My family knew her. I went to her house when I was about four. I remember that the whole place was pink.
I had been breastfed as a child. When she bent down to say hello I remember salivating.
We quit going to her house because of religious differences.

She was hired by 20th Century Fox to be a threat to MM who had walked out and was resisting signing a new contract. So Jayne was hired only to be a replacement. Fox never really invested much in her after the first few films. Jayne ran with it and played it to the hilt and it payed off for awhile but Fox lost interest and put her in second rate films and then let her go in early 1962 before MM's death when Jayne was still only 29.

I feel like she was the Anna Nicole Smith if her time. Absolutely gorgeous but troubled and kind of the laughing stock of the press. I'm not pitting them against each other because I think they were both gorgeous and Marilyn is Marilyn- nobody can ever be her but facially I think Jane was actually way prettier. Especially when you take into consideration Marilyn had so much plastic surgery on her face she looked completely different than Norma Jean (and that's actually a credit to her doctor he did an amazing job, you wouldn't be able to tell if it wasn't public knowledge) but yea Jayne was one of the prettiest women from that era in my opinion. I wish she made her own lane instead of letting people convince her to try and be the next Marilyn especially when it was Marilyn's heyday at the time, it's not like this was 20 years after Marilyn passed. You can't have two Marilyn's at the same time lol, I think that was a huge reason she was received the way she was, the woman she was imitating was alive and around! Who thought that would be a good idea? Too bad she didn't realize that and make her own lane.

I’ve seen where people would love to see a quick bio on present starlets and divas, but I’m more concern about Women of the “Classic Golden Era of Hollywood “. Everyone before I was born in the 80’s. 😅 I find that their lives are so much interesting especially to know during a difficult time.

Binging on your content tonight. Thought I knew Jayne Mansfield, then I see her playing the violin! 160 IQ!?! Fluent in four languages!?! Wow!!! Love this. I totally see Jayne, a very beautiful woman, in Mariska's eyes. And Sophia Loren's side eye on Jayne's famous bustline in that infamous photo...classic! She and Mickey were quite a stunning, larger than life couple. Such a terribly tragic death. Thanks for your great storytelling!

It seems like everyone doesn't do a whole lot of researching someone that we look at in awe. Her daughter is a great actress and I like her persona. I don't know her personally and I didn't know her mother. But any Google search more than just one search engine, will reveal why I said what I said. Prove to me that what is discovered is not a truth. We all have opinions I try to base mine on truth not starry eyed lies.
