There was a Citroen mod to be carried out by dealers, a two piece bolt on cup fitted under the lower spring seat as sometimes if the lower small spring coil breaks off the larger coil end can drop over seat and puncture tyres and could cause an acccident.. This C3 did not have the mod done, it was a factory recall.

I did this but my strut was rotated so the sway bar link sits at an angle I need to rotate to strut more but can’t seem to get it to budge as it’s already in the knuckle will I need to take it out of the knuckle? 😊
Wow I'm a joiner by trade so spanners etc isn't my kind of work but the Mrs spring went yesterday so I ordered the from euro car parts and I cant yet get hold of a mobile mechanic so I'm thinking after watching this and a small layout of tools that could always come in handy I honestly think I could do it. I'm going to just open the bonnet and have a look round and if it's the same I will save myself £240 + parts - a few tools 🔧I reckon it's time to have ago
@@autodocuk it was a pain in the ass for me 'cause it explodes the bearing with so much pression... And my shocks became damaged after 3 months... After searching in the servicebox, this piece showed up tô me and i still with the same shocks after that, 1 year. Great Compliments from Brazil!!!!

looks extremely easy! will test this when i get my new struts.

Is that ok if spring is bowing out after decompessed? I got is so much out, so is damaged top rubber where bush is sitting in.

In the final assembly the pin on top mounting of suspension should be located in the outer hole of chassis mount prior to tightening up.

In this process is missing 1 piece... This piece is placed between the bearing and the spring!
