First competition of 2023! Hope you guys enjoy this vlog! It was good to be back out competing and both boys were amazing! They both jumped super rounds just knocking 1 pole each but it was a very twisty course and they both handled it very well so I was very proud and can’t wait to get back out eventing soon! Hope you guys enjoy the vlog and as always thank you very much for all your support I really appreciate it!!

What a fab video of all the family (hope Zeb and Errol are ok), seeing mum and dad out supporting. Amazing job Ashley, but my goodness Kato looks so very strong (Steve you did a good 'decent' job on him LOL), nicely ridden as ever Ashley, Kato and Max did you proud. Izzy such bad luck, but Tiny was doing so well, it happens, but kudos for being a trouper and getting back on there and doing the job. Thank you Ashely, really do enjoy your vlogs, and quietly whispers, thrilled to see Kato, he is a mega fave with me, stunning horse. Take care, good luck with the house too!

So I'm a little confused. Do you own Kato now? I thought he's been sold.
I know she made a video about him being for sale. I think he just hasn’t sold yet.
I’m wondering whether or not her dad would like to keep him and is lobbying Ashley in favor of Kato being kept. He is a big horse for Ashley, but if he goes better without the Martingale, which is just the opposite of what most horses do, then, maybe that is the key to making him more rideable?

Eeek it seems like you hit the horses in their mouths over almost every jump. I think you’d get a lot more consistency out of your horses if you utilized a proper release over fences. I can totally appreciate that during cross country you have to maintain contact, but I can’t see what the point is during the show jumping phase?
