My Legacy contact settings was found under the category Manage Account. I did not have the Memorialization category but I believe I still had the same information to set up a legacy Account. How long does the process of memorialization take by Facebook? I have submitted the required information, several weeks ago, and nothing has happened yet.
Good thing to include to the check list when making a new living trust and last will. Plus I have paper rolodex cards that I update with passwords which the trustee of my estate can get to when needed. Not electronic, not on line, simple paper cards that are only accessible to trustee of living trust.

Does facebook automatically delete your facebook profile after a few months of inactivity? Or does facebook keep your profile alive as a default even after you pass? It's not a complicated process, I select the date of her death, upload her death certificate, add my e-mail address... And get an error message immediately, saying, there is an error and Facebook is working on the problem. I know Someone whose Moms page was memorialized without their permission & don’t know who was not close family because asked it was actually page created & Managed For her especially when she was sick she wanted them to keep it active Which was not respected Plus She Put 2 of her Children who helped her create it in charge of it & other stuff when she got sick
NO one discusses if YOU-I are the legacy, how do we start the process. My wife passed away last week and I know she made me her legacy and even confirned it on her cell. So do I use my phone and my account or should I use her phone under her account, how does the LEGACY start this? It is not at all cut and dry as it should be. ugh Help? Thanks.
Yes,It's really frustrating that the support team is unwilling to help. I had the same problems with my account, but an expert was able to solve the problem for me.
It hurts when someone passes away. I found out people I know that I went to high school with passed away. By seeing their account saying remembering this person. I was upset that I found out they passed away 😢
