One of the best kept secrets on the MS coast. Lovely people, great food if you know where to go, and just a good family friendly fun place to live. Great video...Thank You!!
I'm moving to Diamondhead soon. Why are each of the Condominium Villages in Diamondhead maintained at such different levels even though we all pay about the same HOA fee. Lanai Village seems about the best with great landscaping, beautiful pools and fresh paint. Molokai seems to be in the mid-range and can use some improvement. While Lakeside Villa is the worse. I went and looked at a condo there and the pool was green! The pool furniture is sun damaged. The buildings need paint and the lampposts need replacing. My realtor showed me a place yesterday using Zoom at Lakeside. The rain was pouring off the roofs because the gutters need to be replaced. It's really sad to see this beautiful condominium village in such sad shape. I'm actually moving to Lakeside - I found a condo that I really like and was able to make a good offer. Who do I need to talk to about these issues?
Hi, you can kayak from the marina. There's also many launch places around the coast. Most people go to the Gulfport hospital. There are several physician clinics and diamondhead for routine appointments. As for the HOA question, I recommend calling them directly. Thanks for watching!
Diamond Head has really caught my eye. Mississippi in general is retirement friendly state. The location pretty amazing too. Close to Gulfport and Biloxi. I’m sure Gulfport has the specialist clinics a retiree would need and I am guessing the VA for us veterans. I’m not from the south, how bad are the mosquitoes? It may seem trivial, but I hate them. Thanks for posting this content.
We definitely have mosquitoes along the coast. It really depends on where you buy and how well you mitigate. Mosquitoes lay their eggs in water so removing pooling water can drastically reduce mosquitoes around your home. The yard can also be treated.
Great question Terry. The closest hospitals are located in Gulfport. Memorial is located in South Gulfport. It is a level 2 trauma center and is the highest level trauma center on the coast. Singing River is located in North Gulfport and is rated a level 3 trauma center. Level 1 care is usually sent to Mobile, AL. Memorial is approximately 35 minutes from Diamondhead and Singing River approximately 25 minutes.

I would address it with the condo association.
Thanks for this video! Looking at the fee schedule, what is consolidation at $2500? What do people do for medical? Can you kayak from the marina?
