How to Bond With and Tame Your Parrot | Gaining the Trust of a New Bird

  • It’s time for an update on my adopted budgie Violet!!! (Formerly known as Pablita). Today I show you the steps I used to bond with and tame her. When working with a bird the most important thing is to never give up! Taming a parrot, especially a small one like a budgie, takes time and patience. It’s so important to keep going until you achieve results, because otherwise your bird is stuck in its cage, and that is not ok!!

You can also tilt your head and blink slowly.
Birds do this when they trust someone,
I'm guessing if you tilt your head and blink slowly it means to a bird
''I trust you, so you can trust me''

I went to a friends house and she had a new budgie. I was soooo excited and tried to start training it and gaining trust. After learning a bit more and really putting lots of work into it:letting it sleep when it needed to giving it food and water. In two days the budgie could jump on our hand and shoulder!❤❤😂 It is really hard and you have to put in the effort to get your bird trained😊

I ordered a HUGE Flight Cage (The biggest one I could find with appropriate spacing) and lots of things you and others suggested. Hes still a BB. Only 8 weeks.
