Stressing like crazy about a scan today about potential open heart surgery in the near future.... this is just what I needed to calm me down, thanks Plini ❤️
There's just something about Plini, man. He's pretty much one of the best guitarists ever, but he also seems super humble and down to earth, all while making it look so easy. He's not really a showoff or anything, he just makes amazing music, and I love it. Another commenter here describes him as both laid back, but in your face as well. I think that sums it up pretty well.
*This is my favourite Plini song. This song gives me a vibe of melancholy. One day, I'll tell my future kids, friends and families about life's struggles which brought us there.*
@@blaisemorales1299 its definitely real bass. Simon Grove provided the bass talent as he usually plays bass for Plini and does production / mixing. Dude is a savage.
Plini is one of those artists where his influences are blended together in a seamless way. With many other musicians, often when listening to them, you think, "Oh, there's the jazz bit. There's the metal bit. There's the shredding bit. There's the electronica bit, etc." With Plini, he incorporates his influences in a way that sounds cohesive instead of disjointed. Instead of a collage of different genres and styles, you get this new organic thing.
The video gives vibe of- where a young guitarist on a quest to be the best guitarist searching for that master everywhere atlast finding him in a small town tailoring store 😅
I’m not sure if it’s just me but when I hear this song all of the emotion and feeling in it makes me start to cry. I’m not sure what to make of it. I’ve never quite experienced something like this song before.
Im an older guitarist and ive not found something new this awesome in a long time. Much respect to Plini above hype beyond ego just a killer player composer. Super cool.
Hi, I'm already an old man, and I've experienced a lot of music in my life, but PLINI is one of the best things you can do musically, best modern groove band ever. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
This dude stands alone man! His tone and feel are unmatched. Unlike most virtuosos he has an insane knack to create actual melodies instead of just showing off with technique.
@2:08 man there`s just something that gets me about that riff. It makes me feel happy and uplifted, but at the same time brings up sadness and longing about times that I`ve felt more alive. I`ve always felt emotion is better expressed through melody/tone and rhythm than lyrics anyways. We all feel the same emotions, they're not always about the same thing.
I'm going through counseling for grief, anger, and anxiety that I has gone unprocessed. I have spent hours sitting still and listening to this through headphones while whatever emotion pours out. So, thanks for helping me process, Plini. More than just music.
Wish I could like this twice. This guy is an absolute beast. The way his songs showcase the uniqueness of his technique despite the main focus being the whole composition and not only the guitar parts is simply mesmerizing. Oh yeah, and the mix is god damned gold.
3:21 sounds so Jakub Zytecki to me and I can’t help but smile remembering the energy the two of you had playing together last year in Glasgow - amazing!
You can really hear the zytecki in this tune! He’s definitely been listening to some of jakub’s work while writing this. Something about the tone haha.
I just discovered Plini today, thank God... I've been listening to the Dayce Remix of this song for months now, I can't explain it but it has helped me get through a breakup. I don't know how, but this song is healing for me :')
What makes Plini an artist and not just a “guitar player” is that he is able to manifest this music in a way that is an exact reflection of who he is. It’s uncanny. First, the setting and the attire and the lighting, all tranquil but with a subtle edge. They somehow seem to mirror his day to day persona (at least the one we see in his videos and performances). It’s just right. And then there is his grace and ease in playing this song; all the while it’s complicated as hell. That he manages to remain serene through all the difficult passages is to defy gravity somehow. What a phenom and a joy to watch and listen.
Plini is hands down the future of guitar playing, the level of complexity found in his writing is unlike anything else, at times you hear that Holdsworth coming through but in a different way. He’s forging his own path and no one can touch him. The rhythms so simple yet so complex paint such a vivid picture that reminds me of masterpieces like the Inception soundtrack. This guy will be remembered as one of the greatest guitar players ever.
This is a song you play while wing suiting it down a mountain or doing some extreme sport. So positive and inspiring. By far my favorite song you have done....
Loved every second. An absolute beauty. Since Joe Satriani it seemed that any contemporary guitarists could avoid unnecessary pyrotechnics and compose something that resembled a song and not a demonstration of unnecessary wankery. I'd love the rest of the generation of "new guitarists" like Plini could understand this.
This song hurts me a lot, it makes me remember the love of my life... Now she's not here, everytime any song of the album plays, specially this one and "The glass bead game", I just can't hold the tears, wandering, remembering everything about her... Thank you for every single note on this album Plini, it took me more than a year, but your music is definitely an inspiration to me, the soundtrack for my life for sure.

Probably my favorite song from Plini. The middle to the end is when it just kills.
I like how every note played is treated with the same level of care & respect as one holding a priceless jewel.
His playing is on the scalpel level of precision
I agree. What I also find refreshing is that he doesn't have the urge to dramatically vibrate every note he plays. He's very conscious with that.
I enjoyed it!
