Anyone else have an issue with Sirius not shutting off when taking a call like it does in my car that has all of this natively? That can't possibly be right, so I'm guessing there's a setting I haven't dialed in right.

Can you make that it auto-starts recording, as soon as the MMI is started? 4. Can you record to an external usb-disk? 5. Does it automatically start the Apple Carplay Menu or does it start that MMI menu where you can choose between Apple Carplay and Android Auto? (Assuming iPhone is near car and connected) 6. Lets say you play some music with Apple Carplay (Spotify), then you get an notification on your iPhone. Will that tune down the Music and play a notification sound? 7. Can I use google maps on Apple Carplay? 8. How long will we get updates? (E92) 9. How does iPhone Versions affect the MMI Apple Carplay. Imagine there is a new iOS update, will that also work automatically or do I have to wait for your MMI do also do an update. 10. How frequent are the updates for the MMI? 11. Do I still have to use the Old OEM Radio Unit for this. What If I have an newer aftermarket Radio? 12. How stable is the MMI Unit mounted inside the car? Does it withstand high G forces? 13. Do you ship in switzerland? 14. What are the benefits of your MMI box compared to the competition? 15. Can I install ALL iOS apps I like or am I bounded to specifc optimized apps that have Apple Carplay version. 16. Do you offer aftermarket screens? I would like to get one that has more brightness than the OEM one and/or also is OLED instead of LCD. 17. Can I use Netflix with Apple Carplay while driving?
Ok, let's get it straight: 1-4: No, there's no record option whatsoever 5: You have to press the "Menu" button to turn it on 6: Depends on if you have the notification sound on 7: Of course :) 8: Hard to tell exactly, but they are frequently released 9. IOS update does not influence CarPlay 10: See point 8 11: It works perfectly with OEM system and our retrofits - we cannot guarantee it working perfectly with other retrofits 12: It's mounted inside, so it should not damage even while driving swift in the corners 13: Of course :) 14: The quality of the product (we spent a lot of time to develop it), frequent updates, aftersales support team that is ready to help you with unexpected issues 15. Solved - I turned the OP Gain up to 5 and 6 and all things solved. You should note that as the "make internal mic work" feature in the settings vs OP GAIN: I have the MMI Prime wireless. Everyone I call says it is hard to hear me. When I switch to BMW BT (no it is not on as per BimmerTech) it sounds perfect. Please help. I want to use this.
This was incredibly helpful, and I have to say that you guys had the EASIEST install tutorial ever. I followed along with no issues, and it works very well now! I haven't had the lagginess in the interface that some people have talked about, so perhaps it's a firmware issue.
Interesting idea. Make the rear backup camera wireless and hirez, so no wiring harness madness thru the trunk and interior. Then add a GoPro Front Camera wireless interface.

If im on the mmi screen and i go into reverse, will my factory rear view camera kick on? Or do need to switch back to idrive for my factory camera to work?
For my 2016 6 series, in the installation it says to use the aux option in the idrive settings but there’s no physical aux connection. Am I missing something or is it just for the mmi to work
It will depend on your head unit if your vehicle has a physical aux connection or not, if you do not have one, you simply need to select the aux option from the Media/Radio menu from the iDrive.

How is the sound connected on a 2010 e92 with cic business? Via aux or the big connector at the headunit?
For CIC vehicles it is via the aux.
When is MMI #Megatron coming out?

Hey, the CarPlay module doesn't influence car functionalities. So yeah, the camera works perfectly fine :)

Having major issues all of the sudden. Screen keeps going on and off constantly as if someone is shutting off the screen and turning it back on.

I have a HUD in my car and I was wondering if I'm using Apple CarPlay if it will still show the track that is playing in the HUD.
Only with the original Apple CarPlay. Our the MMI retrofit does not display any info on the HUD.
