In these 4 dimm sloted am4 mobos you have to install the dimm in the seccond slot for the board to work correctly , if you have only one memory module. if you have 2 you have to populate the seccond and the fourth slot !

This is not always the case. There is a recommended slot to use one DIMM or a pair of DIMMs, however I have had a couple of boards that had a glitch and wouldn't POST when RAM was in slot 2 or both 2 and 4; it would only train the memory by putting a single stick in slot 1, letting the memory train, then shutting it down and populating slots 2 and 4 and it worked normally. This was an ASUS board. I also had a similar problem with a Gigabyte Z390 UD board. In many cases, a motherboard will boot just fine with a stick in any slot. It is only required to populate slots 2 and 4 (or 1 and 3, depending on what the manual says) if you want to run dual channel.

I am using a 12V power supply, that has an amp meter and then use a 12V to 24 pin adapter! Its linked in my description!

Hi there my Friend! I have a question for you, I have an older MSI 790FX-GD70 that has one of those post code hex decimal displays on the motherboard, I noticed the pins or solder joins are the same on these display modules as well as the footprints for these on the motherboards, Can I de-solder this from the old MSI motherboard and solder it on my ASUS ROG Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi II? Is there instruction sets in the BIOS firmware to enable it. or will it just work by default. I would like to have this option available for future troubleshooting.

Hi, i have msi x570a pro with stuck rst signal. It does not have ite ic and the atx pwgd goes directly to it(no resistor between). Could it be a bios issue?

It could be a Bios problem yes, but there are many reasons why reset could be stuck, i even had it once that someone left a jumper on clrrtc and that keep reseting the board. Looking for resistance on rtc would also be a good point to look for!
