I play mostly by ear and didn’t use sheet music for this. I have a pretty good grasp of how music works so I rarely use sheets now. Hope this answers the question. ✌🏾
I wish it was pure talent. Took quite a bit to unlearn my Classical background and learn to play by ear. I can play both, but after learning how to play by ear I haven’t looked back
I’d say it’s absolutely possible, you just need the right instructor. Unfortunately it’s usually tough to find live instruction near by, but with membership sites, the right courses and 1-on-1 online lessons, you can definitely pick it up.
