Hello. I have a G3 but after I make all the same settings from ur video it feels like much more brown or should I say darker overall? Even on SDR is this the best sharp option? Feels brown or something like that
Yes, I have overall the same problem. Its the temp that makes the tv dirthy look, but its there anyways. Maybe it is a bad screen? Posted a question velow. Do you have a c3, size? Maybe it has to do with Primevideo, Netflix. You tube is better.
Personally I prefer 65-67 colour vibrancy, 95-100 contrast and warm/cold 0, I can't understand the industry, real life doesn't look like film maker mode
I had to turn the warmth down to about 30 instead of 50, and it looks better. My issue is the cool tones are perfect but the warm/whiter stuff is a little too warm/green. Still looks better than "standard" either way.

I really don't understand why all, but all, choose Warm 50 level, as long as, this setup gives a general yellowish color. Sky is yellow, subtitle is yellow, snow is yellow, everything has a yellow nuance. These are the real colors of everything that surrounds us??? in yellowish? I look around me, I look outside, on street, in nature, but I don't see the things being such yellowish as they are on the Tv screen with this "Warm 50" setted.
You’re just used to cool monitors making white look blue. Hold a sheet of printer paper next to the screen on a 100% white screen. They should be the same color, the display should not be bluer than the sheet of paper Once you use warm 50 for a few days you won’t be able to go back. White is its own LED on LG WRGB displays. The blue pixel should not be activated at all, which it is if you don’t use warm 50.
I followed the video every minute and I have a C3, but somethings weren't making sense there's only one filmmaker mode and when I made changes to it for STR I then had to change it for HDR movies, so how do I have a specific picture mode for different types of continents like movies and games if I'm using the same mode for all of them and any changes, I make apply to that mode

Thank you for this fantastic video! Do you have any resources about how to take the best care of the oled panel to avoid burn ins and other types of problems?
Just bought my LG C3 42" and was looking for some hints on calibration to use it as a monitor. In fact, I'm using it as the main monitor for a Mac Studio. Everybody thinks 120Hz is great for gaming, but it's great for the work environment too. Hope you will consider producing a new video specifically for that use. There are a couple of other videos about that on YT, but none of them is as clear and comprehensive as yours. There are hundreds of Mac/PC users interested in this and there's a big thread on Reddit so interest is there. Please help us :)
I just setup my G3 and I went straight to this video after watching it before. I "liked it" so I could find it later. My tv picture looks amazing! I have never seen a screen like that in my home. When I compare the out of book screen to what it is now after these changes it is night and day. Even my wife walked in and said, "I feel like I'm there." Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I really appreciate it. You should add your payment processor information and take donations. I do have a quick question, are these settings also best for a Roku UHD streaming stick?
Thanks! If you want to support my work, have a look at my Patreon page in the description (you'll find a lot more there too). About the Roku: yes, you can just use the same settings of webOS SDR/HDR/DV for it. ;)
Thanks for the video really easy to follow movies and my xbox know look fantastic on my LG c4, thanks for al the work that has gone into this. I noticed some very minor differences between the spreadsheet and the video , which one is the best to set . As an exmple for hdr movies in the video we use filmaker mode and a black level of 48 but in the sheet it says hdr cinema mode and black level of 49. I dont think I would notice any difference and all set same as video, but just curious if video or excel is most accurate. Video worked absolutly fine for me on c4 . apart for one or two setting that is greyed out and for life of me could not seem to work out what changes it ! I will run throught the video again !! I used an SD tv channel (playing some 80's progarmme !!) rather than an SD netflix title, as was unsure what programmes on netflix are sd, so maybe I should use an netflix one next time. Thanks for all the hard work.
Naja die sdr Einstellungen sind nicht so doll. Beispiel PS5 Hell Let Loose oder Insurgency Sandstorm. Die Schatten sind einfach zu stark sodass viel zu viele Details im Schwarz verloren gehen.
This video gets referenced a lot on reddit sub for OLED, so everyone truly respects your input. Thank you on behalf of all there. Can I ask you two things? 1) Can you provide a link to the Alhandra (sp?) video you were using to show off the TV (Granada, right?) 2) When using a ROKU box to stream, I have an option to upcconvert any SD video to HD. Should I allow that to happen? Or tell the Roku box to leave it alone and leave it to the smarts of the TV? I know for an example, when I didn't upconvert an ESPN college game day broadcast, I was not happy with the pixelating I was seeing in the background. These artifacts went away when I upconverted the feed from the Roku.
What input icon do I use for apple tv 4k? Also can I just use the WebOS movie settings for the apple tv? Also your table guide says to use 2.2 for Gamma for SDR content but in the video you say to use BT.1886. Which one is better?
@@techoptimized Thank you. Can you explain what you mean by the paper white brightness of 200 nits when doing hdr calibration for the consoles. On the series x, it only gives options for min TML, max TML and max FFTML. What does the white paper brightness correspond to?
Hi! Thank you for the video! May I ask you a couple of questions on it, by any chance? You say that the optimal color format for the input signal with LG WOLEDs is Limited/Legal Range YcBcR 4:4:4. Could you tell where did you get this information? Also, would it really be better to let the signal source, like PS5 for example, handle the color encoding format conversion instead of the TV? Is it necessary to enable 4:4:4 Passthrough option when PC Mode is enabled to get full chroma information? Regarding the windows ColorControl App, could it allow to change picture settings in the Game Optimizer Mode like Multipoint White Balance and luminance adjustment for grayscale correction? Do you have any input lag measurements for your suggested configuration and color accuracy measurements for Game Optimizer mode (so hard to come by!), by any chance?
Great video! It really improves quality image on my LG G3. Can I ask you something? Why does Limited Video Range improve color? I did not cath it😅 Thank you very much!!!

HI Paolo @techoptimized Thanks very much for your detailed video in recommending settings. I recently purchased a C4 model where I looked into the settings for best picture as I found a lot of judder something I didn't get on my Plasma at least didn't notice it. I wanted to contact you as I'm having problems connecting my Panasonic Surround sound system going through the set-up I managed to power the device up during the set-up after setting up the universal remote control but getting no signal trying all HMDI ports. LG and Panasonic are not able to assist me in troubleshooting further. Are you able to assist as I understand you are using a surround sound system?
Hi, this is mightily impressive work. Thank you so much! I gather that this video contains some outdated info because of firmware updates, but that the linked guide (updated 30th of October 2023) is the most recent version to apply to our 2023 OLEDs right? Am I also correct in assuming that these settings are meant for ideal circumstances i.e. a pitch black room? Thanks again!
Got all your settings up and running and the G3 looks effing amazing! It pops so much more than my CX (which is an amazing viewing experience as well) Another question though please. Have you got any links or additional information on why it is safe to turn Screen Shift and Logo luminance off on the G3. I'm keen to try it, but those features are on for a reason right?
You can find all my reasonings here: www.patreon.com/posts/lg-2023-oleds-82545589 Basically with TPC & GSR finally fixed by LG on 2023 series, those extra burn in preventing measures are actually not needed anymore.
Would you mind sharing the precise ways in which your settings should be adapted for dark room viewing when one finds the brightness too hard on the eyes? I assume for DV that you should simply use the cinema preset rather than cinema home - anything else to change there? For HDR, I saw one reply of yours to disable DTM and another that said to adjust a brightness setting. Could you clarify which of these settings, or any others, should be changed? Basically, I just want to maintain as much of your reference settings optimization as possible while reducing eye strain for dark room viewing. Thank you for the excellent work.
On C4 Game Optimizer doesn’t work anymore with Filmmaker mode on SDR games, at least on PS5. You can either choose Game Optimizer or Filmmaker Mode but not both

How does using an Apple TV 4K affect these settings? I noticed when streaming through an AppleTV 4K, Filmmaker mode is not available due to the Dolby Vision

Thank you so much - helped me get started with my C3 - what settings do you like using for HD live sports streams (daytime watching ) ?
I found your patreon searching for Cyberpunk 2077 HDR settings for the LG C4. You do a great work man!
P.S. From now on, im your subscriber!
wow is all i got to say, grealy appreciate you, god bless
Best picture I have achieved on the G3 and the gaming settings produced excellent outcomes. Thankyou
Thank you for this video. Movies and shows look good but my ps5 looks dark now
Thank you for this fantastic video!
Thx a lot, first day had a lot off issues with my LG G3, willl change the setting according to your video, thx a lot
any problems mine will go back
I just setup my G3 and I went straight to this video after watching it before.
About the Roku: yes, you can just use the same settings of webOS SDR/HDR/DV for it. ;)

They should name a tv after you. Doing the Lord's work.
PAOLO 1 QUESTION... SHOULD I USE GAME OPTIMIZER SOUND WHEN USING GAME OPTIMIZER... PLEASE GET BACK TO ME PLEASE
I use it all the time. I feel you need to use it for less latency.
Hi, thanks for your guide :) What settings do you suggest to watch football? The Filmmaker mode is too faded and sport mode is too saturated.
Great setting, Can you please make new update video, Thanks so much 😊
Naja die sdr Einstellungen sind nicht so doll.
Use any icon other than PC and yes, use webOS settings for it. Latest and best settings are in the chart in the description, so 2.2
@@techoptimized Thank you.
Thanks! Awesome guide, I don’t know what you meant though about the luminance in Halo Infinite in the end, I would have liked it if you showed it 😅
Great video! It really improves quality image on my LG G3.
Can I ask you something?
Why does Limited Video Range improve color? I did not cath it😅
Thank you very much!!!

Comunque bel video, grazie👍🏼
thanks for this, very useful settings, i just bought 65'' b3 but two days later i found c2 65'' in the same price, is it a big difference?
brother one question will lg oled g4 55inch give gud picture clearity of sd channels which is usually 480 p ,if not then what about 720p,?nd 1080p? as im going to buy g4 but our usage is ott+set up box. so im afraid if the tv doesnt show gud sd or hd channels then it will be problematic🙌🙌 nd bro what are the settings for sdr channels in lg g4 55inch?🙌✋
Hi man. Just got my 55 C3. Ive copied everything from your video and it looks stunning. I’ve seen you have an updated guide? I dont understand. Is there any few simple changes I should just change at this point to slightly improves it? Would appreciate a reply
I'm also wondering if I need to adjust something after those 1 year new firmware updates
Yes, the link in the description always has the most recent settings and yes, those settings are geared toward a dark/dim room.
Pc settings for sdr and hdr movies please and what settings for nvidia
Also disagree on dynamic tone mapping ON for HDR gaming, it should be HGIG whenever possible
These look great on my c3! But would these settings work for my c2 as well?
This is so helpful!!!!!!
Got all your settings up and running and the G3 looks effing amazing! It pops so much more than my CX (which is an amazing viewing experience as well)
Another question though please. Have you got any links or additional information on why it is safe to turn Screen Shift and Logo luminance off on the G3. I'm keen to try it, but those features are on for a reason right?
You can find all my reasonings here: www.patreon.com/posts/lg-2023-oleds-82545589
Basically with TPC & GSR finally fixed by LG on 2023 series, those extra burn in preventing measures are actually not needed anymore.

Always do console settings last cause when you adjust pictures settings it changes the hdr nits especially on xbox series
Thanks you amazing video, do you have any settings for sports viewing?
On C4 Game Optimizer doesn’t work anymore with Filmmaker mode on SDR games, at least on PS5. You can either choose Game Optimizer or Filmmaker Mode but not both
You need to have internal speakers set to Game Optimizer audio preset as well
Thank you Sir 💪
This is amazing! Thank you
Hello friend, have there been any changes to the hdr for the ps5? in the most updated case? and which image mode should I use?
Dude your settings ARE THE BEST AND THANKS FOR ALWAYS ANSWERING ALL MY QUESTIONS!! If using gamemode black lvl would be left at 50 with dark areas left at 2 correct?
@@damianmontgomery3292 That's only for HGIG
How about sports? What's the best for football on HDR? Same as movies?
Thank you
Are you sure the tv not going to have "burn in" effects if i switch off all the Oled care settings??
Yes
Help me out so much but I notice Xbox has more settings on this tv than PlayStation but the settings I was able to use helped me out so much took my lag away thank you man
Mind giving us a quick run down on how to setup Nintendo Switch as well... help! 😬
This is covered on the Patreon page
How does using an Apple TV 4K affect these settings? I noticed when streaming through an AppleTV 4K, Filmmaker mode is not available due to the Dolby Vision
Your hdr settings for seried x do not look correct.. In the Calibrated v Uncalibrated images, the detail on the clouds on the top right corner are completely crushed..
I am comming from a c1 and just got the c3. This is the first time I hear someone saying to shut screen move and adjust logo brightness to off!?
Great vid, just applied all settings to my c3. I did loose my game optimizer settings on the bottom center when I press the gear button. Don't know why.
You've to also set Internal Speakers audio to "Game Optimizer" sound preset to preserve the game bar
Thank you 🙏
Been loving your gameplay videos! I have LG C2 and what hdr tone mapping should I use, what hdr tone mapping did you use yourself and why?
Hi! Thank you so much for that video. It helped me configure my Lg G3. I just had a question: I'm using a Nvidia Shield Pro to watch UHD movies, should I use the Xbox PC settings?
Thanks
How should I calibrate HDR on PS5 with the G4 latest Firmware update??
Should i follow this video guide or the doc sheet? Very different settings here and the patreon link. Thanks:-)
Use the video as a guide, but latest and greatest settings are in the link ;)
Excellent video sir. What about pc setting for lg C3 hdr on? I didn’t see anything about this.
Just use Xbox settings for the TV and then on PC follow this guide: www.patreon.com/posts/88124101
Great Vid Ty Paolo, hey if you're throwing the TV away at some point I'll have it

Hi, first time OLED owner here. Followed your video (plus updates). I was just wondering if I'm still better off with DTM + - 4 FTBL, or should I move back to optimizer picture mode with HGIG? I haven't noticed any input delay, and I'm more of a set it and leave it kind of person. Thank you.
