Watching those little farts running to Mikayla’s call was so adorable! All heros don’t always wear capes, some of them have a camera instead and all kinds of silly colors on their finger nails. Blessed you guys and all the good things you bring into the life of those furry (and other) creatures.
It’s not that she “needs” them like a neurotic hoarder. She is saving their lives. They’re not pets. If she didn’t take them they would die. This is a professional, charitable enterprise. The work & headaches & stress involved can’t be imagined. She only shows the pleasant parts on her videos.
Oh my gosh they're adorable! A lot of black-backed jackals live in the area of my dad's farm and I know some other farmers have raised babies by hand. I was once incredibly lucky to see a mom with her pups at a wildlife reserve. They have the most amazing, eerie call at night and I highly suggest looking it up! Edit: one of the most difficult babies my friends at a sanctuary have raised was a young spotted hyena
@@ES11777 he's very affectionate and makes this very specific high pitched sound when my friend goes to see him. However it's always important not to underestimate a hyena, even as a baby he had a really terrifying bite strength. He really loves his chin scratches 😊

20 years from now we will be watching Michaela on TV with her own wildlife refuges and she will be the female version of Steve Irwin showing us and teaching us all about the wide variety of uncommon animals she cares for.
Your compassionate and loving interaction with all of those animals in your care proofs to me that civilization is thankfully still evolving! Thanks for showing us what really matters in life!

But as long as you know that they'll be safe and happy somewhere else and you can still visit them, it shouldn't be so bad. Plus it means you can take in more adorable baby animals :)
Jackals mate for life and are very protective of their pups, even more than other species. It's a shame the babies couldn't stay with the parents. They definitely landed in the best place possible though

Yup. Mikayla like to keep the babies a secret. Even a couple weeks ago, people were like "What! Wait! Freya is your daughter? I didn't know you had a kid!" Freya has been in the videos for years now. How did people not know?
I had a Jack Russell that was born with a hernia. Yes they are repairable when spayed or neutered. They also require a diet for sensitive tummy as they get older but live full lives. My Russell was like Stan from "South Park" and threw up at the drop of a hat. 😂
Those little pups have the sweetest, most chill disposition of any pup I've ever seen, of any kind. They come off as a totally domesticated breed. Wild (pun intended).
I wasn’t at all sure what those little cuties were, they sure are adorable and they love you too!!!. How sweet to have them follow you and give you kisses. Will they be in the same area as their parents and when will they be reunited?.❤💙❤💙

Jackals are probably one of my favorite animals I am a born and raised Florida girl who just moved 3 years but I remember going to one of the zoo’s and seeing a jackal sleeping in the shade and just fell in love with the animals While I love foxes I think jackal take the number one spot though

Mikalya got lots of wet sloppy kisses from the babies. Very cute pups glad they are going to good homes when they get bigger.
We had those at the wildlife reserve in South Africa where my stepmum lived. Central Florida’s environment is darned close to that of the Limpopo!
