      Yeah, we looked up schist villages online to find more of them yet they're not easily identifiable in web searches.

    Is there any public transportation that goes to Talasnal?

    • @DiscoveringDestinations
      @DiscoveringDestinations  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, hope you are doing well. Unfortunately we are not totally sure if there is a public transportation direct to Talasnal. Also depends in which region of Portugal you are, we believe the easiest way to get to Coimbra first, where you could go by train from Lisbon for example, and then find out a public transport to get to the village of Lousã, and after you are in Lousã they could give you further information in how to get to Talasnal or nearby villages by local public transport. We still believe the best way of visiting Talasnal for visitors is with a rental car, then you will be able to explore more the area and villages around, but getting to Coimbra they could also help you out with further information about public transport for sure. Good luck and Great trip! 😍📸

    Vacationing in portugal from 11/15 11/28 also renting a car in Lisbon. Would you have any itinerary suggestions? Saving Lisbon for last as flying out from there. Thx

      Hi Dave! Thanks for reaching out. Great question. We were there for a similar amount of time and managed to spend 4-5 days in Lisbon, drive to Fatima, Coimbra, Talasnal. We then spent a few days in Porto. In hindsight we would have loved staying longer to visit Aveiro, Guimaraes and forts in the north. Feel free to check out the Marvão area where you will find Medieval cities built on top of hills. If you're looking for a bit of beach and sun, we think you can still get some decent temperature in the Algarve. You might like Carvoeiro for the caves, Algar Seco for the rustic beach front hike, Lagos for the series of beaches. Oh and on your way back to Lisbon, you can check out Evora, Sintra or Cascais.. Too many places and not enough time, but we're sure you'll pick the top spots for you.
      Feel free to check out some of our other videos from Portugal and reaching out again if you have more questions!
      Cheers,
      Serge & Lia

    Is it possible to go to Talasnal by camping car ? Thks you

      Hello Thierry, sorry for delay. Well, the uphill road that leads us to the village of Talasnal is quite narrow, but we believe it would be possible to drive there with a camping car, especially if it's of medium size camping car. However, it might be challenging to park upon reaching the village since the parking area is not very spacious. You can actually see the parking area at the beginning of our video - th-cam.com/video/p7zjhkw8sIA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7CuNW8pfpRsq3Hot&t=48. But there are some Camping around the Schist villages, maybe you could contact some of them in order to get further information about "Camping cars" ... here is link as suggestions - www.jetcamp.com/en/uk/historical-building-or-site/talasnal-schist-villages/. Let us know if you could get around and Hope you have a great trip!
