Cameos aside, DP&W felt a bit hollow to me. I wanted them to go a bit deeper with the story and emotional beats. I also wasn’t a fan of the “villain” at all, but I enjoyed myself well enough. Definitely not a perfect film in my opinion and definitely not the best Deadpool out of the 3.

Without Wolvie, or some other character I really like, I wouldn't have gone to see this movie. DP3 is my favorite of the 3, but I understand the thinking that DP1 is the best film of the 3.
Watch the movie last night and I had a blast and it got me thinking because I think I realized what this movie is about in two ways. For one, this was the movie where Marvel made it for the reason of them recognizing the mistakes and trying to correct it by having Deadpool make jokes about it. Secondly, it is a movie that can get people back on board because of its great quality in knowing that people will like that this is something that Marvel can still do and will try to do it moving forward with anything they make.
Just getting home from watching Deadpool and wolverine. It didn't live up to all the hype (Especially the end credits) but still a very good movie and a love letter to all the fans of the Fox/marvel movies.
i always felt like Good Kid maad city perfectly figured out how to sound and play like mainstream hip hop but also be a conceptual masterpiece, impressive coy
My only issue with Deadpool 3 is that they made a lot of talk about Deadpool being "Marvel Jesus" and the savior of the MCU (he says it multiple times in the movie) but the movie doesn't have any consequence to the greater MCU if you really step back and think about it. You could take this movie away and nothing in greater plotline of the MCU changes much less gets saved lol
After thinking about it, my conclusion about what will determine a fan's reception of this movie is...this movie isn't just a continuation of Deadpool. It's a mix of both movies with what Dr Strange 2 and NWH tried to be. Anyone who likes these 4 will love the movie, but anyone who doesn't like most of these will have a high probability of not liking Deadpool and wolverine
It’s strange to me that DP3 is R rated in America, and has a 15 rating in the UK. I would’ve thought an R rating was the equivalent of an 18 rating in the UK. Funny how the UK is a bit more relaxed than the US in this case
Zero urge for Joker 2, the first one felt wrong and slimy. I'm glad you like it, but I saw it once and have zero interest to see more in this world. I loved Mindhunter and Natural Born Killers, and can rewatch them, Joker just doesn't have that for me. I am very much in Coy's camp for Deadpool and Wolverine, everyone should go forth and experience it with joy. PS - The opening scene of D&W was perfection.

I HATE the previews before the video. I don’t understand why that’s being done more and more by creators. It’s obnoxious. I guarantee if you polled your followers, most would say they don’t like it.
Jurassic Park is an endlessly rewatchable movie, T2 is endlessly rewatchable, Ferris Bueller is endlessly rewatchable. Having seem this twice in two days...I'm fine waiting 10 years to get some distance then see this semi fresh. The jokes are so specific and some already very dated it's not gonna age well.
That new Transformers one trailer was fantastic and I knew that Harloff and kris and Winston were gonna be wrong and that first trailer was misleading Surprised that Harloff didn’t do a reaction
No GOG3 honestly is...This film is basically Shang-Chi with more comedy and cameos and WAY WAY WAY less story...Not all the jokes were that funny(lots of hits and misses) and that bus scene in Shang-Chi was incredible... So yeah both 7-ish movies... People's grade on this film is all about how much importance a person puts in cameos and story...And how funny they think the jokes are... Luckily there are tons...So yeah GOG3 all the way... underrated movie BTW
I think Kristian is wrong. The heart was perfect. I cried twice. Logan’s speech before the car fight and Laura and Logan. Those 2 scenes hit me so hard. I think it’s a perfect movie
My guess is if Cap 4 flops, either critically or commercially, cause it could...Feige might have to go. Is it possible that the man who played an important role in all the homeruns can now be the one swinging and missing? Absolutely
Going to see Deadpool and Wolverine at 3:40 Cali time today! And I will come back to see if I agree with what I think I think of before hand based off Kristian's thoughts. I never had a problem with jokes as I don't think that gets in the way of heart. Ever especially with Deadpool. To me Guardians 2 has the most heart out of any Marvel movie with all its jokes and its jokes help boost it imo as it makes it more real. Everyone I know makes jokes even in serious moments. Maybe its just how I was raised.
Just got out and I LOVED IT It is my Favorite Deadpool movie without a doubt. Best Comedy IMO Best Directing IMO I wish more of the Deadpool cast could of been in it. However I get thats not the story but I do wish we get them in the next trilogy in the MCU! I want SO MUCH MORE DEADPOOL I get this isn't your thing Kristian and I get it. But to me this is Cinema. It's a form of Cinema Peak Cinema while Joker to me is a imitation of older movies but not as well done just great acting with not interesting story. Winston was right to compare this to The Boys vs The Acolyte in Terms of Quality and Storytelling and Humor and Tone. When Deadpool is making jokes that is the heart when he breaks the fourth wall that is the story and just because a Spider-Man and Deadpool movie will happen doesn't mean Spider-Man will break the fourth wall as Wolverine didn't only Deadpool.
I went to a 6:30 packed showing Thursday night and for some of the “inside baseball” jokes and cameos 10-15% of the audience, myself included, understood and recognized the joke/cameo. But, the more generic jokes were spot on in the response of the audience. 9/10, best Fox Marvel film since Logan. Third best “MCU” film since Endgame; 1. Spiderman NWH 2. GOTG vol 3.
This was the exact same as my showing on Friday afternoon. There was a group of three behind me, two of which were hardcore fans (based on chatting before the trailers began) and they along with a few others scattered elsewhere got every joke I got, but silence from the rest of the audience, and the third member of their group, for some of the more "inside baseball" jokes - none off which I can say without listing a spoiler. So it's very interesting because those jokes WERE good jokes but for a very specific set of people. So curious if the remaining comedic beats for general audiences will leave them with such a strong positive impression as fans. I don't think anyone left the theatre disappointed based on body language and smiles on faces but there was contrast of giddy excitement and "I've not laughed at a film so hard in ten years" from one of the fans behind me compared with "It was worth the ticket price" from others.
It changes what the void is where it is how it works... breaks lore. That was just made less than a year ago... its a 6.5/7 movie... it has funny moments does not fix MCU. Nothing in it has anything todo with our mcu..thatvu could bring over to upcoming movie
I really wanted to like this movie more than I did.I think it was good but the first deadpole will always be the best and a part of my top five list of comical movies of all time still. I did love the certain people who came back, but all in all it was just okay. And i'm sorry, I was won over by ryan reynolds for the first time when he did the first deadpool movie. But after that, all the jokes are kinda telegraphed from a mile away. Lol
I think blade gets pushed back a year and we get Spider-Man 4 instead; as much as i love the spider-man movies; I've been excited for Blade but bummed if its going to be pushed back again.
I want to thank WESLEY SNIPES for being a pioneer in the comic book movie genre, no disrespect to his ability but I think this was a great send off and I don’t want to see a movie length of an older performer anymore…..INDY, HAN SOLO are iconic characters recreated with their original casts have not done well and I don’t believe would work anymore …..recast and allow a new actor to own this generation’s character….much like BATMAN, SUPERMAN, OO7 etc
Question isn’t Joker a musical? I had heard that they have 8 songs. Doesn’t anyone think that the Joker being a musical would hurt it at the box office. I only say this because I have a lot of friends that were already out on joker after seeing the first one. They all liked the first movie but none of them thought it was a joker movie and have no plans on seeing it. Then I have friends that will never see a musical. I just feel like joker won’t be a box office hit if it’s a musical. Also If it’s not a musical the fact that it isn’t joker it’s just joker by name that it won’t do as well as the last one.
Thank you for not spoiling anything until Monday. I am doing my best to live with blinders on. I hope I like it even though I am not a huge fan of the Fox franchises until DP. I am just hoping they wipe them off the face of the map so we can finally do right for our first 5, or STORM, and maybe some Kitty Pryde & Colossus love action. Fox's just always felt like "I do not know these characters you are trying to be".
This is why I hate Cody. "the good outweighs the bad"????? Not for a long time ago. The good wasn't great. So because Captain Marvel did 1B , you think that's part of the good???? Well, if fanboys like these two guys weren't so complicit with any meaningless mention or announcement than Disney would stop projects with no plans, no script, no cast. You hear "Doom" in a Marvel movie and y'all are excited making countless videos about it
I hate people act like all the movies before endgame were 10/10. No there was so many mediocre movies that came out and everyone seems to forget about it.
Whilst I think the odds of this movie making a $1 billion are likely, there are few things to consider that may mean it is not a guarantee. - Will the humor and jokes translate well internationally into other languages ? Comedies or movies that rely on humor often do not do as well overseas for this reason. (However the presence of big stars like Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds that helps movies overseas counld counter this) - How will this movie do in China? The country is no longer a guarnteed money maker for hollywood movies that it was 5 years ago (except certain movies like Avatar, No Time to Die, Jurassic World 3). - Will the enough of the inside baseball jokes that relate to Holywood, Fox Merger, MCU and Comic book etc go over both the international and non hardcore comic book fan audiance to impact the movie neagtiavly? - Will the summer olympics impact the box office in any way? What about the R -rating. - Will a lot of the General and casual audiance that are not as invested in the MCU or comic book movies as they were 5 or 6 years ago make an exception to see Deadpool and Wolevene? I still think the movie will gross $1 billion of course, It is just something to think about.
Future thinking....does anyone else think that Marvel is in a no-win situation when it comes to DP being in a future Avengers movie? I know people will want him in there but will they be happy with a watered down version of DP? Cause there is no way an Avengers film is R-rated. Thoughts?
Nah. Remember in DP2: DP Harder, the First Class cameo? A censored Deadpool cameo where he takes a look around and nopes tf out would be completely on brand. Think about Weasel in DP1, "I'd go with you, but I don't want to". Just my opinion.
Great point. I definitely think they can make it work, just hope people don't hate on it having unrealistic expectations that they would make Avengers R rated.
It's sad to see people who don't understand how this part of the industry works ( or head buriers) now! Kevin Feige is talking utter foolishness and the fans deserve to fall for it as far as I'm concern. Remember this is the same guy who trolled the hell out of you with She -Hulk finale, this guy answers to the asset gangsters Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street, it is as simple as that. All they care about is social engineering the public with every opportunity through their assets, which in this case is Marvel/MCU. He does not have that pull people think he does, what ever idea he puts forward has to go through the investor's and work round their agenda, if they decide to course correct it will be based upon their agenda not because of the fans. They have said it time and time again it's all about changing society, despite this you will continue to act like addicts and give them your money despite the harms of their social engineering.
I feel like I watched a different movie to everybody else. I thought the cameos were slightly predictable (aside from one). I think this insane reliability of nostalgia and cameos is killing storytelling. I’m going to get abused on here (in the same way I got punched by a fan who sat next to me at a midnight screening because of a cameo). But for a movie that was hyped up to be a game changer for the MCU. It did nothing but mock it. It felt like a cheap gimmick movie where everything is just about nostalgia and how many times someone can say fuck in a sentence in order to appear cool. “Don’t worry about Logan, we’re not touching that”
What movie was I watching I thought this was one of the worse mcu movies. Thank God Levy isn't doing Avengers. I thought it dragged action scenes where mid at best and most of the jokes were corny. But I'm glad others enjoyed it. I think Marvel still has a long way to go before there back.
I don't know...once the surprise Cameos have been experienced once it's pretty much done...If you catch the jokes the first they weren't funny enough for me to wanna hear them again...the comedy and action is just a tick above middling and not enough engaging story... If done well Joker part two could be like the Dark Knight...I love rewatching that film.
@@marcakins3373 Yeah this was a fun film and Id recommend it especially to comic book nerds like myself...I'm probably the select few people who caught everything in that Wolverine montage and maybe its because Im the same age as Ryan Reynolds I can remember things like Puck or the Age of Apocalypse story fondly...but that being said I wouldn't oversell this movie to people either... Referencing something isn't the same as experiencing that thing for the first time. Cameos are like a one time magic trick.
Very true, I totally agree….you can not keep going back to the “remember berries “ I am glad this was made but we need to see innovation and better stories that are integrated into larger connected projects…this feels like an impossible task but that the secret sauce called Hollywood magic….if that makes any sense
if Feige got to travel back in time, i hope he'll.... wipe out the entire Phase FOUR and redo them, except for No Way Home. Black Widow should've been a more grounded tightly-written Winter Soldier type of outing. Shang-Chi should've had MORE straight up kung fu fighting stuff and much MUCH less...even NO CG dragons. Skip Eternals...for now. No one knew about or demanded it. Put more and better thought out cameos and multiverse worlds in the Doc Strange 2 movie. Actually give NOTES to Taika Waititi to NOT make Love & Thunder a 99.9% comedy farce...and actually have more serious tone (regarding Jane's cancer and Gorr's threat) with some, but not overwhelming humor for breather beats. RECAST T'Challa...or postpone Wakanda Forever, if the crew & cast couldn't do it (so close to Chadwick's passing). as for Phase 5....just UNDO Quantumania...and rework The Marvels and make it GOOD. oh, and completely DROP the whole thing about Ruth, or Sabra...and just go with a whole new different NON-i$raeli character to be in Brave New World.
I don’t think joker 2 is going to make me cry maybe I’m wrong but I doubt . Deadpool and Wolverine was cotton candy but it had heart . Joker just isn’t that interesting on his own they did a good movie once doubt they can really do it again .

I absolutely loved D&W, like Coy mentioned in his review this movie is like a comic book. Can't wait to rewatch this over and over!
Eh kind of like a comic book...The one with a lot of splash pages and excuses for people to fight with no story
Just getting home from watching Deadpool and wolverine. It didn't live up to all the hype (Especially the end credits) but still a very good movie and a love letter to all the fans of the Fox/marvel movies.
Well said...same
I need to rewatch it, but D&W is the second best MCU movie since Endgame. Eternals is my favorite by far.
i always felt like Good Kid maad city perfectly figured out how to sound and play like mainstream hip hop but also be a conceptual masterpiece, impressive coy
When the guys are talking about the Deadpool movies as rap albums and Kristian just dips out Lolol
Well said
Just wanted to let you know there's a streamer mode in Discord's settings that will turn off all sound notifications.
I agree with the inside baseball jokes, I had to explain a couple to my buddy that went way over his head
I agree. 1, 3, 2.
I'm curious Winstons opinion after nailing the lineup for hall H and not being satisfied if that was it. Campea was a negative till RDJ announcement.
Joker 2 will probably be one of the few musicals I like.
It’s strange to me that DP3 is R rated in America, and has a 15 rating in the UK. I would’ve thought an R rating was the equivalent of an 18 rating in the UK. Funny how the UK is a bit more relaxed than the US in this case
Not sure Sony would approve of a Deadpool-infused hard-R Spiderman crossover film, but I for sure would buy the first ticket I could to see it.
I personally preferred both Guardians 3 and No Way Home over this since Endgame. This is still a really awesome movie.
Wrong and slimy when addressing mental health issues, but some how Deadpool didn't lol. Interesting take.

Still think/hope we'll get a proper Deadpool 3 restoring the heart of the first 2, and finishing those stories that were very much on the back burner here. How do you bring Hugh/Logan into the MCU without a proper MCU XMen film? Deadpool and Wolverine.

Joker isn’t a comic movie. That’s why it’s so good. I could do without any mention of Bruce Wayne.
I mean it's literally a movie based on a comic character, so yeah it is...
They literally dedicate screen time to Bruce Wayne in Joker…
I HATE the previews before the video. I don’t understand why that’s being done more and more by creators. It’s obnoxious. I guarantee if you polled your followers, most would say they don’t like it.
Jurassic Park is an endlessly rewatchable movie, T2 is endlessly rewatchable, Ferris Bueller is endlessly rewatchable. Having seem this twice in two days...I'm fine waiting 10 years to get some distance then see this semi fresh. The jokes are so specific and some already very dated it's not gonna age well.
That new Transformers one trailer was fantastic and I knew that Harloff and kris and Winston were gonna be wrong and that first trailer was misleading
Surprised that Harloff didn’t do a reaction
Really enjoyed DP&W but I think GOTG3 is the best since Endgame. IMO, it’s GOTG3, then DP&W then No Way Home
Luckily there are tons...So yeah GOG3 all the way... underrated movie BTW
it;s ok. CALM DOWN.
RIGHT
I think Kristian is wrong. The heart was perfect. I cried twice. Logan’s speech before the car fight and Laura and Logan. Those 2 scenes hit me so hard. I think it’s a perfect movie
He's wrong about an opinion?....
I absolutely loved this movie!
Hey Coi…Blade is the only movie Marvel has EVER announced that didn’t come out. The phase 3 & 4 announcements were amazing. Let’s not overreact.
The announcements were good and the results were terrible
Inhumans movie never got made. The tv show only happened after the film was outright cancelled
He also thinks he’s a rap historian too. He knows everything 🙄🙄
ARMOR WARS...I'm pretty sure there are others
I haven't laughed out loud at the theaters in a long time.
Deadpool, Spidey, and Venom.
It changes what the void is where it is how it works... breaks lore. That was just made less than a year ago... its a 6.5/7 movie... it has funny moments does not fix MCU. Nothing in it has anything todo with our mcu..thatvu could bring over to upcoming movie
YO EXACTLY WHAT I SAID lol

I really wanted to like this movie more than I did.I think it was good but the first deadpole will always be the best and a part of my top five list of comical movies of all time still. I did love the certain people who came back, but all in all it was just okay. And i'm sorry, I was won over by ryan reynolds for the first time when he did the first deadpool movie. But after that, all the jokes are kinda telegraphed from a mile away. Lol
YEP...yeah for me its one, two, then three
I think blade gets pushed back a year and we get Spider-Man 4 instead; as much as i love the spider-man movies; I've been excited for Blade but bummed if its going to be pushed back again.
I love the dark shit too.
I loved it, it's not a perfect movie. For me, it was a 9 out of 10.
You hear "Doom" in a Marvel movie and y'all are excited making countless videos about it
9 out of 10 times i prefer the sequel/s to the original
I hate people act like all the movies before endgame were 10/10. No there was so many mediocre movies that came out and everyone seems to forget about it.
Whilst I think the odds of this movie making a $1 billion are likely, there are few things to consider that may mean it is not a guarantee.
- Will the humor and jokes translate well internationally into other languages ? Comedies or movies that rely on humor often do not do as well overseas for this reason.
(However the presence of big stars like Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds that helps movies overseas counld counter this)
- How will this movie do in China?
How do you make a Spider-Man movie that's not R-rated or close to it if you add Deadpool? Because I was not digging the PG-13 version of Deadpool
“Don’t worry about Logan, we’re not touching that”
Same buddy the super fans are really happy to have something but this was basically MOM again nostalgia bait
I'll go see it once the hype starts down but tbf I've had enough of the Deadpool shtick. Love Jackman, like Reynolds tho.
Alright see ya later!! 😂 the gravy train definitely doesn’t need you 😅
What movie was I watching I thought this was one of the worse mcu movies. Thank God Levy isn't doing Avengers. I thought it dragged action scenes where mid at best and most of the jokes were corny. But I'm glad others enjoyed it. I think Marvel still has a long way to go before there back.
I really think Deadpool has a replay ability but JOKER 2 might be one and done….so I think DEADPOOL will win out in box office
Honestly you make fair points
@@marcakins3373 Yeah this was a fun film and Id recommend it especially to comic book nerds like myself...I'm probably the select few people who caught everything in that Wolverine montage and maybe its because Im the same age as Ryan Reynolds I can remember things like Puck or the Age of Apocalypse story fondly...but that being said I wouldn't oversell this movie to people either... Referencing something isn't the same as experiencing that thing for the first time. Cameos are like a one time magic trick.
Very true, I totally agree….you can not keep going back to the “remember berries “
I am glad this was made but we need to see innovation and better stories that are integrated into larger connected projects…this feels like an impossible task but that the secret sauce called Hollywood magic….if that makes any sense
if Feige got to travel back in time, i hope he'll....
wipe out the entire Phase FOUR and redo them, except for No Way Home.
