Beautiful pieces but way too tight, which ruins the appearance of the skirt. Horizontal pulls across the hips shout too tight, and get a larger size.

This style of skirt is called a dropped-waist skirt. It is fitting as designed,

I found a short sleeve black sweater at Goodwill. I couldn't figure out why the fabric felt so soft and luxurious. Until I read the label. Talbot - made in ITALY. My treasure.
The fabric makes all the difference, that is for sure.
Nice styles. The A skirt examples though, as a sewer, were more on the circular skirt index or semi-circular with yoke.

As a shorter woman 5 foot tall a number of these styles just do not work for me. Maxi skirts are the worst along with calf hemmed skirts. Pencil skirts are not something I have ever liked. Too tight. You didn’t mention a flip skirt. Thanks for your videos. I love your channel.

If your skirt has to crease and you have to pull it down, it not a good fit for you at all at any age. Sorry to say it’s not elegant.
