    Scott, l was in the exact spot you were in on the 18th, l was using a gold spoon and caught an 18 inch very tasty redfish. The funny thing I was about waist deep in water casting my spoon when l looked in front of me and saw a 3 or 4 foot shark heading straight l mean straight at me..l went into turbo back pedal mode and scared him enough making so much noise that he spun around and left. Did it stop me from fishing, nope l am either dedicated or dumb I just wanted to take home some redfish.

      😳 it’s always sketchy seeing them hahaha. that’s dedication if you ask me!

      If you can find a spot out of the wind there should be a few fish to be caught! Anytime man, thanks for watching.

    Redfish SLAYER! Are popping corks typically paired with artificial? Have you tried popping dead or live shrimp?

    • @KayakingKennedy
      @KayakingKennedy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks tony! It’s about 50/50. When we fish live shrimp on trips it’s usually under a popping cork.

    • @kylemcgee2951
      @kylemcgee2951 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KayakingKennedy Do you use treble hooks under cork when fishing live shrimps?

    • @KayakingKennedy
      @KayakingKennedy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Kyle if I’m getting abunch of short strikes I’ll put on a treble but I try to use circle hooks if possible. A lot of times fish get those live shrimp pretty deep and a treble can do some damage in the back of their gullets.

    Staying in Fort Morgan this summer and taking my kayak. Is it easy to locate the bar if you’re unfamiliar with the area?

  • @bltedder

    That's it! I've resisted long enough! I'm going to grab a popping cork for my next inshore adventure. Just in case.

    Great job brother. How much leader do you run off the popping to you lure

    • @KayakingKennedy
      @KayakingKennedy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks sam! I usually run about 18-20” but I was going about 10-12” in this video

      Thank you I have been trying the vodoo and doa I still have never caught anything with them. But I am still trying

    • @KayakingKennedy
      @KayakingKennedy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try adding some procure scent and if you’re using them on the beach run a light leader (10-15lb floor) to hide that line real well.
