- I noticed that Geeta has been programed to not like Larry, who is by our standards, the everyday working man that has a family, a full time job and then 2 side jobs which are Gym Leader & Elite 4 member.
First video will show she likes the other gym leaders by the way she nods her head in agreement.
Second half of the video will show her not agreeing with me choosing Larry.
She fears Larry, she is afraid that Larry will replace her sooner then later. Then he can finally makes his own shifts as he desires.
To be fair... Larry is FAR more interesting than Geeta.
She is about to force Larry to do a triple shift on top of his regular job, being a gym leader and a member of the elite 4.
She actually wants larry to work less

I don’t think this is 100% true. He has three jobs and she is his boss for all three jobs (he works in the Paldean Pokemon League as a businessman - his gym description reveals this info). I don’t think he has any options or time not do overtime. He was basically forced in the Elite 4 because they are short staffed (Masters EX confirms this). Also the Japanese overworked salarymen tends to work overtime due to internal and external pressure, companies also appreciate overtime. Anyways he is not 100% the cause of his misery.

I look forward for Gamefreak to release the statistics of how the players answered, i voted Larry as best gym leader and i hated it when Geeta looked at me in disapproval (she is evil, promoting toxic work environment and exploiting everyone because she wants to Make Paldea Great Again or something) >:/ i´ll be happy if Larry appears as the most liked gym leader, he is ICONIC, but then again there is Gamefreak, they´ll probably rig the results and say the best gym leader was Iono because they invested too much in promoting her and they want to appeal to younger audiences since they take us millenials for granted XD but Larry is Larry and i hope to see him in the DLC and in the anime :) or probably with his own minisode like in Generations or Wings of Twilight
What makes Larry so iconic? He is average and I really don’t like that. I like characters with personality and stand out among the others. That’s why I like Kofu and Iono FAR more than the other gum leaders.

Actually, when I looked closely when the player says their favourite gym leader is Larry. Geeta shakes her head but when she stopped, she has a smile. I don't think she hates Larry, but I think she just appreciates him, I think.
Everyone would be making sure the challenger would have a fun time since the majority of them are youths.
Larry he just doing his job. While people around him would hype him up, i dont think the player would have a best first impression on him if he is boring personality wise and the league might have hired paid actor to hype up larry's match.
Probalby greeta smiling means he is finally having fun than just doing it for paycheck to paycheck.
Lol I dunno why many don't like Geeta. I love her though she is actually letting Larry to do less overtime but Larry just so workaholic plus her new team is a threat.
Larry should’ve been the champion, when fighting the elite four I came in blind. If he fought me with his normal types I would’ve actually lost because I had no idea what normal types were weak too until I fought Larry, and when they surveyed me for elite four Larry gave me the most trouble (but I am a Gruasha fan)
You make no sense.
Just a random theory: You know that there are theories that said Geeta is actually evil? What if in DLC, she is evil, and Larry is secretly an agent or something similar (despite his normalness) who tailed her to get information or foiled her plan. Geeta have a hunch about it, but because she have no evidences, she can't incriminate him. Thus making her dislike Larry.

Everyone is saying something is off with her, and one of the basis are the gym leaders themselves, and how the majority of them don't like her at all.

@@repollorepolloymasrepollo1821 I am pointing out the most common argument. And being pessimistic about this notion is not that bad since if it were true, it will not be surprise for them. Since this is still a theory until it is proven for whatever DLC will come out for the remainder of time Generation 9 has.
@@Magicwaterz Yeah I understand where you're coming from and it makes sense. The problem I have with all those theories is that people tend to find any excuse to villify those they don't like and they ignore the mistakes of those they like for some reason. That way sometimes a person is treated like a monster without deserving It and is blamed for shit without, again, deserving anything, even if the person is innocent or never had bad intentions, yet a person just because they are well liked can do terrible things and get away with them no problem

Geeta hate Larry ? Well tough luck some gym Leader hate her too: Katy is disappointed by the fact Sexy Geeta ask her to go easy with the challengers (i can understand the obese Baker insect gym-leader cyz i hate hide my strengh too), Tulip don't like Geeta cuz she have a huge bewitching aura and crush her with her charisma/Strengh. Larry despise her cuz Geeta forced him to change his predilection type (well i can understand Larry nobody love see his habits being changed). Grusha should be able to brown-nose Geeta cuz he didn't wish lose his gym leader position (once again i can understand his fear).
Maybe Rika and Hassel love work for her but for the others: no way

Why does Larry get so much praise? He didn’t leave a big impression on me. Kofu and Iono did. If anything, Larry is my least favorite gym leader, not just because Normal is among my least favorite types (even though Porygon-Z is my favorite of said type), but Larry is painfully average. I get that’s a part of his character but he just blends in.
That's the whole point, he is an everyday working person probably just like you, on top of that he has to be a Gym Leader & an Elite 4 while everyone else has 1 job. He has 3. That's why she does not like him, he represents ALL who have a full time job AND play Pokemon since 1996. He wears a business suit with no funky hairstyle, no weird ass backstory or outlandish outfit, he just wants to go home to see his family.

I prefer the characters who do look outlandish because if there is one thing I really don't like, it's normalcy.
@@jw_gojifan19 All the games since 1999 have had outlandish characters, that is the new normal. Larry is the one out of place in the game, normal to us, but not to Pokemon.
Normal is definitely my least favourite type. It's not super effective on anything. I'm more focus on the offense of Pokemon battles and Normal is almost useless offensively.
