IMPORTANT UPDATES about downloading RsLogix 500 and other recommendations.
1. If you are wanting to learn to program Allen Bradley PLCs today then I now recommend using Rockwell Automation's Connected Components Workbench software for the Micro800. See our Allen Bradley Micro800 PLC training lessons at twcontrols.com/micro800-connected-components-workbench-lessons
2. Rockwell Automation has made some changes to their site but RsLogix Micro is still available for free, just search for RsLogix Micro. Then when you click select files, check "RSLogix Micro Starter Lite w/o RSLinx EN (8.30.00" and "RSLinx Classic Lite for Micrologix".

can i use RSLogix micro starter lite to program my Micrologix 1100?
Ever since we got some crazy wind mine is not tracking anymore. It stays at its starting point. No clue how to get it to work. Wish I could manually get it to move to a certain point and just leave it. Everything is working normal other than it not moving. My system has the micrologix 1400 along with the power flex

I can’t find microstarter lite and it’s not giving me an option between the download manager and a direct download, it’s making me use the manager and putting both files into one and I can’t even tell which is which

I cannot find RSLogix Micro Starter Lite anywhere for download. Did it change recently?

Micrologix 1400 fault led blinking and error code is 0001H. Is there any work around to clear the fault without reprogramming since I don't have backup of program.
No, there is no recovering, you will need the RSS file from the manufacturer to download the program again. Also check out your grounding, improper grounding can cause a Micrologix to clear it's program.

No, you will need a paid version. I believe standard.
I can't seem to even find those products on their website. I can find RsLogix micro but if I click on it for download it asks for a serial#. Am I doing something wrong or did I miss the boat on the free download?
Make sure you are selecting RsLogix 500 Micro Starter Lite. There is also a RsLogix 500 Micro Starter which does require a serial number.
Does this support micro 1200? I believe it stops at the 1100s
Correct, both are obsolete. The Micro800 is their replacement. Here is a video to download Connected Components Workbench

Hello I downloaded everything thing I sat up the rslogix micro English and rslinks but could not install the emulator I did all the installing steps fine and when I press finish I can’t find the installed app at all and tried to install it again and again but couldn’t manage to find the installed emulator. Can you please help me?
The emulator is a separate download but if you are just starting out then I would recommend using the CCW software and it's simulator. Here is a link to it.

All I get in rslogix micro starter lite is "diagnosticstatus failed: 0x10". PLEASE help me, I bought a micrologix 1100 17631763-L16bwa and downloaded the programs but cannot get it to work. My PLC instructor acted as if I was an idiot when I mentioned I bought a plc and downloaded these programs. He said it wont work and there isnt free software that works and he knows that's why he's the instructor. He wouldn't even hear me out that the internet is flooded with people who got it to work. I just want to get it to work so I can practice at home and learn more. If anyone can help I would totally appreciate it.
Are you connecting serially it over Ethernet? Can you see the PLC in RsLinx?
If serially, what status do you get when you click the auto configure button in the DF1 driver of RsLinx.
If Ethernet, what is the IP address of your PC and PLC?

I downloaded Rslogix micro but with win 10 it starts and crashes strait away anyone have any idea how to fix?
Ugh, that can be a difficult one to troubleshoot...
Right click on RSLogix Micro> Open file location> right click on "Rs500.exe"> Properties> Compatibility tab> check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:> select "Windows 7"> also check "Run this program as an administrator"

Actually I found it after Searching for about 5 min through all the menus but you have to create an account but after 4 or 5 attempts to set it up all I ended up with was an error message stating there was a error code 103 or something so I said forget it

@@TimWilborne Well I did find it on the site but after trying several times to register with no results I gave up. I kept getting an error message when setting up my account. so I just gave up. I am planning on purchasing an AB 100 controller but not gonna get it until i can program it. But yes i am still interested.

@@TimWilborne getting the program to start after the setup application. I re started the laptop and everything and it still would only install the application. I didnt see anywhere to start the program it self

Based on the clenched corners of Ambers mouth it would appear she’s not totally geeked out yet. Maybe some forced videos about programming while she’s tied to a chair in front of the monitor will help her “Come around”😉
