Scope concept was a revolution most average uk club lakes can be fished easier with short rods. An additional plus is you can keep a set of scope or dwarf rods in the boot of the car for before or after work short sessions.
One of the biggest innovations is Scope. It genuinely made people think about what you need for what you’re trying to do. Love my 10ft corks and they cover 90% of my angling. Brave decision to part with convention. Great video and Rich is a master at getting considered responses out of people. 👏👏
The Urban Banx series also shone a light on a sub genre as it were of carp fishing that was being overlooked by the carp media at the time. I'd argue that the Scope range marked a pivotal moment is carp fishing which saw its popularity go beyond traditional venues and demographic.
I have fished England and USA for years with my 10ft 3.0 and 3.5 test scope rods . Just caught my first river monster while fishing for carp. A 9’ sturgeon estimated weight around 400lbs on 20lb mono and a size 4 barbless hook. 45 minutes to get it in. Scope rods are very well made and well worth the money.
The absolute best thing about scopes is if your unfortunate enough to have to use a bus to get to a venue you dont end up hitting everyone the bus with your rods
I love Alan Blair, he's such a genuine nice modest guy and a lot of fun but obviously a great carp fisherman and he's not up his own arse like some fox presenters that I wont mention but Mark Pitchers thinks his great and in my opinion he couldn't tie Alans shoelaces. I love all the Nash products, they are all top quality and the scope range is brilliant. keep up the great work Alan and tight lines my friend 👍
I must have skill then i fish small venues snagy and i use a 13ft sonik specialist barbel rod 1.75lb test curve for my surface fishing and my under arm casting is on point im catching at lakes that people really struggle at by me that mirror in my profile pic is from an abandoned hard 32ft deep but small lake snaggy as fk and carp are ignorant as fk iv had around 20 total this year now doing a hard nature reserve i see people come n go blanking i blanked my first sesion just susing out the water the last 7 sesions after that iv had one each sesion 😂 i am confident im a very skilled surface angler but bottom fishing im average still have a lot to learn but i love the hunt of surface fishing nothing better than it

6ft dwarfs are all i use now. I just love their packdown size and to be honest i rearlly need too cast over 35yards.

You must have big lungs to be able to say all that without a single break. Punctuation helps a lot :) Glad you are enjoying your angling though.
Sonik insurgent are far better than scopes they can replace a 12ft rod
