Meant to see them in ‘03 but caught them in ‘18 Birmingham, AL. It was epic because the set list was amazing and there were 500 empty seats in the upper bowl you could just stand there not cramped.
I saw them in 2013 Lollapalooza Brazil but they were on a bad schedule/stage and the sound was not 100%. Still awesome to see both APC and Puscifer in the same festival
Saw them in Nottingham in 2004. I wasn’t all that familiar with them and was set for a bit of a disappointment after seeing Tool - boy was I ever wrong. Never seen a better performance by any band. As the last notes ended you could hear a pin drop and there was a kind of hushed reverence only heard at classical concerts. Phenomenal. I echo what others have said, go see them if you can, regardless of cost.

Makes up for it completely by the soul he's shining.

I'm a big fan of Maynard and every project that he involves in but it bothers me too see him singing out of tune! Maybe there's a problem with monitoring our something else, but it's annoying! Amazing song though
I mean. Imagine singing the same songs every night for a couple hours, traveling, awkward sleep schedules, and juggling other business/family/writing etc. it takes a toll on a person. He’s far from perfect. Also. Consider where they are at in the tour. That always has an effect as well. If they’re at the beginning or at least the first half you’ll likely get a better performance, say, if you see them towards the end of a tour.
I think he might’ve not been able to hear himself. I’ve sung at many gigs where I couldnt hear myself and tried my best… usually being flat. He’s singing flat here.
