    I swear to god, after seeing almost every Bill interview..the key to getting Bill to go off on his legendary comedic rants is to make him uncomfortable early. As soon as it happens Bill takes the car fully off-road *LMFAO* . He can't just skid off the gravel and then get back on the road....he just goes off the road, drives over fences, runs over gardeners, clips kids playing in the yard and end up through the window of subway.....then if he hears _WOULD YOU LIKE A COOKIE_ ... *IT'S GAME OVER*

    So a few things: 1. The interviewer is great, he knows exactly when to let bill speak, how to get clarification, and when to push him back on topic. 2 Bill Burr is great to the audiance. Even when he's making fun of them he knows how to turn it into a flattering moment, ie when he picks out the guy on the cellphone but then insinuates that he's on it because he's successful.

    It's refreshing to see someone like Bill Burr. With him, you feel like you're watching an honest, upfront person talking about their trade and other things. It's not the usual promotional PR crap filled with rehearsed and repeated anecdotes.
    This kind of honesty in a person is usually detrimental to a career as the higher you go up the corporate and career ladder, the more bullshit comes with it. It's just natural. Bill might end there too now that he has a child and he needs more money, but so far he's still real.
    Also, this interview is exhibit A that you can't beat natural talent. Burr is just freaking funny, you can sit him in a room and he will make you laugh just discussing the surroundings. That's a gift.
    Cool guy and I hope all keeps going well for him.

    I completely agree about inconsiderate people, in that they drive me crazy too. One of my pet peeve examples is when grocery shopping, in a store with aisles just big enough for two carts next to each other (using logic, one line of carts going one way and another going the opposite, like street traffic)- when someone ignores logic and the ever-growing line of people being inconvenienced as they roll their cart directly down the middle (preventing anyone from passing on either side), and abandon their cart (which is blocking traffic) while they take time to comparison shop for several minutes. This happens constantly. Pull off to the side. Pay attention to the other people around you, so that you will be aware of the half dozen pissed off people having to deal with your selfishness. Do you also drive down the center dividing-line, leaving your car in the middle of the street to go shopping? If not, then why would you do the same thing on a smaller scale?
    Another example is littering/vandalism. There is a nice trail through a patch of woods that connects my apartment complex with the shopping center on the other side. It used to be quite pleasant to walk through on way to work or going to Kroger; now, it is strewn with garbage. It takes seven minutes to walk from my complex to the shopping center, which means that these lazy people couldn't be bothered to hold their cups or wrappers for three more minutes on the walk home. Kids would also tag the buildings in the center and destroy property/damage cars, so the shopping center has several times tried to fence off the trail so as to not allow any traffic. Granted, each time there would be a whole punched through the fence within a matter of days, and the center eventually just created an entrance by the trail and put up cameras, but it is a shame that they had to even do that much.
    If people had more consideration for others, I think many of our problems would be solved, and fewer people would have such a negative outlook on the world/humanity. As it stands, I can relate to that feeling, but only because so many people either A) are too oblivious to notice how their actions are effecting others (which is the lesser offense, since it happens to everyone occasionally, and can be forgiven with an apology and attempt to correct the behavior), or B) don't even care that their actions are negatively effecting others, even if they did notice (which is worse, because it is basically giving the finger to everyone that you are negatively impacting).
    These kinds of things drive me crazy. I can just see Bill doing the same thing I do, which is try to be tolerant for a few dozen seconds as the pressure builds, until you erupt with a frustrated and loud "Excuse me, Sir/Madam", as you move their abandoned cart to the side, or "Do you mind?" as the five people behind me sigh in relief that someone finally said something to the dick that is holding us all up. If I am particularly frustrated, I might say something like, "You know, if you move your cart to the side when you are browsing, the people behind you can then move around you, rather than you inconveniencing everyone around you." And I think Bill is enough like me that he would feel justified in his frustration in the moment, but would kick himself when replaying the incident for getting so frustrated/passive-aggressive.

    • @KelleyBroussardMackaig
      @KelleyBroussardMackaig 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are so right. I HATE when people at the grocery store push their buggies right down the center of the isles - and I have to accidentally bump things off the shelves trying to go around them. I mean, I could just as easily say "excuse me" - but that's beside the point. Common decent courtesy has really become a think of the past.
      Sorry to hear about that walk way that you used to use becoming such a dump... IMO - I think that they need to impose harsher fines for people who trash public spaces like that. It's unacceptable behavior.

    • @quantumperception
      @quantumperception 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another pet peeve of mine is with my fellow smokers, along the same line with the littering one- tossing their butts, rather than putting them in a receptacle, or putting them out and disposing of the butts later, as I do. Especially nowadays, if you are not in a private residence, you are forced to smoke outside public buildings (government buildings, restaurants, shops/stores, etc.). Assuming there is no ash tray/can, I just knock the cherry off of mine, or put it out on the bottom of my shoe. I then put the butt into my back pocket, until I eventually encounter a trash can or place to properly dispose of waste. I don't just chuck mine into the woods, grass, etc. I guess this is just another manifestation of my pet peeve concerning disregard of others and being inconsiderate. And it doesn't even seem that out of my way or difficult.
      For the most part, I am a selfish person, or more accurately, a rationally self-interested person. An aspect of the rational part, however, means understanding that if I have the right to certain things, others also have those rights. If I want others to pay me a certain consideration, I should do the same for them. If I don't want people trashing my place for instance, then I shouldn't trash any place that isn't mine. If I want people to be considerate of my time/needs in public, then I should do the same for them, and not waste their time by being selfish in a way that negatively impacts them.
      Don't get me wrong, I don't live my entire life worried about what others think of my opinions/beliefs, or whatever- if I have been reasonable in the way that I treat you, and you still don't like me or are being a dick, then screw you. I only feel justified in feeling that way, however, if I have been reasonable. Again, I try to be considerate, and there are still times when I fail, and someone snaps at me or is aggressive, and then I find out that I was being inconsiderate in some way that I had not realized. I always apologize and promise to correct the behavior that they brought to my attention, and that usually solves the problem, and they perhaps feel like I do after snapping (that I wish I had started earlier and with more diplomacy, rather than letting the pressure building, and being more confrontational). That is why I said previously that not realizing how you are negatively impacting others is not as bad/is more understandable to me than just not caring how you negatively impact others, which is worse. Even if you actively try to be considerate towards others, there are going to be times when you are ignorant/unaware of their needs/problems. So long you apologize and attempt to correct, then it should be all good, and I should just write it off as 'mistakes are just part of human learning.' If you instead do not care how you screw others over, then I feel you lose the right to complain if those people then screw you over. If I point out that you are blocking people with your cart by going down the middle, and you say "tough" and continue, then I would feel justified (though I would never actually do it) in pushing in front of you and blocking your cart from moving. I can tell he is like me in that he has these types of frustrations and fantasies, but would never actually do most of what he dreams up- he will just yell or try to win with humor or by breaking someone down psychologically (not that I share this talent, just the frustrations/revenge fantasies). He has said a (para)phrase that I often do when dreaming up how to punish rude people- "and everyone else would probably just cheer at what I did to this a**hole! Oh well; I'd never f*cking do it- it's just nice to dream." lol.
