11:00 It uses ground to start. The 12V you measure is going directly thru the starter relais. The same as old school headlight switch. There is continuous 12V on the bulb but it won't light up because the other side is not connected to ground because of the switch. If you measure on the switch side (light off), you also get 12V (the light acts as a normal wire with your multimeter).
I was coming to say the same thing... The 12V is coming though the starter windings and only starts spinning once there is a difference in potential on either side. So grounding the wire gives 0v and 12v so spinny things happen :)

What a machine! I could see something like this taking off as a commercial product. Having grown up on farms and in the wilderness I can really appreciate how useful something like this can be. All the benefit of a small truck with all the practicality of a 6 wheeler for off-road use. This build knocked it out of the park! It deserves a proper paint job and bodywork, maybe a slick Grind Hard wrap!

I can see this becoming one of your most Iconic builds ever, just cause you'll probably get the most use out of it. I'd say give it the full strength and paint treatment, and maybe add a few more creature comforts and such to make it the ultimate grind hard utility vehicle. Also, there's a ton a of space between the front and rear wheels for a toolbox or something while your making the skid plates.
Put a plow/ front bucket mount on the truck! If you mount a pulling hock on it also, you could make a puchbar from that to the front under the truck . Mount attachment to that . So you dont sque the frame when plowing. Do it so you have a standard Mount on the front so you can use the same base for different tools.
That's how Linus started off. It's only recently he's really started taking his NAS systems seriously. It's quite easy to make a good NAS without going to the extremes LTT do.
This vehicle merge is incredible! I have a Polaris Ranger and my biggest bitch is the quality of the factory cab. Your melding of the two vehicles is truly the perfect outcome. Just a thought, instead of dicking around with the Polaris motor as heat source for the cab, I put in a cheap ass diesel heater from Amazon and it reliably produces tons of thermstaticall controlled heat. About $100 US. Congrats on the build!

I was in South east Asia,Laos, up north, Luang Prabang, for 3 mo. and saw hundreds of sm. minis, . A taxi is cheap, yet is rated for # of people. That pickup gets customized, for 8 people , open air, seats and cushions and handles. Mid size pickup is the largest and all run on diesel.
You can make those copper wiring eyelits yourself if you have some copper tubing lying around. Just cramp one end, drill a hole through it cut it off and there you go works great
This just beat any mini truck hype too date since they became popular. Not only cause it looks awesome. It's actual functionality as well just tops it off.
I've come across the same issues with terrible stock bushings and a blown up front differential on my 2015 900 rzr. Garage Products made bushings which have lasted 5 times longer than the orginals and counting. I went with the SuperATV upgraded cast front differential as the full billet one was trick, but out of my budget. I am very happy with the upgraded diff, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their non-repairable stock front diff. Hopefully, yours is repairable and just broke the plastic sprage cage and didn't take out the electromagnet, which engages it. I was not so fortunate

Btw the holes in the body with the rubber plugs are there so paint can get in when it's initially painted at the factory. It then gets plugged so water stays out.
You guys need a NAS and editing server. Let's collaborate and set that up because data will get lost when you rely on a bunch of those SSDs for long term data storage and frequent use.
This machine would be great for making food and supply deliveries to isolated rural communities, especially in the north. Really cool and nimble little rig!
the reason you get 12 volts is because it is feeding from the positive side of the circuit through the coil looking to go to ground to complete the circuit

I believe Toyota use to reverse the relays too. Constant power, but earthed to switch it on. ( 70's and 80's, Australian models)

the reason you get 12 volts is because it is feeding from the positive side of the circuit through the coil looking to go to ground to complete the circuit
