I gave it 7.5. My favorite post-endgame movie was No Way Home. But Deadpool was a fun popcorn flick. Mostly enjoyed the references to pop culture and industry.
Came here to say the same thing. Guardians 3 was by certainly a better movie. D&W was more enjoyable to me than no way home... Which had plot holes, graphic issues with the people in the sky, couple of cameos I found boring including maybe the biggest Star to cameo in Fox.... But it made sense. But, no way home was still probably a better movie given the obvious stakes that are in the universe we know. But still enjoyed Deadpool 3 more. Didn't hate Cassandra, but they should've improved her role. I truly would have actually enjoyed her more if she just stayed in the void... Then let the TVA take lead.. The Cameo spoiled and trailer was a big mistake by marvel. That Cameo wasn't really a cameo, it was a role And it would have been the most impactful surprise of the entire movie had it been a surprise
The reason THAT cameo was revealed was because that actor really wanted to go to the premiere and it would've been revealed anyway if that happened, so they decided to include them in the latest trailer becasue they tought there were A LOT of things to reveal anyway so it wouldn't matter.
Also, Disney pushed for that because the first 2 trailers were action/comedy based, and Disney mandated a more emotional-based trailer with that character. Feige disagreed with revealing that in the trailer at first but eventually gave in since there were already so many other cameos.
I still think that's kind of a BS excuse just because they wanted to show her to get even more discussion about this movie on social media. If she was at the premiere and they didn't put it in the trailer, who cares? Just allow her to go. All that does is raise speculation and excitement for her potentially returning.
I think thats such a bad excuse honestly. There'd be a million excuses to explain why she was at the premiere/barely anyone pays attention to premieres anyway.
I'm so glad I grew up in the era I did and still appreciate the experience of going to see a movie in a theater. It's a totally different experience watching at home, because a movie on my tv has to compete with my phone/tablet/laptop. You lose that total sense of immersion being in a theater when you're watching at home and I feel really sorry that today's kids just don't comprehend that.
Yeah i agree, even though i was let down by certain aspects of this film, watching at home would of been such a different experience..certain films loose the effect you get over a theatre experience when watching just at home..i think this would be one...i know many that dont get to see films anymore and just catch on streaming apps which is a shame as Christopher Nolan is right, some films are designed for the big screen theatre experience...
It makes no sense for channels like this. It’s for channels to at need ti keep the viewer who may be coming to their channel for the first time. But even then it’s dumb.
Not complaining. Just think it’s unnecessary like when trailers have that little 5 sec intro that’s like “And now the new trailer for…” just seems a little redundant
Totally agree with roxy film was fantastic best mcu film since nowayhome beaming with joy when the film finished Hugh jackman stole the show with out doubt highly recommended
I'm with Roxy, I loved this movie. I think Kristian's score is fair, but I give it a 9.5/10. I do think its the best since Endgame. My wife, isn't a comic book or cbm fan at all and she came with me and liked it too. So you don't need to watch everything. I saw someone say you NEED to watch Loki season 1 and 2 in order to understand this. No you don't. My wife didn't even know Loki had a show and she understood it. lol
I'm from Australia and I really liked the movie but I left my lights on while I was in the theatre and my battery went flat. There was a really nice woman who had some jumper cables and helped me. With the movie and the flat battery on my mind I forgot to even ask her name but she was a life saver and she seemed really nice to talk to. On the off chance she reads this, thanks heaps for the help! Would love to have another conversation with her. 💯
Saw it earlier. No spoilers but I’d say no. GOTG Vol.3 I feel is stronger same with NWH. Yes the cameos were big and shocking and fun/funny but it had a good heart and I really did enjoy the film and what it had to say about Marvel films from the 2000’s, the multiverse and friendship as a whole. Hugh Jackman in my opinion stole the show. He was the best part of the film, an incredible performance who when he had the yellow and blue Wolverine costume it genuinely felt like the comic book character come to life. I felt like honestly it had so many things that it wanted to say but for I felt it didn’t click all the way. I would’ve preferred to be “in order to matter we need to help others matter equally” and that was kind of there but not fully there

So, be careful here as well. And regarding the film. It was everything I hoped for. I even had the major cameos spoiled, and it didn't change anything. They worked so well in the story. They actually had roles. It was spectacular. I can't wait to see it again tomorrow. I'm not saying it's perfect. It had some jokes that were meh. But the things I didnt love as much, were far surpassed by the countless things I did love. I truly don't see how anyone could dislike the film. Yes, it's subjective. But as a whole. Unless you're just being a grifter or set absurd unrealistic expectations everyone should really like it.

And they thought they needed to put some emotional stakes in the trailer to show its not all a comedy. I don't agree. They shouldn't have shown her. But at the end of the day. Not a big deal. And it's awesome you didn't have most of them spoiled. As I said. I did. But even then, it was just as exciting seeing them. It didn't bother me whatsoever.

Good question Brett, and I agree that character was my favorite reveal and very important to the story, and I saw it in a trailer. Seeing the character if you know the history I didn't think was gonna show up was great and to see them be that character in action was great as well. Glad I didn't know.
About your movie conversation, I'm one who loves going to the movies. When I'm home I'm always watching some sort of sporting events or you get distracted by the phone, so I love the idea of going to the theater and having to put your phone away and losing yourself for 2 to 3 hours
Great flick, saw it last night. I thought the fight scenes and all the little comedic jabs played well together. The cameos were both serious and clever. I did think the last 10 minutes at the end started to get lame. The Fox tribute showing all the clips through the years were a nice touch
I think the only projects that matter and are worth watching after Endgame (in my opinion) is Spider Man NWH, Loki, GOTG3, and Deadpool/Wolverine. You can (and honestly should) absolutely disregard the rest.
The movie is on par with No Way Home, great fun movie with fun surprises, super violent action scenes that are well choreographed (props to the stunt team), some heart felt moments, but overall a good solo adventure with a few of Marvels “problems”
Deadpool 3 is great fun watch. I still think guardians 3 and Wakanda Forever are the best are best post Endgame movies, but I put Deadpool 3 is on par with No Way Home Spider-Man.
I'd put it somewhere in the middle of the top tier with Guardians, No Way Home, Black Widow and Shang-chi. (Werewolf by Night is TV, but as a stand-alone movie it might be first) Then the mids-- Far from Home, Dr. Strange, Wakanda, Marvels, Antman. Then the Eternals, then Thor.

Apparently they spoiled that character in the last trailer because the person playing them wanted to go to the premiere, and they didn’t want to spoil it on the red carpet, so they put it in the trailer.

My niece is 14 and she likes to go to the movies and mostly watch horror movies. It’s not a generation thing, it’s a personal thing. It depends on the person. Movies won’t die anytime soon.
Not the best movie since Endgame. The action and comedy is top teir but the plot is messy and their are moments that lack adequate explanation. Still great but doesn't get in my top 10 MCU personally.
Right? For me the best since end game has been guardians 3 and then Shang chi. No way home was also loose in plot but cool, I definitely prefer this over no way home but this is definitely not the best since endgame
Deadpool doesn't really care about a well laid out story with an multi dimensional villain. Then all the characteristics of Deadpool is gone. It had a plot that it was enough to keep going and as far as MCU projects. This actually ranks top 5 for me. Among Infinity war civil war

Just getting home from watching Deadpool and wolverine. It didn't live up to all the hype (Especially the end credits) but still a very good movie and a live letter to all the fans of the Fox/marvel movies.
You have to work on the lighting. Only Roxy was properly lit - like a Kubrick film - bright and crystal clear!. "DP&W" was fun but slight entertainment; as one would expect, the humor and pathos hit deepest depending upon one's familiarity with the characters and the universe they inhabit. So, in that respect, it's appeal may be limited mostly, if not exclusively, to devoted Marvel fans. But despite the frequent "insider" fan service, the character dynamics of the two leads somehow managed to remain front and center. I'll give it a "B," but only because I got most of the meta in jokes and the buddy humor surprisingly hit home more often than not.
I was shocked that this guy and his wife brought in his sons who both were like 5 or 6 years old. TBH, I saw a lot of elementary school age kids. Some of the references and language were a little harsh for kids these young.
You all are hilarious love this show 🎉 Roxy slow horses is a slow burn but it gets to where you want to know at the end what the crap is happening at the end of each show👍
I agree, I think the weakest part was the villain. With the movie being a love letter to Fox, I think it would've been super cool if the villain was Legion instead

Kevin Feige has said why that cameo got revealed in the last trailer. They really wanted to go to The premiere and was told no bc it would be a spoiler so they decided to go ahead and spoil it so they could go to the premiere
This is a genuine question. I always thought trailers were handled by a separate company to Marvel so...would the cameo in the final trailer have to be signed off by Kevin and/or Ryan? Also, are trailers allowed to have false images/scenes shown due to a recent court case? I know from memory that famous scene in Infinity Wars trailer regarding the battle in Wakanda that didn't happen.

Seeing Saturday afternoon and am totally boosted for the film. I don't really care too much about spoilers because I will most likely forget because of my Multiple Sclerosis. Basically I'm like Multiple Man from X-Men.
Just saw the movie!..and let’s be honest..we’re in a world where streaming has made people lazy to go to the movies!..so now..when people are in the movies they want instant Thrill….meaning as SOON as the movie starts….They have to be wowed!..in the first 25 minutes you don’t get that!…That being said!.. The pacing is VERY slow in the first 25 minutes of the movie!..when deadpool finally meets wolverine!..the movie is PERFECT!… But, after the slow pacing of the first 25 minutes…the audience is already turned off!..ME? I loved the movie when Wolverine comes into the movie!..I LOVED the villain!..NOW!..do I think their could’ve been some deleted scenes? Yes!..example..Every scene with “Nice deadpool” should be deleted…those scenes were a waste of time!.. I’ll leave it at that!..would I watch this movie again? No!..it’s a Saturday morning movie!..but greatly executed…does that make sense?!.lol!..

DP&W was good enough, a bit disappointing (for me). I thought the story and the villain were pretty weak. My feeing going into it was the film needed to be worthy of bringing HJ back as Wolverine and it wasn’t. But I have different tastes with the MCU to most people, (Eternals is my favourite MCU film) so it’s all good. #MakeEternals2Happen
I don't know what my chances of being able to see Deadpool 3 will be this weekend since I'm sure it'll be crowded and sold out, but if I don't get to, I'll have to skip the spoiler discussion next week. The internet is gonna be a minefield of spoilers. I agree it'll make a billion easy and I'm glad. Marvel needs a big hit again. As far as young people's relationship to movie theaters, I have to disagree. I see them all the time at the theater. Roxy's right, it has nothing to do with Gen Z or phones. Some people just aren't into it and it's always been that way. I remember as a kid, so many people saying they'll wait for a movie to be on Pay Per View or video or DVD. Theater attendance being down today is mainly due to high ticket and concession prices and short release windows between theaters and VOD and streaming. Lower the prices and lengthen release windows and more people will go. As far as Roxy's TV picks, I'm a big Cobra Kai fan, so I've already seen the first 5 episodes this season. Presumed Innocent looks interesting, but it may be a while before I get to it. Same thing with Slow Horses. The Man With 1000 Kids seems like something I should watch, but I have a feeling it'll just piss me off. However, I'm glad to hear that asshole sperm donor is facing the consequences of his actions and that the government is trying to make what he's doing illegal. It's a public health hazard at this point. And that BBQ story was hilarious lol.
I'm surprised Roxy didn't talk about The Mole Season 2 on Netflix. She talked about Season 1 a couple years ago. I was disappointed with Season 1 after waiting over 14 years for the show to come back. I just resubscribed to Netflix last week for Cobra Kai, but I've been watching other stuff and keep putting The Mole off for later.

The movie is on par with No Way Home, great fun movie with fun surprises, super violent action scenes that are well choreographed (props to the stunt team), some heart felt moments, but overall a good solo adventure with a few of Marvels “problems”

Deadpool 3 is great fun watch. I still think guardians 3 and Wakanda Forever are the best are best post Endgame movies, but I put Deadpool 3 is on par with No Way Home Spider-Man.
After having just seen the movie, Yes! For sure the best since Endgame. I loved No Way Home and Guardians 3 but this was just next level.
I really hope this was Brett being funny, but when he said "optional illusion" after saying he says things wrong, I was rolling.

I'd put it somewhere in the middle of the top tier with Guardians, No Way Home, Black Widow and Shang-chi. (Werewolf by Night is TV, but as a stand-alone movie it might be first) Then the mids-- Far from Home, Dr. Strange, Wakanda, Marvels, Antman. Then the Eternals, then Thor.

enjoyed the film! would give it a 8/10 and i think the best mcu movie since endgame might be Vol 3 for me. don’t think it’s a perfect movie but respect the multiverse touch again
Apparently they spoiled that character in the last trailer because the person playing them wanted to go to the premiere, and they didn’t want to spoil it on the red carpet, so they put it in the trailer.

My niece is 14 and she likes to go to the movies and mostly watch horror movies. It’s not a generation thing, it’s a personal thing. It depends on the person. Movies won’t die anytime soon.

Not the best movie since Endgame. The action and comedy is top teir but the plot is messy and their are moments that lack adequate explanation. Still great but doesn't get in my top 10 MCU personally.
Who cares about the plot/story, just give us action, comedy and all the cameos 😆

Deadpool doesn't really care about a well laid out story with an multi dimensional villain. Then all the characteristics of Deadpool is gone. It had a plot that it was enough to keep going and as far as MCU projects. This actually ranks top 5 for me. Among Infinity war civil war

Just getting home from watching Deadpool and wolverine. It didn't live up to all the hype (Especially the end credits) but still a very good movie and a live letter to all the fans of the Fox/marvel movies.
You have to work on the lighting. Only Roxy was properly lit - like a Kubrick film - bright and crystal clear!. "DP&W" was fun but slight entertainment; as one would expect, the humor and pathos hit deepest depending upon one's familiarity with the characters and the universe they inhabit. So, in that respect, it's appeal may be limited mostly, if not exclusively, to devoted Marvel fans. But despite the frequent "insider" fan service, the character dynamics of the two leads somehow managed to remain front and center. I'll give it a "B," but only because I got most of the meta in jokes and the buddy humor surprisingly hit home more often than not.

I was shocked that this guy and his wife brought in his sons who both were like 5 or 6 years old. TBH, I saw a lot of elementary school age kids. Some of the references and language were a little harsh for kids these young.
I think it is my best since NWH. I think Levy and Ryan did an excellent job with fan service. Like I said my best use of fan service since NWH.

I agree, I think the weakest part was the villain. With the movie being a love letter to Fox, I think it would've been super cool if the villain was Legion instead
Sometimes i feel like Kristian is pretty checked out towards the end of these episodes lol. The Man with 1000 kids sounded like a crazy show and he didn't say one word about it

Kevin Feige has said why that cameo got revealed in the last trailer. They really wanted to go to The premiere and was told no bc it would be a spoiler so they decided to go ahead and spoil it so they could go to the premiere

This is a genuine question. I always thought trailers were handled by a separate company to Marvel so...would the cameo in the final trailer have to be signed off by Kevin and/or Ryan? Also, are trailers allowed to have false images/scenes shown due to a recent court case? I know from memory that famous scene in Infinity Wars trailer regarding the battle in Wakanda that didn't happen.
I heard that X-23 (Dafne) wanted to go the Premiere so they released her in the trailer, so she could attend.

Just saw the movie!..and let’s be honest..we’re in a world where streaming has made people lazy to go to the movies!..so now..when people are in the movies they want instant Thrill….meaning as SOON as the movie starts….They have to be wowed!..in the first 25 minutes you don’t get that!…That being said!..
The pacing is VERY slow in the first 25 minutes of the movie!..when deadpool finally meets wolverine!..the movie is PERFECT!…
But, after the slow pacing of the first 25 minutes…the audience is already turned off!..ME? I loved the movie when Wolverine comes into the movie!..I LOVED the villain!..NOW!..do I think their could’ve been some deleted scenes? Yes!..example..Every scene with “Nice deadpool” should be deleted…those scenes were a waste of time!..
I’ll leave it at that!..would I watch this movie again? No!..it’s a Saturday morning movie!..but greatly executed…does that make sense?!.lol!..

DP&W was good enough, a bit disappointing (for me). I thought the story and the villain were pretty weak. My feeing going into it was the film needed to be worthy of bringing HJ back as Wolverine and it wasn’t. But I have different tastes with the MCU to most people, (Eternals is my favourite MCU film) so it’s all good. #MakeEternals2Happen
I don't know what my chances of being able to see Deadpool 3 will be this weekend since I'm sure it'll be crowded and sold out, but if I don't get to, I'll have to skip the spoiler discussion next week. The internet is gonna be a minefield of spoilers. I agree it'll make a billion easy and I'm glad. Marvel needs a big hit again. As far as young people's relationship to movie theaters, I have to disagree. I see them all the time at the theater. Roxy's right, it has nothing to do with Gen Z or phones. Some people just aren't into it and it's always been that way. I remember as a kid, so many people saying they'll wait for a movie to be on Pay Per View or video or DVD. Theater attendance being down today is mainly due to high ticket and concession prices and short release windows between theaters and VOD and streaming. Lower the prices and lengthen release windows and more people will go. As far as Roxy's TV picks, I'm a big Cobra Kai fan, so I've already seen the first 5 episodes this season. Presumed Innocent looks interesting, but it may be a while before I get to it. Same thing with Slow Horses. The Man With 1000 Kids seems like something I should watch, but I have a feeling it'll just piss me off. However, I'm glad to hear that asshole sperm donor is facing the consequences of his actions and that the government is trying to make what he's doing illegal. It's a public health hazard at this point. And that BBQ story was hilarious lol.

I'm surprised Roxy didn't talk about The Mole Season 2 on Netflix. She talked about Season 1 a couple years ago. I was disappointed with Season 1 after waiting over 14 years for the show to come back. I just resubscribed to Netflix last week for Cobra Kai, but I've been watching other stuff and keep putting The Mole off for later.
I finished the mole weeks ago and talked about it on my show and OSA.
