- A little bit of a different vlog this week! Still an Eventing vlog but I’m not riding!! Scott and I headed to Bicton 5* to watch and went camping so we thought we would take you along for the journey!! It was great to be back out at a big event and even better as I hadn’t been to watch a 5* for a very long time and not since I’ve been Eventing at 4* so really wanted to see what it looked like and whether it looked jumpable or not and whether I could really see myself jumping round one day!
Scott and I had a brilliant couple of days and It was nice to be at an event without the stress or worry of going XC!!! Although It did really make me want to have Zeb there with me!

I have a dear friend who has an amazing relationship with every horse she rides . She loves jumping and always performs beautifully. Always helping other riders any way she can. She started on my daughter’s Shetland pony, Misty, 11h. When she outgrew the pony she would come and beg “can I ride Misty?” I said Lisa, you’re too big.” She’d say “I’ll hold my feet up.” She now has a beautiful daughter who rides with her. My friend’s name is Lisa Plummer Smith, and like you, she is lovely, athletic, and an amazing horsewoman. Old enough now to have had many wonderful horses, she will pass this passion on to many horse lovers. Bless you and your family.

I remember playing Pippa Funnels PlayStation game when I was 7/8 years old! I’m now 24.. it’s so nice seeing her still competing and doing so well. Can’t wait to see you eventually take on 5* events!

Great vlog! The good riders make it look so easy, and from a distance the jumps don't look too bad... although, I walked up to a trakhener used at 1m level this summer and thought it was massive (and I can jump 1m showjumps no problem).
I also have to say, I'm team Scott, camping sucks!

You did so well with the jump you fell at. I thought the 4* were something but this is just out of this world. These athletes (both horses and riders) were amazing. Thanks for taking us along :). I don’t do eventing (I’m an ex race horse girl who now ride dressage), so I was wondering about the white « paste » some of the horses have on their legs (what is it and what is it for). Thanks :)
It’s called event grease and can help a horse slide slightly if it makes contact with a fixed xc fence

The rider that jumped the fence you fell at was a Kiwi rider from NZ, his name is Tim Price. He makes x-country look easy!!

Do you know Ingrid Klimpke? I'm pretty sure you do. She makes it look so easy. And she's a freaking good rider. Doesn't matter if dressage or crosscontry.

@@ashleyharrisoneventing Eventing is a major sport here. Heaps of people do it. We also have Adelaide International Horse Trials. Only 5* in the southern hemisphere. But we don't have Badminton and Burghley. Nor do we have team chasing and the hunting scene here is very small. Add in fact that I am a lifelong Anglophile and of course I would live my life over in the UK.
