- I love the characters in this series. They are written like human beings: they learn and grow through different experiences and change their views in some important ways, but ultimately they stay as the people they are, not losing their strongest tendencies and ways they behave. As I got to know them over time, the experience cumulatively became better and better, continuously expanding to larger scale but still staying rock-solid consistent, never letting me down but also always offering new surprises about the characters' lives.
Despite the 3rd being fundamentally different from First Chapter and Second Chapter, the story doors in 3rd definitely have some of the best moments in the whole series. The investment in the earlier games greatly pays off here. So seriously, if you are interested in the game, start from First Chapter.
Awesome conclusion to an awesome series.
Can't wait to see Zero and Ao get translated.
Most emotional part for me simply because it was not only a goodbye to such a wonderful cast, but a goodbye to the Liberl arc. Falcom did not disappoint.

I’ve spent 300 plus hours with these characters in this arc. It is so sad to leave it behind. Zero releases next month though so I get to go back to this world

But the MC and the chars are not that good like the old Liberl Crew for me. (ok some old chars show up too = nice) but i miss being a bracer :(

Man, the sequence between Estelle and Ren always makes me really emotional. I played through the Vita version and finished it off just before this released, but XSeed did an excellent job with the localization, as always. I would definitely recommend checking out the ending on the Vita version as well, because the voice acting adds a nice layer to it, and Estelle's performance here in particular has a real weight to it.
Wait there’s voice acting in the vita version?! Why didn’t they release those on pc? Now I need to buy a vita. Hope it’s affordable
@@drowningin The voice work was provided by Chara-Ani, who released the Vita versions, which meant Falcom didn't have the rights to those additional voices. However, in the five years since I posted this, people have made mods for the PC version that incorporate the Vita voice files. You can find it pretty easily if you search around a little, and the mod is easy to install. I wouldn't recommend the Vita versions as anything more than a curiosity these days.

I have just finished the trilogy and must confess that is surely one of the best Rpgs that I have ever played. The characteres are too involving. Estelle is an example of girl with a tremendous charism so that along the three chapters she conquers us in a very deep way. Without any shame I must say I got very emotional and cried a little in the end of each chapter and.., of course, in this definite ending more yet. After I uninstall the game from my PC came to me a very strong feeling of longing, missing the game, the characteres, etc. Congratulations for ALL the production Crew of the game by Nihon Falcom! You did a Masterpiece!
i love how by the end of the trilogy i came to like EVERY character, even the villains.
In the beginning my most disliked character was Agate, however after seeing his character develop - especially with Tita - he quickly became one of my favourites
@@LordZelgadis1 that’s good writing to do that. I really loved every character in this trilogy.
I just realized now that the ending song is the same as the ost in the final cutscene. Falcom never dissappoints🔥😌
Thank you so much. This game was unstable on my computer, so I was able to beat the final boss, but couldn't make it very far into the cutscene without it crashing. Such a wonderful ending to a fantastic series.

But yeah, during their time with Sky, Zero-Azure, and Cold Steel. Falcom always did foreshadowing of future events brilliantly
You can see that from the ingame Books like Carnelia or Red Moon Rose, from dialogues of Major & Minor Characters & NPCs too
Although, the foreshadowing of future events in the more recent games (CS4, Reverie, Kuro) seems more simple, but hey it's still pretty great
Moral of the story: Major Vader should learn Olivier's sister to bring a wooden broom:D
Hard to believe that the question Olivier asked Schera was actually a proposal question. Well CSIV showed how that ended.

16 year later after trails in sky 3 relaease , in reverie we have the question solved in 1207 , almost 4 year later ( in game timeline ) , it's was so long to have the answer

Thanks for sharing! I got a bit burned out on the combat at the final boss fights and decided to skip, so this was an excellent way to get the story resolution. Cheers!

For the love of god, did Olivier propose to Schera off screen?! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. I've been noticing they have been spending a lot of time together throughout the series and even though Olivier acts coy to everyone I thought I noticed having a weak spot to Schera in particular. Please let my OTP come true Falcom.

I always thought Olivier was gay since he always makes flirty remarks to joshua and vander.
@@hyperiorv1379 i remember seeing 2 different end credits, one where they are married and one where they didn’t? Not sure if it is down to something that happens in the game to determine that?

The Sky trilogy of games are bar none the best RPGs I have ever played.
What an AMAZING job of writing (and localization)! The part where everyone is saying goodbyes is still making me tear up even months after I finished the game. I'm so disappointed that the writing in zero/ao is so cheesy and nowhere near as fluid as in sky (perhaps due to not localized properly?), completely wasting an otherwise good story. Hopefully I can get similar feels by the end of finish Cold Steel.
I don't know what versions you played but Zero and Ao don't have official translations. A lot of people played a machine translated Zero. I heard that current available Ao translation is better but not great. However, just recently, Geofront released a good quality fan translation for Zero. I haven't played it nor Ao yet.

I didn’t enjoy 3rd anywhere near as much as FC and SC but it was ok. I just finished it today which is why i am here, late to the party i guess but i only recently discovered this beautiful series. I truly loved the Trails In The Sky trilogy. I haven’t felt attachment to characters like this for a long time. It had some wonderful moments, emotional scenes, funny scenes especially from Estelle, each character even villains had something unique about them!
I am very sad it’s over. I hope one day they make another series of Liberl adventures with these characters coming back. I know they showed up in the latest cold steel game but would love more stories set in Liberl!
The only thing i’d say i was disappointed with here was i had hoped to see more of an ending showing what all the characters got up to after leaving that fantasy world

my gosh i love the first 2 entries in this series, but i was so dissapointed by this one, i stopped playing midway through. cliché storyline with boring twists and a rightout lazy leveldesign... no thank you
I quite enjoy this one. At first I didn't want to play the third since a lot of people said you don't have to play it but i decided to try anyway and boy what an experience it was. Yes the main story is being sidetracked til the last quarter of the game but the conclusion is perfect imo.
