  • Driving the most beautiful stretch of road in New Zealand alone in my camper van. The road to Milford Sound is as much of an attraction as Milford itself. It's an unrelenting beauty you rarely experience elsewhere.
    Oh, and the lupines are blooming 🥲

    Nice work man! It is nice to see another filmmaker trying to make high quality content without making himself the centre of the universe. Subscribed!

    Nice cinematography bro but it's sad that most don't realize that Lupins (we call them that here-Lupines is the US spelling) are actually an aggressive introduced exotic weed that smothers braided riverbeds by growing in dense stands on bare gravel areas.
    Their long roots become entwined and hold the gravel together, forming stable areas. The river erodes the edges, creating steep banks. This restricts the water so that instead of braiding, it develops deep, fast-flowing channels, unsuitable for wading birds such as our rare and endangered birds like the Black fronted Tern and the Kaki or Black Stilt to feed in.
    Aotearoa/NZ is such a fragile place- I know it all looks wonderful and pristine to people who haven't been here before, but introduced species are destroying our native flora and fauna at an alarming rate- we actually have the most endangered species of any country in the world!

    Moving to Wanaka in a few months too! Your videos are making me incredibly excited for this experience. May I ask how you organised a house rental over there? Seems like a hard town to find places to live. Thanks so much 😃

      Definitely a hard town to find accommodation, but I would recommend joining the Wanaka house rentals FB group to find a place. Look at least a few months in advance for the best luck for winter

    beautiful! how inadvisable is it to fly drones in New Zealand?

    • @sofiabisso
      @sofiabisso 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not allowed on DOC land.

    • @kyle-kotajarvi
      @kyle-kotajarvi  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No drones in National Parks - especially Fiordland considering how many scenic flights go in and out of the Milford Airport
