@@SimpsonsSpeedShop man, your little red Dart has been a real pleasure to see as it's come along. Mr. Wille has a very sweet shop setup. @Simpsons Speed Shop What's the story on that stealth headed big block sitting in front of the 71 Cuda racecar? It's an older video. Just rewatched it.
i built the 493 sold it and got a 526 steel crank and rods im putting lightened gas ported pistons in and having the assembly lightened and balanced im cryogenically treating the rotating assembly we found it makes a crank super strong!
Can't believe how the last pull the motor was sucking fuel out of the Squirter nozzles, thing needs a twin 1050 tunnel ram you'd make another 100 ,great video
I've seen one of them Ray Barton HEMIs in a 68 Dodge Power Wagon pickup, 471 Cubic Inches, pulled Pro Stock 4x4 trucks in NNY. Over 900HP, and use to listen to it hit 8800RPMS. They call it, Too Loose Nuts. The truck has been down for a few years, the Ray Barton is coming back....BIGGER. I got to give it credit, installed in 03 or 04 it ran untouched until an inspection 10 years later, and new crank bearings. Finally, couple years ago, a smug hot shot in another truck, throwing his money around, really pissed Tim off, broke the valve train at over 9200RPMS coming up on 300 Feet mark at a rapid pace, sled topped out. If he hadn't broke, we knew he would have smoked the Hot Shot asshole in the Chebby.
I have been working on building a stoked and bore 440 for some time now. Any information I get from others is really appreciated. Thanks for letting us in on dyno run.
Thanks for posting this. Have been a fan of Peter's Cuda for a while. I'm building a similar engine for my Road Runner. Will be backed by a Liberty 4 speed.
Awesome power and torque...! Can you find out what brand the valve covers are on the dyno engine and where they are available please. Thanks and keep the great video's coming.
I see he is running the Indy reverse flow waterpump setup , runs the water thru the heads first and out the block instead of the standard direction. I used that setup on a pump gas dyno shootout engine built to run in the PHR Enginemasters competition back in 2003 , 12.2 compression , alum heads on 91 octane gas... 469 cubes, 716HP
Very nice numbers. Do you think it would make a few more ponies with an airbell on it? In the topview clip there seemed to be quite some airflow disturbance going into the carb.

Really nice numbers, especially for a non-specialize head (not requiring special pistons, etc). Only issue I noticed was the oil pressure, started and finished in the 50s (51-58). I think there is a problem somewhere allowing oil pressure to bleed off, it should be building more pressure than that as it climbs rpm. Did you guys notice and address that after posting this dyno session?

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like maybe the heads are not hogged out as much as they could be in an Indy head to produce that HP at a lower RPM. The Indy heads might flow more but he might want to keep it at a certain level for more velocity and in that lower RPM power band.
