you can use shift+r to capture whatever you played on your midi and it wasnt recording. also izotope has a great tool called music rebalance that, as the name implies can help you rebalance sounds in a audio, i use it to get acapellas from songs it works like charm, highly suggest it
You can now have logic automatically set the project BPM to match the audio region. Right click --> 'Apply region tempo to project tempo...' - The project tempo now matches region tempo. The option below that will make a region match the project BPM by detection the downbeats. Great for older songs that weren't often recorded in perfect timing.

depends on the genre of the song you wanna make. look that up and go from there each genre has its own speed!
