I've had that level of anger for years even as a teenager. Because I understand how it feels to constantly get dealt the shorthand all the time.
I'm 34 and deployed to Afghanistan and I love this show because I have three kids and I know I do this crap to them.. this show makes me think about it though. It's almost like it keeps me from doing it. I laugh about it because I relate to the dad so much, but really I understand dad's can't be like that constantly. So idk it sort of makes me remember to think. In the show he loves his kids for sure. He's just an outspoken combat war veteran. I'm an outspoken combat war veteran... and I just wanna be a good Mellow dad so I love this show. It makes me check myself and laughter is good for the soul.

Seeing Frank toss Pogo's keys to the floor and jam his car door with the pen just makes me feel like I'm in a warm, sunny field of happy kittens.
I actually laughed out loud when he said, "You fucker," the first time.

It's interesting how when he's doing the "angry dad yelling" bit, I just picture bill burr doing a bit on stage, but in the more serious moments, I totally believe in the character. I feel Bill has more depth than people give him credit for.

I feel really bad for Frank for all the bullshit he has been through
most notably having his post Highschool life and prime disrupted by being told to goto war, getting critically wounded, and trying to re-adapt to his country after war.

I think it’s funny when you think about how Frank is trying not to make the same mistakes with Bill that he did with Kevin, but his actions regardless are already messing him up wether intentional or not. Look at when Bill was under the bed while his parents were going at it as an example 😅
