I gotta say, your channel is one of my fav’s. I come home from the stress and turn on the you tube, open MC Rewind and watch you taking apart a carburetor and somehow I just don’t give a crap about the bullshit anymore 😂 I find it calming. Really appreciate what you do. Sure beats seeing a therapist 😁
Glad you enjoy the channel. I really appreciate you watching. I am having loads of fun documenting working in these old motorcycles. Thanks again for watching.
Fun fun fun! Really enjoy watching the progress of this project. I was surprised to see how clean that carb was inside. Also, nice to see Mr. doggy making an appearance.. they don't get any better than a black lab.
I wish I knew what you thought I did!!! 😂 All of the answers are in the service manual. My super power is I am not afraid of breaking it. Let's be honest, I could not make this one worse was. Everything I do is an improvement. Thanks for watching
there's nothing like taking junk and bringing it back to life. did quite a few ,doing a 1964 velocette piaggio scooter that looks like its been sitting under the barn for 40 years. also restoring a 70 cb 350 super sport that was in a damp basement for 25 years , both are for customers .
Great build and video. Get you a tea ball for your ultrasonic. Put the screws in it when you do the carb body. Hit them with the wire wheel afterwards. Try not to put rusty screws back on.
now that you've had it all apart, what do you think the reason for it being in a scrap yard was? fascinating watching by the way, nice to see something different
I haven't found a smoking gun. The CVT was removed that could have been harvested at the salvage yard. If I had to guess I would say someone stopped riding it an it sat in a garage/barn for years. Until someone sold it to the salvage yard. Thanks for watching!
Second most important tool is a set of JIS screwdrivers. These are not Phillips screwdrivers and will not strip out the soft metal screws used on Japanese bikes.
You sure lucked out on that carburetor. Everyone I’ve ever opened was varnished.😂 pass. Some of that luck around. I just saw a woman the other day riding one of those scooters. Rattle can white, and so was her non-dot approved helmet
The plan is to get it running and ride the wheels off it. Wait on the intake to come in. Getting close to putting engine back in and fingers crossed. Having it fire up.
owner manual not help you anythink, but buy repair manual haynes etc book, help you lot all bolt and screw torque, timind, how parts have in gearbox etc.
normal repair men clean ewery parts before install all back together, carburetto not has clean any, not good work. need be clean and shine outside too.
Cant wait for the next part 😊
Me too!

Cheap parts always a bonus 🎉
Yes sir. I love cheap parts. Thanks for watching.
Great video, it is amazing how these old bikes can take so much neglect and still live. Keep it going.
Like the old Timex ad. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Thanks for watching.
You need some JIS screwdrivers....would make life easy when working on the Japanese bikes.
Agreed on the JIS screwdrivers. I can't work without mine. Thanks for watching.
I was going to say, he has a set of JIS screw drivers
I realized after I posted the message.
Way are you calling brake shoes "pads " drum brakes have brake shoes.
According to my wife it’s because, I don’t think before I speak and the wrong words come out. 😂🤷♂️ thanks for watching.

I will be soda Blasting it to get it a bit cleaner. Thanks for watching.
Fun fun fun! Really enjoy watching the progress of this project. I was surprised to see how clean that carb was inside. Also, nice to see Mr. doggy making an appearance.. they don't get any better than a black lab.
The I was shocked by the state of the carb. Cappy our 12 year old Lab making a guest appearance. Loving this project. Thanks for watching.
Great post, can't wait for the finished product running and rolling.... I hope my Forza 350 stays alive as long as this one...

That’s a good tip. Thanks for watching.
This is more than I'd want to get into, fun to watch!
Probably more work than this scooter is worth. But loads of fun. BTW: I don't bowl or fish! 😂
Can't remember the number of times I've put the cap on a carb and realized I forgot the spring! LOL!
I know. Unfortunately I do it more than I like. Thanks for watching.
Awsome
This one is fun. Love the challenge of bringing a dead motorcycle/scooter back to life. Thanks for watching

Where is part 3? I am dying to know what the final rebuild looks like
now that you've had it all apart, what do you think the reason for it being in a scrap yard was? fascinating watching by the way, nice to see something different

clean & rebuild the carb,...reassemble with the rusty corroded screws?
Normally I soak them in rust remover while carbs are in ultrasconic cleaner. Don't know what I was thinking. Thanks for watching
Would love to se the finished product. I own a 1984 Honda Elite
Me too!
Don't lose that screwdriver. lol
I normally store it with my 10mm sockets. Thanks for watching.
Poor thing looks like it was in a fire 🔥
Not a fire!!! 😂just years in a salvage yard. Thanks for watching.
Second most important tool is a set of JIS screwdrivers. These are not Phillips screwdrivers and will not strip out the soft metal screws used on Japanese bikes.
Agreed. I cant live without my set. Thanks for watching.

The carb was shockingly clean. The one for the other Elite looked like it was in a salvage yard. But cleaned up nicely. Thanks for watching.
What happened? Did this series just end? I don’t see a part 3…
Got pushed to the side by other projects.
@@motorcyclerewind aw, sad day. Oh well, the first two were good.
Это хонда!! Чему удивлятся!?? Японцы умели делать!!! Это сейчас все в Китае делают!!!😢
You’re right. Thanks for watching.
what is the plan for this bike? its legally a motorcycle, so it would not be my choice to revive. I have repaired and sold a bunch of Sprees
The plan is to get it running and ride the wheels off it. Wait on the intake to come in. Getting close to putting engine back in and fingers crossed. Having it fire up.
