cranes... the Canada Goose of Michigan.
I've never seen a sandhill crane. One time a hawk tried to perch on the windshield of the car while driving slowly.
Cool experience!

Haha no comment on the workplace but thanks for the acknowledgement of my attempts at dry humour.
Absolutely loved seeing the Red-headed Woodpecker! Can't wait to see that bird someday! Great video as always!
Thanks bud. If you ever come east, Kensington Metropark was a great stop and I'm sure you'd see plenty of fun stuff.
@@BritHikesOntario Sweet I'll check it out!!
Red-headed Woodpecker is really a top shelf bird.
Haha, great phrase
Nice video
Thanks 👍
At around 5:33 you have the location incorrect. It's Milford Township. Good video. Been there many times
Thanks for watching, Steve. Looks like a very bad typo. Thanks for the heads up.
Turkey scrimmage anyone 😂
😂😆
Stay out were full
