    i'm guessing saturday night got the 2nd part taken down.
    andy was like the boy who cried wolf, everything he did was a prank and when the seriousness of his cancer and death became news, nobody believed it, everyone thought it was just another prank. an enigma indeed, he was surprised no one knew he was joking most of his career and then he was dying everyone thought he was joking.

    If a person pretends to have died, and plans to reappear sometime later, he won't wait as long until most people that knew him will have died. Andy Kaufman R.I.P.

    As a teenager when Andy became known, I enjoyed his character Latka from Taxi,
    But I did not enjoy his other offerings. The wrestling episode was just bizarre and maybe he was a genius but I didn’t enjoy it. Andy was an acquired taste. I also believe he faked his own death as well.

    I knew Andy for over 3 years- so- I enjoyed seeing this- yet noted the missing aspects that seem to have been ommited from every documentery I have ever viewed on his behalf.... perhaps as his friend/wrestling buddy/lover I was privy to those aspects.
    Andy was a great guy.... I consider myself fortunate to have known him.

  • @tapolna
    @tapolna 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If Andy truly was devoted to meditation and meditated everyday, it would make little difference to him what the the institute of the transcendental meditation movement did, even if it introduced him to meditation. Either that or Andy didn't gain too much from meditating

    • @savzshotzpro3293
      @savzshotzpro3293 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or maybe it was because it was the community that he joined to get him into it, it was the community that essentially saved his life and made his career that turned their back on him. Just because you've meditated doesn't mean you're not a clueless idiot making assumptions based on nothing but stated like they're facts.
      If you were truly into meditation then it wouldn't bother you what Andy said or did because you'd be at peace with yourself and wouldn't have to project your insecurities. Sit down and show some respect.

    • @EmilyGloeggler7984
      @EmilyGloeggler7984 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@savzshotzpro3293The reality is that meditation is a form of self delusion and it is Satanic. It has even caused people to look themselves, even though it’s promoters constantly downplay and blatantly lie about that because it’s their placebo to make themselves feel better.

    To call the TM Movement a "loving organization" is hilarious. The TM Movement is more like Dana Carvey's Church Lady character on SNL: judgmental, controlling condemning, dismissive. By the way, the course Andy was trying to go to was called "Governor Training" where the TM Sidhis were taught. They viewed Andy as "undignified".

    He wasn’t a smoker yet he died of lung cancer at age 35. But he had a bedroom as a child in the basement of his house. Radon is a gas that can give you cancer and it’s a problem with houses that have basements, as the radon can seep into the living space from the ground.

    • @Mike1614b
      @Mike1614b 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, it was likely radon. exposure to radon gas in the home, especially in the basement, is the #1 cause of lung cancer for non-smokers

    It doesn't make sense that he would be bald from cancer if he wasn't having chemotherapy and radiation.

    • @dunlap4info
      @dunlap4info 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even if he was having chemo and radiation, why was he so hairy? If you lose hair from chemo, you lose hair everywhere. If you have radiation, hair only falls out where radiation is given. However, he had lung cancer, yet he had chest hair? It did however go to his brain, but still, shouldn't both his chest and head been bald? I heard he was bald from radiation for the cancer spreading to the brain. But, still, if he was having radiation on his head, would his lungs still be treated as well?

      I disagree. I believe he was ahead of his time. Look at comedy now! Usually an awkward confrontation gets the laugh, people play alternate personalities, and people like Tim and Eric and Eric Andre are keeping his brand of comedy alive and expanding on it. If Andy Kaufman came out in 2017, he would be just fine.

    • @savzshotzpro3293

      yeh that's a backwards analogy bornof ignorance. His brand of humour is now more popular than ever with 'prank' stars being born from social media.Controversy will always sell, no matter which way it manifests, whether that's justin bieber trying to act like a badman or miley cyrus getting her tiny overviewed tits out every 5 minutes, sex tapes, exposes etc

      Even though I don’t like this website, Buzzfeed did an article in which they explain how Andy helped influence half of today’s comedy. I agree on this statement because you just have to see Adult Swim’s original programming to see his influence and I would even go further by saying that Andy helped create two new genres of comedy called Anti-Humor and Cringe Humor.
