I found him to be ironically funny. He uproots an entire dining area just for a battle, then instead of heading back to the gym area to talk to the desk person to fight him, you just hop into battle. Then he battles right after eating and then proceeds to eat as if he hadn't eaten beforehand after the battle. Not to mention his second title. Only Agatha has done so in the aniem
Larry is the best. His facade Starraptor sweeped my team multiple times. Maybe my team was just badly built but he’s the only gym leader that was a challenge in a long time. He’s also one of the few trainers who can Terrastilize 1-handed with almost 0 effort. He’s just doing his job, and given how exhausted he is the Top Champion must be an awful boss.
In the rematch Larry reveals that apparently his boss has asked Larry to stop putting in extra hours. Meaning that Larry himself is his own slave driver

I had a fun glitch happen with Larry. So, I did the gym test just fine, but when I actually went to go fight him, I found I was quite a bit underlevelled, so I reset the game and decided to put him off for later. The Gym test itself stayed done, though. A while later, when I came back to fight him, *he wasn't there*. I went and talked to the one guy to start the battle, and the intro scene for Larry played as programmed, Larry stood up, spoke, and went to the battlefield, but Larry's model just was not there, so it was like a ghost was talking.
