I have loved Michael and his work since Bonanza’s first episode. But this episode on LHOTP “He Was Only Twelve” is written on my heart!!! Have seen it many, many times and still cry my eyes out every time. I’m 74 yrs old, and pray that one day I will meet Michael in the presence of God 🙏🏻👼🏻😭💖🧎🏻♂️✝️
I watch it every day since it came out. I know all episodes by heart. I call on that show a lot when dealing with my own life.no show has taught, helped or comforted me more than lhotp. Michael Landon will never be gone.
@@helanesolomon1724 I think michael Landon saves everyones life, if you really listen! But we are all responsible for our own lives. I've learned to embrace who I am and use the gifts god gave me to serve others.
I believe based on the fruit from his directing, acting and writing, he was a believer in the Lord. Notwithstanding the differences in faith of his parents, one a Jew and the other a Catholic. Like someone's post above, I could literally cite dialogues in these shows whether they are from Bonanza, LHOP or Highway to Heaven. I believe that he will be in heaven along with Abraham, Moses, the prophets and all believers in Jesus for eternity. I certainly can't see him denying Jesus before men or even in heaven at the time of judgement and why would I, he never did while on this earth.....

BTW, the scene posted here is probably one of the most Impactful scenes I've ever watched and I've seen the episode over 10 times if not more. This is so inspiring, I so appreciate the positive things Michael chooses to write and act, this in particular resonates with me as a Christian and just as a human being, knowing there is hope, someone bigger than ourselves is watching over us, have faith in God. Love you Michael your faith paid off on screen and in his personal life, good example of faith in action..🙏🏻👋🙏🏻
Thanks ever so much Helane for the Upload. I was not of the generation of that normally would know of Michael (born 1990) but due to great parents I was brought up with his shows. In recent years I showed my mum how he reacted to the news of his cancer. To then lose my mum last year from stage 4 cancer (which she probably only knew she had mere months before) by word and deed and behaviour she emulated Michaels last months, so I almost wonder she was thinking of him. But thanks again while physically michael may not live he lives in the hearts of many still, which sad for them but not many can 'actors' from 30+ years ago are revered still.
My condolences to you. I only hope that I can emulate Michael when my time comes. He was a role model in life and death. He will be "living" on forever.
Me neither. I was at work when I learned about it and I went into the ladies room and cried for 20 minutes at least. It was a day I'll never forget. Sad.

Yes, this show and Highway to Heaven got me through 3 months of COVID! Michael Landon saved my life!
