@@TVguyDarko still weird, I already used this tv over half a year but suddenly its switchsto this other bandwith but didden't know what it was. and I was looking through all the picture setting over and over again, I felt really stuppid as someone who is a professional video editor for over 8 years xD so thx again for the great help! ;D
if i'm not mistaken the 7505 has an va panel, and not an ips screen. Also i believe that the 7505 has backlight in stead of edgelit. in that case i think that the panels are to different from one another to compare those in the settings.
Pozdrav Darko. Sve telke kući nastojikm imati kalibrirane,nažalost za Philips 58 inčni 8505 nemam. Jer nekako ISF Day ili Night uz manje tweakove dosta pomaže..Ali konkretno ,najbolji pokazatelj mi je Star Trek Voyager na Netflixu.Kod njega pri tamnim scenama imam najviše artefakata,tipa nepravilni pravokutnici na crnim scenama svemira ili odora..Znam da nije naj idealnija kvaliteeta ni samog materijala ali na ostalim telkama doma,taj problem nema,a isti cjenovni razred ili bolje naravno ( 3 komada)... Našao sam na AVS Forumu podešenja jednog od korisnika ali ne znam da li je to njegov preferirani ili je imao uređaje,jer i sa tim, imam sličan problem. Ok , prihvaćam, možda tv jednostavno i ne može bolje, ali ako imaš kakav savjet ili slično, bio bih jao zahvalan.Inače cijenim rad, jer Vas nema puno.Jedino tebe i Vinnie Teoh-a gledam :D
Bok Finta! Kompresijski artefakti se kontroliraju s opcijom Sharpness (ako je previsoka previse se isticu), odnosno s MPRG NR (nije uvijek ucinkovita, no moze malo ublaziti). Isto tako trebalo bi vidjeti kako su Black level i Gamma podeseni, mozda imaju neka odstupanja pa se ti artefakti dodatno uocavaju…

I'm playing ps4 pro on 70pus8505 and I'm not quite satisfied, almost for every game I must change picture settings... Example AC Valhalla it's looking much better whit HDR off, but God of War and TLOU2 its looking incredible whit HDR bright... And whit RDR2 I'm totally lost ... Svakako su bolja opcija LG ili Samsung, kao sto sam naveo u recenziju ovog Philipsovog modela (odvojeni video). Od Samsunga pogledajte TU7002/TU7172 ili TU8002 serije, a od LG-ja takodjer serije 7 i 8 (UN7000 itd.). LG ima bolje boje iz kuta sto je dobro ako imate vise pozicija za sjedenje oko TV-a, dok Samsung ima veci kontrast panela no uzi kut gledanja pa je bolji za filmove i serije ako cete sjediti direktno ispred TV-a.

Hi. I've just got a Philips 8556 and the built in Amazon prime app forces HDR content. I have adjusted the settings but find that any areas that are not quite dark enough to be black look grey and it's horrible. The image is really off putting but when adjusting settings whilst content is playing it seems that it's not a fault of the TV but potentially the content from Amazon prime itself. I haven't tried watching prime via an external source yet but wondered if you had any experience?

43pus7505..???How to fix the red tone in SDR mode, which is shifted closer to crimson (because of this, the color of explosions, fire, skin, desert tends to pink), it cannot be corrected by setting the white balance. in HDR mode and in monitor mode, the tone is perfectly balance.
Hi, I've recently purchased device Philips 65PUS8545. I'm having difficulty setting up the picture style... On HDMI input I have TV box connected and I'm satisfied with the style of picture... Since my TV is Andrid it has Netflix application installed. Now, this picture style that I'm having on HDMI is not applying to Netflix (which plays directly from TV) please can you help me solve this issue Some of the offered presets having options "apply to all inputs"... I tried to use this but with no satisfaction result. Can you please advice... Thank you
Hi Marko - even though your TV is running Android TV, still you should be able to select the best performing picture preset in Netflix. Do you have Movie picture mode available while watching content on Netflix? If not, which picture modes are available? Related to applying settings to all inputs, this copies adjustments from one input to all other - e.g. if you tweak Movie mode on HDMI 1, the changes will apply to Movie modes on all other inputs.
Default is 50 and I raise it to 70 to get more saturated colors. The issue is that there is no CMS so for example green is not going to its target but more towards yellow, so it is an issue to raise it even higher.

Hey Matt - for sure some controls are the same - like Video Contrast, Brightness and so on. You will probably have more controls like 10 (or 20) white balance controls, color management system and so on. What are your thoughts so far on this Philips OLED TV?
@@TVguyDarko my particular oled has same level of white balance control as this tv. This tv uses Philips' 1st gen p5 processor, mine is 2nd gen. Could I use these colour settings to get an accurate picture? With oled I don't think I need to pump the saturation up too much.
Friend, is this a joke? I bought the settings but I don't see the color settings or the settings at 20 points, only normal settings that you could find in any video or website, buy this to compare all the settings not just the basic ones!
As we discussed, no point in copying WB and color value from unit to unit. Instead, I give recommendations that are universal and are the best thing if you do not plan to do a true calibration with equipment.
HDR na ovom modelu je neispravan. Slika je isprana na bilo kom HDR sadrzaju. Problem je prisutan na vise Filips modela. Ja vise necu kupiti Filips u zivotu.
@@harbinger200 Ovaj Philips ima IPS ekran za koji sam mnogo puta rekao da nije adekvatan ni za SDR, a kamoli HDR. No svakako probajte postavke slike mijenjati, mozda uspijete malo poboljsati.

Imam 43PUS7906/12 - najveće govno od TV-a ikad. Ne pomaže tu nikakva kalibracija, šrot ostaje šrot. Na tavanu imam starog Full HD Grundiga VLC7121C - 100% bolja slika od ovog poluproizvoda.

the contrast mode u should set to normal as its part of the P5 processing

Backlight type is the hardware - settings control the software part and the processing which is mutual on all those TVs.

Pozdrav Sensei - glavna razlika je sto 7805 model ima Ambilight sto po meni vrijedi dodatnih 300 kn. Sve ostalo je isto.

Absolutely a good starting point, full calibration would add accuracy to white balance and tweak other available controls.

Even with the HDMI input set to "Optimal", this TV can't play HDR 10 bit 60 Hz because it is HDMI 2.0 only.... What a shame on Philips, TBH.
My 9006 has different hdmi on different ports (2.0/2.1)have you checked the version of each hdmi imput?
But for gaming with xbox series x that supports dolby vision... Isn't it better to have dolby vision gaming than hdr?

You need to play HDR content in order to see HDR settings. This is how it is on all TVs.

When you change them they will stay like that. Just check that they are modified for all the inputs that you use.

Hey Matt - for sure some controls are the same - like Video Contrast, Brightness and so on. You will probably have more controls like 10 (or 20) white balance controls, color management system and so on. What are your thoughts so far on this Philips OLED TV?

@@TVguyDarko my particular oled has same level of white balance control as this tv. This tv uses Philips' 1st gen p5 processor, mine is 2nd gen. Could I use these colour settings to get an accurate picture? With oled I don't think I need to pump the saturation up too much.
Friend, is this a joke? I bought the settings but I don't see the color settings or the settings at 20 points, only normal settings that you could find in any video or website, buy this to compare all the settings not just the basic ones!
As we discussed, no point in copying WB and color value from unit to unit. Instead, I give recommendations that are universal and are the best thing if you do not plan to do a true calibration with equipment.
I picked up a 58PUS7855 a few months ago and I'm still struggling to get a good picture on the thing...the blacks are just awful.

HDR na ovom modelu je neispravan. Slika je isprana na bilo kom HDR sadrzaju. Problem je prisutan na vise Filips modela. Ja vise necu kupiti Filips u zivotu.
Ovo je problem svih televizora niske i srednje klase koji podrzavaju HDR jer nemaju adekvatan hardver da prikazu HDR u punom rasponu svjetline.
@@TVguyDarko Imam jeftin FOX LED TV na kome HDR radi normalno bez ispranosti. Nema problem koji Filips ima. Filips je postao gori of noname TV-a.
@@harbinger200 Ovaj Philips ima IPS ekran za koji sam mnogo puta rekao da nije adekvatan ni za SDR, a kamoli HDR. No svakako probajte postavke slike mijenjati, mozda uspijete malo poboljsati.
@@TVguyDarko Imam model sa VA panelom, verovatno je jos gori od IPS. Nema pomoci, probao sam sve. Jednom su me zajebali, sledeci put nosim HDR film u prodavnicu.
Imam 43PUS7906/12 - najveće govno od TV-a ikad. Ne pomaže tu nikakva kalibracija, šrot ostaje šrot. Na tavanu imam starog Full HD Grundiga VLC7121C - 100% bolja slika od ovog poluproizvoda.
