- When Michael Landon's character wasn't crying, playing his fiddle, or finding jobs to pay for medical operations for his kids, he was perfecting his surprise left roundhouse punch. Here is a compendium of Charles Ingalls' peaceful prairie warrior antics in action...
Slide whistle sound effect: Artie Weingartner
This is what i remember about this show. Coming home from practice, turning on the TV, and Mr. Ingalls was beating the everliving $h!t out of someone that messed with his wife or daughters...
Yes, Little House was an after school mainstay for years! Thanks for sharing your memory!
Ingalls 3:16 😂
Gotta give him credit he wasn't afraid to throw down
Lol
The sound effects had my DYING lmao. The bleep at 0:47 made it 10x funnier😂😂😂
Thanks for the kind words!
@@bryanpiggs313 of course! This video you made was gold! :)
Charles had a buffet of servings. Anyone who wanted it, got started off with a two piece at the very least. If you were really hungry, he had all sorts of combos that would fill you up until you passed out.
My wife and I are watching the series and this comment made us both crack up.🤣🤣🤣
He really do be fighting everybody
I never realized how violent Pa was.
@Solo female travel
Landon make a critical decision at some point in 1973 to expect us to believe Pa had access to hair dryer. It was a fateful decision for the legacy of the real Charles Ingalls. However, please don't despair, because the real Charles Ingalls' hand-crafted furniture still lives as his legacy, as accurately portrayed by Landon! ;)
Thank you so much for all of your comments! There has been a glitch on my comment approval process the last few weeks that results in approved comments disappearing. If you don't see something you posted earlier down below, feel free to repost it...the flaw should be fixed now.
The show was in dire need of something beyond family prayer, puppy dogs, and church scenes. 😂
Did you REALLY WATCH lhotp?! He was a REAL HOT 🔥 HEAD!! Ohh he's gonna get U!! ! You make Pa mad, you BETTER BE RUNNING 💨!! Cuz you gonna be ... S..O..R..R..Y..!!!!
Sometimes people have to defend themselves. Especially against bullies.
I used to watch this show when I was little, I went back and watched it with my mom last weekend I still love it.
Michael Landon was pretty badass
Okay, but this a literal text I sent to my mom last night while watching Little House, "Charles telling Laura not to fight Nellie as is he's not the most volatile man."
Michael Landon was just as much of a badass as he was a writer and director. Rip.
My favorite of those is the episode where he defended Caroline's honor. It was where the two men grabbed Caroline in town, and one touched her face. After becoming beyond infuriated they had "put their hands" on her, Charles runs from their house to the mens' house to "take care" of them. The one he is beating extra hard is the one that touched Caroline's face. Timestamp: 0:11 to 0:22.
Petition to put Charles Ingalls in Tekken 8!
Andy's dad and Almonzo had the scariest punches lol
The sounds are halarious
This was my favorite show. Growing up. This portrayed the time in history perfectly. That’s how it was
They forgot the scene when Charles tried to fight the two men hitting on Mary but he lost. Jonathan then went to find them in the bar and beat both of them on his own. One was a bouncer too. The owner of the town then hired Jonathan to be the bouncer for the bar.
Yes, I forgot that one and perhaps one more. I will make a part 2 one day, or add it into another video. Thanks for pointing it out!
Garvey was a machine. Remember when he kicked the barn door open and put down all those rabid dogs? Like the Terminator
They should have let Rosey Grier on the show too!
Yeah, I liked that scene. What city was that supposed to be.
@@ropongi1008 Mankato or Sleepy Eye
When Charles channels his inner Little Joe.
The fight with the railroad guy at the :25 mark was from the episode "The Odyssey" and is one of those well-choreographed fights! That last punch made MY face hurt!
I need this series back in my life. I'm desperate. Give me sanity
Wait, that's not everyone!? ;)
Well, I goofed and left out a very famous one from Winoka! You know the one, at Mary's Sweet 16 birthday party? TV Ingalls never quite understood that sucker punching one person of a duo was a good formula for Waterloo every time. Pa took another massive beating from the makeup department in this one. I will find a way to incorporate it into a future video. Thank you!
@@bryanpiggs313 Oh yes, I remember that one now! Yes, he showed up to Mary's birthday party black and blue. Good thing Mary couldn't see him! Lol.
It’s steaming on peacock
@@Laura_B__ Hahaha! Everyone's vision was blurry at that party due to tears, even Harriet's! Perhaps the biggest group cry fest in series history? The Minneapolis Symphony of the time had less skilled violinists than NBC's Pa Ingalls.
@Solo female travel Thank you so much! I can't recommend enough clicking this link and reading Christopher Czajka's hilarious reviews. The site is defunct, but: web.archive.org/web/20070618044723/www.tvdvdreviews.com/alpha.html#L
That has got to be the best title I've ever seen in all my born days 😂😂😂😂
Thanks, glad you liked it!
More like little hands on the prairie !
Loved watching Little House as a kid with my sister & family. Then to try (unsuccessfully) impress a neighbor girl, sisters friend & eventually my (close) friend. Then it became a guilty pleasure, now over the last to years a way to escape from Covid. This is hilarious !! And I always wondered if he was tempted to punch out all the Walnut Grove men who laughed @ him after the green hair incident ( All but reverend Alden that is.) That being said most of his whoop ass was well deserved !!
Thank you for your kind words!
@Solo female travel Thank you very much for listing all the ones I missed. There was a point when I was in 8th grade that I watched this show daily at 4pm, 6pm, and 7:05pm. On Wednesdays, I could continuing watching Landon at 8pm on Highway to Heaving. My parents were confused...
I could watch Michael Landon fight for days, on Bonanza...Little House... omgggg 🤣🤣
😂❤charles the man!👍🙏
I mean, even in the episodes with young Charles (Patrick Labyorteaux) he defends his honor! 😂
Young Charles was Mathew labyorteaux
@@EmmaKateSkateDonate right my mistake
Patrick was Andy
The title had me rolling! 🤣😂 Nice job on the video too! 🤣👌🏻
I'm glad it made you laugh! Thank you for commenting!
I've watched all the Episodes of Little House On The Prairie I really like when Michael Landon In Little House On The Prairie where he layed the Smackdown on those Bad guys in Little House on The Prairie and another Series was Highway To Heaven where Michael Layed The Smackdown those Bad guys again the Angel Jonathan Smith The Bad guys in the Bar where Michael Landon was the Terminator and The Bad Guys in Highway to Heaven were like Oh no I Can't Shoot him he's an Angel Run Lol
When Landon's storylines went wacko towards the end of Little House's run, David Rose was basically laying down the future Highway to Heaven theme song over various Little House amputations, near drownings, or miracle cures. The old dude in the dreaded "He Was Only Twelve" was basically the template for Jonathan Smith. Thanks for your comment!
He went Little Joe 😆
the one where he's fighting in a bar/gamble house, I thought. "Get him Little Joe" XD
I love this 😂❤
Thank you!
Pa Ingalls had them body shots down to a T
Yes!
@bryanpiggs313 you need to re-do this with the Let the Bodies Hit the Floor song😂😂😂😂. Your title though made me laugh SO HARD🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Wrathchild244 absolutely has to be done 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you I needed that!
My pleasure! Thank you for commenting!
Man, Charles "Pa" will never have an Argument until Now.

*Luke Skywalker meets Darth Ingalls*
Nice one! Thanks for commenting and watching.
You forgot when he slugged the guy when they were in that hotel during the bad times.
Thank you. Stay tuned for a part II...
I like how he fights back Jonathan knows how to fight back 👍👏👏🙌⚡❤️💯
His name is Charles. Jonathan was his character on Highway to Heaven
@@CashontheBarrel really are you sure 👈
@@jimramos2613 now I'm confused. Who's Jonathan?
@@CashontheBarrel no it's not that it's just I keep on reminding the name Jonathan from highway to heaven and every time I watch it reminds me like his name and I'm like is that Jonathan know that's a different name 👈
@@jimramos2613 oh okay. So you are just mentally ill. Understood.
The sound effects!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks!!
I didn't know that "Pa"was a "South Paw" (left handed), because he always threw his left haymaker, or maybe Michael Landon was left handed, but who knows 🤔.
Yes he was.
@susanb2015 So are you saying that Michael Landon was left handed? If so, that's interesting.
@@ropongi1008 Yes because I've seen him on the show writing with his left hand and I think on Bonanza too. A lot of actors are left handed.
@susanb2015 Thats interesting, who knew!
Silly charles 😂
Silly indeed 😂
Hehe, funny clips :)
Papa Ingalls did not play 😂😂
The incident with Almanzo was a real misunderstanding
Well at least he knows how to fight back 👊💪
They left out the scene when Charles punches Nathan Sherman, in the episode "Dark Sage".
They should’ve shown when Charles punched out the guy who wouldn’t let the black dr help his wife deliver his baby. It was a life and death situation, but greatfully they survived because his experience then Charles had to put him in his place.
You forgot when he punched the guy who shot the Indian in the blizzard/survival episode.
Thank you for pointing that out. I'll add that one to the one from Winoka (Mary's birthday) that I also forgot if I do another one.
@Solo female travel These comments are super helpful...thanks, guys!
Mr. Piggs, the LHOTP edits are stellar to say the least. Please keep them coming!
Thank you, Dan! I appreciate the kind words...more to come in 2023. Any requests?
@@bryanpiggs313 Yes! Please do a montage where Pa gets HIS a$$ kicked! I seem to recall it happened a lot. And if you could find and post the scene where Garvey carries Pa in his arms and says something about getting him a bath, that would be even more incredible! I don't remember what episode it was, but I think it was the final scene and they were out of town for work.
There was also another one at their Highschool reunion when Charlies punched a man who kept flirting with Caroline
Thank you! It was hard to find them all. I'll make a note of that episode in case I do a sequel.
Those southpaws are dangerous.
The show makes it seem like it was much easier to get away with assault in those days, anyway, where was the local Sherif in that series.
Charles was the sheriff...basically
@rodneydangerman9616 Yeah, I guess, but they could of did a better job with writing plot points and cetain dynamic structures about this fictional town.
@susanb2015 That doesn't surprise me, what episode was that?
@@susanb2015 That sounds like an interesting plot, but it doesn't seem realistic not to have local law enforcement in that town to keep the peace.
@susanb2015 They could of thought of some way to tie in some type of connection with some kind of local law enforcement to give this fictional town a little more credibility and make it a little more believable, I think it's more like lazy writing.
It's too bad there wasn't a crossover episode with "Kwai Chang Caine" from the "Kung Fu" tv series played by David Carradine. Caine could have passed through Walnut Grove and helped "Pa" with his hot tempor with lessons on Taoism. Caine could have also exchanged religious and spiritual ideas with the town's Christian Pastor as Caine was a Buddhist Monk. It would have a fun little exchange if Pa would have taken a swing at Cain, and Cain would have used some kind of evasive Kung Fu move to neutralize Pa's aggression.
I also wonder how often did Michael Landon actually do the fight scenes, or was a stunt double ever used. I suspect that the actors that "Pa" "punhed out" on screen were probably also stunt actors as well, but how often did Michael Landon do his own stunts.
0:45 sec mark
If I was almonzo I would have been pissed at Charles for those punches misunderstanding moment I wouldn't have been so nice about it but than again I understand how Charles felt not knowing anything about almonzo thinking he is trying to move on his daughter which was alot younger than almonzo he is a concerned father almonzo knew that he was just looking out for Laura but still would have been upset for those punches even though it was misunderstanding
The thing is, you only showed abour 1/2 the fights he was in 😂
Iv never seen him so angry like that he was gonna kill him
Yes, that clip was from "He Was Only 12". The music makes it worse. Luckily, most of his roundhouses simply resulted in light concussions for the recipients.
Charles Ingalls: Will Smith
Sam Galender: Chris Rock
Nice one.
@@bryanpiggs313Charles didn’t like it when another guy was messing with Caroline, just like Will Smith didn’t like it when Chris Rock was making jokes about Jada
😂😂😂😂
There goes family values.
Haha!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
You know sometimes Charles has always been having too many altercations with people, and sometimes his fights go to far. Charles is just a man having a problem with the world and he doesn’t like getting close to other people but him beating up bad people I don’t have a problem with but there were times where he went too far
But most of those guys deserve a big punch, especially if they are ignorant thugs or racist bigots with small minds and big mouths. And some of it like with Almanzo turned out to be a big misunderstanding.
Who was the man with the gun what episode
If you're referring to the penultimate scene where Chuck went ballistic, it was "He Was Only Twelve".
What episode is that fight in the bar? He seemed very very pissed off.
Gary, that's from the two-parter "He Was Only Twelve".
@@bryanpiggs313 what season?
This is good, but I'm pretty sure there were a couple of other times Pa punched people.
Thanks. I missed one from Winoka for sure, but surprisingly there aren't as many Pa punches as everyone remembers, as I went through the entire series.
@@bryanpiggs313 Maybe that one in Winoka is what I'm thinking of. Or maybe it's just all the times that he got into a fight with Jonathan or Mr. Edwards, or the times he was in a boxing match. His fists got a good workout. :)
@@Laura_B__ I almost included the boxing match, but it has aged poorly. I appreciate the tips on ones that I overlooked...coming in 2023 "Pa Ingalls Punches Out Everyone Else in Walnut Grove"? ;)
@Solo female travel Thanks again. I'm working on a Zaldamo clip. Can you remember how many times someone called Manwich "Zaldamo" on the show? I've only found two, but my memory tells me there were more...
@@bryanpiggs313 I look forward to that!
0:14 cómo se llama ese capítulo?🙏🏻
Paula, this clip is from Season 3, episode 9, "The Bully Boys". Thanks for watching!
@@bryanpiggs313 Gracias 🙂
Too bad he never Ike turnered Mrs Olson
God fearing Christian, I say
Hey even Jesus turned the tables and whipped the people out of the temple. Caroline was assaulted by two men so Charles went to beat them for touching his wife. So most of these fights were justified. And Charles's son James was shot and almost killed by the men Charles was fighting with in the bar scene.
My mom always say.. sometimes you gotta flip a table just to let them know what the deal is.
